It’s been quite the year for the Platinum-selling alternative hard rock trio CHEVELLE, after sold-out tours and the release of their sixth full-length album Hats Off To The Bull; which scored the group one of the biggest hits of their career with the explosive single “Face to The Floor.” With eleven “Top 10” rock and alternative singles and over 4 million albums sold in the U.S. alone, the group will release their first-ever collection of hits titled STRAY ARROWS-A Collection of Favorites on December 4 via Epic Records. The collection will feature all eleven hits and a brand new song titled “Fizgig.”
The Chicago trio CHEVELLE—PETE LOEFFLER (Guitars, Vocals), SAM LOEFFLER (Drums) and DEAN BERNARDINI (Bass, Vocals)–have long characterized the spirit of the underdog since their independent debut album Point #1. The group joined Epic Records and delivered their major label breakthrough in 2002 with Wonder What’s Next. The platinum-release spawned the chart-topping hits “Send The Pain Below” and “The Red,” and led to high profile tours like OZZfest. Their follow-up This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In (2004) exceeded gold status and its follow-up Vena Sara bolstered their national prominence even further. The band scored its highest entry on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart when Sci-Fi Crimes (2009) debuted at #6 on the chart. Their latest release Hats Off To The Bull (2011) scored them two radio hits “Face To The Floor”–which dominated the #1 spot on the Active Rock Chart for over 13 weeks–and the title track “Hats Off To The Bull.”

0 JANUS RETURNS WITH ‘NOX AERIS’ ALBUM, DUE OUT MARCH 27 ON REALID RECORDS/ILG; TOUR WITH CHEVELLE AND MIDDLE CLASS RUT STARTS FEBRUARY 24
JANUS—singer David Scotney, guitarist Mike Tyranski, bassist Alan Quitman and drummer Johnny Salazar—experienced great success with their 2009 debut album, RED RIGHT RETURN, but the band’s new album, NOX AERIS, reveals how far they’ve come.
That musical revelation is the self-produced NOX AERIS, which is due out March 27 on REALID Records (through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group). The first single, “Stains,” is already getting spins at WIIL (Chicago), KPNT (St. Louis), WBUZ (Nashville), WJJO (Madison), WWBN (Flint), KHTQ (Spokane), as well as SiriusXM’s “Octane” and “Hard Drive XL.” Early feedback includes Zigz at WBUZ (Nashville), who says, “If ‘Stains’ is a taste of things to come… then 2012 is going to be a great year for Janus. They’ve hit on a new level with ‘Stains’… this track is righteous.”
“Stains” explores what can happen when you don’t follow your heart, the marks left on your spirit when you become someone you’re not. “It embodies what I was trying to say on the record,” says singer David Scotney, “it’s a dark point of view, but represents a cathartic process of self-healing.”
In 2012 touring news, the band’s first round of tour dates will be with Chevelle and Middle Class Rut starting February 24 in Grand Rapids, MI. Additional dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
The record’s title, which is Latin for “night air,” comes from the 14th Century, a period where a third of the European population was killed off by the plague. Then, people believed going outdoors at night would cause them to succumb to the Black Death. While writing NOX AERIS, JANUS found this idea to be an apt metaphor for their own journey, preconceived notions of their own being flipped around as they became a bigger, more established band since the release of RED RIGHT RETURN. NOX AERIS reveals who JANUS is and what they’ve gone through.
RED RIGHT RETURN came out in September 2009 on REALID Records and spawned the Top 10 Active Rock hit, “Eyesore.” They spent months on the road touring with Chevelle, Sick Puppies, Sevendust, Pop Evil, Halestorm, Five Finger Death Punch, and Alice In Chains. JANUS also sold-out numerous headlining shows of their own, appeared on MTV’s “Headbangers Ball” and performed in the biggest rock festivals in the U.S., including Rock On The Range. Absolutepunk.net raved about the album: “There are a few bands, given the opportunity, could take the radio by storm. JANUS is a perfect example of this type of band. If they were given the chance, and played on some larger radio stations alongside all of our alternative ‘favorites’ (sound-alikes), they could earn themselves hordes of fans.” While Away-team.com hailed in a 9 out of 10 album review: “Brilliant on many levels and impeccably engineered and produced to perfection.”

Tour begins in Grand Rapids, MI on March 26, 2010
Three Days Grace have announced dates for their U.S. headlining tour in support of the band’s most recent release Life Starts Now. The first leg of the tour will start in Grand Rapids, MI on March 26th at the Delta Plex and conclude on April 16th in Springfield, MA at the Springfield Civic Center. Joining Three Days Grace on tour will be special guests Chevelle as well as Adelita’s Way.
“Break” the first single from Life Starts Now has been #1 on the Active Rock Radio chart for 12 weeks and was #1 at Mainstream Rock for seven weeks. It also reached Top 5 at Alternative Radio. Life Starts Now debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 charts making it the highest debut ever for the band.
The second single “The Good Life” is just now being serviced at radio.
The band just completed a 2 month co-headlining tour of the U.S. with Breaking Benjamin and special guest Flyleaf and prior to that a national headline Canadian tour.
The Toronto-based rock band is comprised of Adam Gontier (vocals, guitar), Neil Sanderson (drums, piano), Brad Walst (bass), and Barry Stock (lead guitar).
Their first album, the self titled Three Days Grace, was released in 2003. The album generated 3 hit singles, “I Hate Everything About You” which reached #2 on the Mediabase Modern Rock chart and Top 5 on the Mediabase Mainstream Rock chart, “ Just Like You” which went to #1 on both the Mediabase Modern Rock and Mediabase Mainstream Rock charts, and “Home” which went to #2 on the Mediabase Mainstream Rock chart.
One-X, the band’s sophomore album was released in 2006 and debuted on the Billboard Album Chart at #5. That album also produced 3 #1 Mediabase Mainstream Rock singles “Animal I’ve Become,” “Pain” and “Never Too Late.”
In 2007 Mediabase ranked Three Days Grace as the # 1 artist in airplay across all rock formats (Modern Rock, Active Rock, Mainstream Rock). That same year R&R/Billboard also ranked Three Days Grace as # 1 Active Rock Artist of the Year, # 1 Rock Artist of the Year and # 2 Modern Rock/Alternative Artist of the Year.
Both Three Days Grace and One-X have been certified Platinum. Three Days Grace has sold over 4 million albums worldwide.

1 “Stimulate This!” Staind, Shinedown, Chevelle, Halestorm and Atlantic Records Deliver Rock Fans Their Own Bail-Out; U.S. Tour Kicks Off July 1 in Peoria, IL, Featuring Discounted Ticket Prices and Local Value Add-Ins for Ticketholders
Hard rock mavens Staind, Shinedown, Chevelle and Halestorm will be teaming up this summer for the “Stimulate This!” tour, a four-band bill designed to offer fans maximum value at a minimal price.
Making its way across the U.S. beginning July 1 and extending through early September, the “Stimulate This!” tour will hit more than 40 U.S. markets, including some of the hardest hit by the recession. In a show of solidarity for their fans, the four bands have worked closely with the concert promoters to create a package of exceptional value for ticket buyers. Through their collective efforts, they’ve been able to maintain modest base ticket prices that remain mostly under $40 each — half the cost of comparable multi-band summer tour packages — with some venues offering lawn seats for less than $10. Additionally, each tour stop will include special promotions for ticket holders that will vary from market to market, but could include discounts on concessions at the venue during the show, store discounts at local retailers, and online rebates for band merchandise to name a few.
Inspired by the bands’ efforts to craft a cost-efficient tour for their fans during these hard times, Atlantic Records will give away a pair of tickets to five fans in every market who pose the best reason as to why they need a free night of rock.
