0 Chavis Records Signs Seventh Rize
SEVENTH RIZE has signed on with CHAVIS RECORDS for the release of ‘FULL MOON’. ‘FULL MOON’ is produced by Bobby Rock (Nelson, Vinnie Vincent Invasion, Hardline), with songs co-written with Bruce Turgon (Foreigner, Places Of Power). SEVENTH RIZE hails from Texas and is comprised of Stacy Humphries-vocals, Sulli-drums, Jerry Stone-guitars, and David Hamilton-bass.
‘FULL MOON’ is set to be released in February 2009.
SEVENTH RIZE performed live on VH1 in July at an event for ‘Bret Michaels – Rock Of Love’ alumni – Rodeo, which led the band to write and record the track ‘To Love Rodeo, To Win Rodeo’. Impressed with the track, VH1 has decided to license the track and use it with a future show. ‘To Love Rodeo, To Win Rodeo’ was co-written and produced by Bruce Turgon.
SEVENTH RIZE will be supporting ‘FULL MOON’ in 2009. A CD release party is currently being planned with the first single ‘Full Moon’ going to radio December 2nd. SEVENTH RIZE is managed by Discoverstars Music Management.

1 Chavis Records Signs X-Thirtien
Florida based metal outfit X-THIRTIEN has signed on with CHAVIS RECORDS for their debut release ‘YOU’RE NEXT’. X-THIRTIEN is comprised of U.S. and European based musicians featuring Joe Russell, Johnny Osborn, Rollie Feldman, Mathias Lang, Tracy Ferrell, and Erik Zvanut.
2 years in the making, ‘YOU’RE NEXT’ is a concept album that tells the saga of good versus evil, a man transformed into superman, in conjunction with a band transformed into a super band. This is a breakthrough concept for the “fan loyal” New Rock genre. Passionate, powerful lyrics are placed inside the thick, heavy sound of X-THIRTIEN. Intense meaning alongside the grooves and riffs certainly becomes cathartic to listeners and fans all alike. The CD was recorded at Third Stone Studios in L.A., produced by Dana and Justin Walden (Sevendust), Mudrock (Godsmack) with the help of world famous Toby Wright (the man behind some of the biggest bands in the business, including Metallica, Alice n Chains and Tantric). Mixing the project to perfection, James Murphy who has done work for Nuclear Blast, Century Media, Roadrunner, Candle Light, Metal Blade, a talented producer/engineer, known for creating intense mixes and massive sounds throughout the record industry.
X-THIRTIEN is taking the album concept and transforming it into a full stage production and heading out on the road bringing the show to the fans. The demand for the band continues to increase. X-THIRTIEN tour dates will begin in 09 throughout the States and may also include shows in Canada, Europe, Japan, South America and Australia.

0 Snake Eyes Seven To Return in 2009!
Canadian metallers Snake Eyes Seven disappeared from the scene as quickly as they appeared. Snake Eyes Seven released their debut on Chavis Records in 2007 and began playing U.S. shows only to return back to Canada abruptly due to tension within the band. Founder and chief songwriter Cole Stevens put the band on hiatus while sorting out the issues and decompressing from the turmoil created.
Cole Stevens…
“It took a long time to get things up and running and in a blink of an eye it was over. Once we returned from the U.S. things deteriorated quickly. Members left and I wasn’t sure myself if I wanted to continue what I had started. It definitely took its toll on me mentally, physically and financially. As time went on I realized that I wasn’t going to let the negative influences in the old band keep me from moving ahead with my music. My batteries were recharged and it was time to start all over again. I made a call to Chavis and asked Bill if he was still in my corner. Knowing that he is, made me more determined to prove that this is for real. Then I set out to find the best musicians I could which took time, but I got them.”
The new SES line up is: Ken Stone (vx), Moscow (b), Johnny Bland (d), and Cole Steven (g).
Snake Eyes Seven hit the studio earlier this year with 13 brand new songs and Cam McLeod (White Wolf) producing. “This project is light years ahead of the debut. People are not going to believe it is the same band. Everyone in the camp is excited about the new material. All I can say is WOW! You just won’t believe it.” adds Bill Chavis
The band is currently finishing up recording and then it will be mixed before heading to L.A. for mastering. Stay tuned…

Tragic Orange is Phill Skiba (VX), Christina Vitucci (D), Jimmy Pavlis (B), Steve Valdez (G) and Victor Fakhoury (G). The 5 piece rock band hails from Long Island, New York, portraying a very strong international phenomenon with each member’s different ethnic background and North American upbringing; they have brought the missing link in the sound for today’s modern music.
The band was formed in 2005, and after many auditions and a very solid self titled album under their belt, the line up was finalized with the joining of Jimmy Pavlis on bass and Victor Fakhoury on guitar. The band quickly grew musically as the 5 members made sure to mold themselves on to one another’s inspirations and musical taste. With an endless amount of hours in the rehearsal studio, the band’s sound has grown and developed dramatically. Their melodic and haunting verses and brightly open hard hitting catchy choruses as well as their mind invading sing along vocals won’t stop ringing in the listeners head.
They have captured the hearts of many fans through their unique musicianship. Christina’s power drumming
reminiscent of John Bonham, keeps the strong back bone timing of the band in check. Jimmy’s hard thumping bass patterns and driving rhythms keeps you locked into the music, with Steve’s guitar playing creating a landscape of sound typically not heard out of a guitar. Vik’s rhythmic playing and worldly trippy effects makes you feel the trance within. Tying it all together are Phill’s soaring melodies and lucid poetic lyrics that reaches out, grabs you by the throat, and intensely shakes your subconscious until it feels every last word that is uttered from his voice.
The stage presence of Tragic Orange is known to be one of the most energetic experiences crowds have witnessed. CHAVIS RECORDS is thrilled to announce the signing of DC4 featuring Jeff Duncan (Armored Saint, Odin), Rowan Robertson (Dio), Shawn Duncan (Odin), and Matt Duncan. EXPLODE, the latest effort from DC4 saw a very limited release by the band earlier this year and now with an all new package design, and new artwork on the inside, will see a full scale release later this year. EXPLODE was produced by Joey Vera (Armored Saint, Fates Warning).
DC4 is Jeff on vocals and guitar, Rowan on guitar, Matt on bass/vocals and Shawn on drums.
Jeff Duncan and Shawn Duncan of Odin fame and notable for their appearances in The Decline Of Western Civilization – The Metal Years, formed DC4 with brother Matt Duncan in 1995 and released their debut E.P. Mood Swings produced by Joe Floyd (Bruce Dickinson, Warrior). In 2001 DC4 released Volume One which was produced by Joey Vera (Armored Saint, Fates Warning). With Rowan Robertson most notably for his dynamic guitar wizardry on Dio’s ‘Lock Up The Wolves’, joining the ranks in 2006, DC4 is now a combustible powerhouse of modern classic hard rock standing on its own with a definitive and uncompromised sound showcasing the highly skilled musical talent and song writing of the members that is DC4.
Plans are in the works for DC4 to hit the road in support of EXPLODE and additional details on the release date will soon be announced.

4 Chavis Records Signs The Bulletboys!
Chavis Records has announced the signing of the BULLETBOYS to the label for their new worldwide release. The band is currently in the studio finishing the final recordings before heading to the mixing and mastering phase. The project is being recorded at El Garaje Studios in Cape Coral, FL.
Singer Marq Torien comments – “I am extremely excited about signing with a label that really understands what I am about and that my talent still perseveres. This is extremely rare in the business these days.”
The Bulletboys will be heading out on the road this summer in support of their new release with major tour announcements to be released in the very near future. Checkout the new track ‘Road To Nowhere’ here.

0 Asphalt Valentine – Deadwood Saloon – 3/20/08
Asphalt Valentine returned to the Deadwood Saloon last Thursday night. The band played here back in January, but singer Joe Flynt was ill, and his vocals were inaudible at that show. (You can read about that show here.) The band promised to return, and to rock the Deadwood Saloon on their trip back.
I can happily say, they made good on their promise.The band played a tight set of tunes from their up and coming CD, Strip Rock Roll that will soon to be released by Chavis Records. The set included the following tunes:
Down To the Aces, Motorcade, Hard Life, It’s Not Me, Dirty Little Secret, Don’t Come Easy, Love & Gone, Love Story, Strip Rock Roll, Never Lose It, Be Your Drug, and Bombshell
The band was in good form, and I was surprised at how much singer, Joe Flynt sounded like a young Vince Neil at times. Asphalt Valentine has a bunch of cool hard edged tunes at their disposal, and the Deadwood Saloon provided a perfect intimate setting to check them out for the first time. I expect once the new album is released, Asphalt Valentine will not be playing in small clubs for much longer.

1 Chavis Records signs the Dogs Divine!
Chicago, IL based rockers THE DOGS DIVINE has signed with CHAVIS RECORDS for their debut release ‘Way Of Life‘. Paul Crosby (of SALIVA) was selected to produce the album and what has been delivered is 10 tracks of energetic, soul shaking, whiskey fueled thunderous rock n’ roll.
