Europe’s leading melodic rock & AOR label, Frontiers Records is celebrating TWO nominations in the ‘Best Album of the Year 2011’ category of this year’s prestigious Classic Rock Magazine Roll of Honor Awards.

Journey are one of the post popular American Rock bands of all time, and this year released their album, ‘Eclipse’ on Frontiers Records to critical acclaim.  With 12 brand new studio tracks, produced by Kevin Shirley (Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden), co-produced by Neal Schon & Jonathan Cain and mixed by David Kalmusky, founding member & lead guitarist Neal Schon says, “I’m in love with this record, which I haven’t said about one of our albums for a long time, it’s a rock record & it sounds amazing”.  Journey are: Neal Schon (lead guitar), Jonathan Cain (keyboards, guitar), Ross Valory (bass), Deen Castronovo (drums) & Arnel Pineda (lead singer)

Since their formation in 1973, Journey has earned 19 Top 40 singles and 25 gold and platinum albums. The band’s Greatest Hits album is certified 15 times platinum, bringing Journey into the elite club of Diamond-certified album holders. The group also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – but will they be adding a Classic Rock award to their arsenal of accolades?

Whitesnake, the legendary rock’n’roll legacy founded by renowned singer/songwriter David Coverdale this year released their 11th studio album, ‘Forevermore’ – via Frontiers Records.

David Coverdale describes the new album as “a perfect blend of all the good elements we enjoy in Whitesnake; hard rock, rhythm & blues, soul and strong melodies.  I feel it embraces a consolidated musical history of the band that we have rarely achieved before, but without borrowing from the past.  It’s a goon ‘un, one of our best.  We are honoured, once again, to be nominated for this prestigious award”

Formed in 1977 Whitesnake carry a rightful reputation as one of the world’s leading rock’n’roll bands. Coverdale’s blues roots, combined with a passion for rock’ n’ roll, have shaped a sound that spawned  a multi-platinum album in 1987, two top 10 hits & two number one singles.  With over 100 Million records sold worldwide the bands ever-loyal legion of fans will be no doubt be voting for these perennial rock favorites!

Serafino Perugino, President and A&R Director of  Frontiers Records is delighted by news of the nominations, “Whitesnake and Journey showed they can still come up with outstanding music that sounds fresh & exciting in this day & age. 5 Terry Brock To Release “Diamond Blue” via Frontiers Records

  • June 14, 2010
  • by Rob Rockitt
  • · Entertainment · Hard Rock Music · Hard Rock News · Music

Frontiers Records will release on August 27th in Europe and September 14th in the USA “Diamond Blue”, the anticipated second solo album from the gifted singer Terry Brock. Best known as current vocalist in the Melodic Rock titans Giant, Terry has also recently announced to rejoin Strangeways, the legendary British AOR band that launched his name in the spotlight in the late 80’s, for the recording of a brand new album.

Still, in between these two very important milestone albums in the melodic rock year, Terry managed to complete “Diamond Blue” in collaboration with renowned guitarist / producer / songwriter Mike Slamer. The two of them have already worked together in Seventh Key and on the Slamer album “Nowhere Land” and have already showed the world the magic that the combination of their talent can achieve. “I had been working with Mike on Seventh Key and Slamer, so it was a natural progression. I begged him, basically, to do it !!” states Terry “I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else !!”

In “Diamond Blue” the two of them explore a more classic Melodic Rock sonic landscape which showcases Terry’s vocal abilities in its most natural environment. Still, when Mike Slamer’s around you can’t help but having some roaring guitars and riveting guitar solos. All this, combined with a brilliant songwriting, builds up a fabulous release which is already very much talked and anticipated by the legions of Melodic Rock fans around the world. “Diamond Blue” also includes a song “Jessie’s Gone” written by Terry with Strangeways’ guitar player Ian Stewart.

“This record” says Terry, “is the end result of years of very hard, fun work. It is the solo CD that I’ve always wanted to make, but never thought I could make. Mike pushed me to be better as a singer, songwriter and musician, and I believe the results show that. It is very representative of where I’m at as an artist now and I’m particularly happy that I could involve a lot of friends in the recording process”.

Terry Brock’s musical career started as a background vocalist on Kansas album “Drastic Measures” in 1983. On that session he met Neil Kernon (the producer of the record) who subsequently turned out to be very important in Terry’s career. He also toured with Kansas in support of that album, playing guitar and doing background vocals. Before joining the legendary british Melodic Rock outfit Strangeways, Terry toured extensively with the Steve Morse Band, playing guitar and singing. Strangeways, of course, were Terry’s best known experience in the music business. With them he recorded two albums on BMG / RCA: “Native Sons” and “Walk In the Fire“.

With Strangeways he toured extensively around the whole of Europe garnering the band a reputation as one of the best UK based AOR bands ever and for himself the mantle of being the real heir to Steve Perry’s (of Journey) throne. After he left Strangeways he moved to New York working mainly with famed producer Neil Kernon, who hired him to sing background vocals on albums by bands such as Aviator, Heaven’s Edge, Valentine, Britny Fox and Michael Bolton. After a few years spent in Nashville, he came back on the scene taking part in the Melodic Rock supergroup The Sign and later with Seventh Key (both featuring Kansas bassist/singer Billy Greer) and Slamer. He recently joined Giant as replacement for Dann Huff on vocals on the acclaimed “Promise Land” album and he is currently working on the recording of the anticipated Strangeways reunion cd scheduled for a fall release on Frontiers.

“Diamond Blue” final tracklisting includes:

Diamond Blue; It’s You; Jessie’s Gone; No More Mr. Nice Guy; The Rain; Broken; Face in the Crowd; Why; Too Young; Soldier Falls; Face The Night.

The songs “Diamond Blue” and “Jessie’s Gone” can exclusively be listened in full in streaming on the Frontiers Web radio from June 13th. Tune in at: www.frontiers.it/webradio

0 VANDEN PLAS – New CD Coming In June, Audio Samples Available!

Frontiers Records to release Germany’s Prog Metal finest VANDEN PLAS highly anticipated new concept album

The Seraphic Clockwork” in the shops on

June 4th in Europe and June 22nd in the U.S.A.

A good four years after Vanden Plas last critically acclaimed studio recording, “Christ O” hit the charts, Germany’s finest Prog Metal act is set to release its brand new album: “The Seraphic Clockwork”, on June 4th, in Europe and June 22nd in the USA.

Highly anticipated by fans and critics alike, “The Seraphic Clockwork” is a fascinating concept album, which not only shows the quintet’s exceptional technical skills, but also highlights their impressive development as songwriters. The new album sounds more multi-layered, progressive and metal-oriented than any previous Vanden Plas release. “I think that my penchant for music of the tougher persuasion shines through more than ever before on this album,” comments guitarist Stephan Lill, who – together with keyboardist Günter Werno and vocalist Andy Kuntz – make up the group’s creative triumvirate. He adds: “Hard riffs, elaborate keyboard and orchestral arrangements plus catchy hooklines come together in a perfect symbiosis which marks Vanden Plas’ own style. I feel that we were much more adventurous on with The Seraphic Clockwork than ever before.”

A perfect example which substantiates this statement, is the 13-minute track ‘On My Way To Jerusalem’, a little masterpiece within a homogeneous, self-contained album. The song takes the listener on a haunting, adventurous journey which comes full circle musically towards its end. From soaring piano sounds through hard riffs and versatile arrangements to atmospheric parts, the whole range of expressive forms which the Progressive Metal genre has to offer are present. On the other hand, ‘Heal The World’ with its melodic intro, subsequent heavy riff and catchy chorus, reveals the band’s affinity to theatre music and all its complexity, and is classic Vanden Plas.

The band’s fascination with classical history has left its mark on “The Seraphic Clockwork” particularly in terms of lyrics: the dramatic science fiction story of the concept album was penned by vocalist Andy Kuntz and chronicles a journey in place and time from 16th century Rome to Jerusalem in the year 33 A.D. The protagonist, after an apocalyptic vision, has come under the spell of an Old Testament prophecy and must travel back through the centuries to face his God-given destiny. “It’s about being unable to escape fate”, explains Kuntz, a master at making complex subject matter both fascinating and accessible to contemporary audiences. “Working for the theatre has definitely influenced the story’s depth. When you realize or reproduce your own projects on a stage, you learn a lot about dramaturgy.”

“The Seraphic Clockwork” was exclusively presented to the journalists in a press showcase held in Koln, Germany on April 9th. Some of the reactions to the preview include:

“Great comeback of Germany’s leading Prog Metal band!”

Mike Borrink – Rock Hard Germany

“Those who have been concerned that Vanden Plas might have lost their riff power over the last few years don’t have to worry anymore: their new album „The Seraphic Clockwork“ is a perfect example for a well-balanced mixture of intelligent prog tunes, heavy riffing and the uncompromising love for hard music.”

Thorsten Zahn – Classic Rock Mag Germany

“They’ve made us wait but one of the best and most respected Progressive Metal bands are back with the heaviest, most epic and diverse album of their career to date. Awesome stuff.”

Matthew Adrian Spall – Powerplay , UK

“The Seraphic Clockwork” is unbelievable, fantastic, great music with a great story. Vanden Plas are the Prog Metal kings.”

Marco Magin – Breakout, Germany

“Intense, melodic and challenging at the same time, this new  offering by Vanden Plas has what it takes to please the most demanding Progressive Metal fans.”

Morgan Rivalin – Rock Hard France

The musical and lyrical complexity of “The Seraphic Clockwork” is certainly inspiring. Vanden Plas have proved again that they are the most imaginative and diverse of German Prog Metal bands and justly enjoy the highest international acclaim. It can only be a matter of time before this concept album also makes it onto the stage.

“The Seraphic Clockwork” includes the following tracks:

Frequency; Holes In The Sky; Scar of an Angel; Sound of Blood; The Final Murder; Quicksilver; Rush of Silence; On My Way to Jerusalem.

  • · Hard Rock Music

Frontiers Records to release AURAS anticipated debut album “New Generation” on March 19th in Europe and April 6th in the USA.

January 2010 – Hailing from Brazil, Auras is one of the most exciting new acts to hit the AOR-rock scene in the past few years and with the release of their debut album New Generation they are ready to prove the world that acts such as Journey, The Storm, Toto and Survivor have found a credible heir from South America!

Auras was formed in the beginning of 2007 by singer Gui Oliver and guitarist Ferpa Lacerda. Tired of playing in cover bands and feeling they were musically mature enough, both musicians decided to write some new music.

The first song coming out of this collaboration Hungry Hearts was sent out to several producers and musicians around the world, gathering some very warm response. Gui and Ferpa therefore kept on writing more material until their songs landed on Frontiers Records desk who some immediately some concrete interest, making Auras the first band from South America to sign with the label.

New Generation is the result of years of hard work and faith in our music, explains Gui Oliver. It sounds corny, but it’s really a dream that came true especially for a Brazilian band where this kind of music is not very popular. We really have to thank Frontiers for their trust and support.

Being a real band, not just a studio project, Auras had their live debut supporting their idols Jeff Scott Soto and Jimi Jamison in Curitiba, Auras hometown. Hearing the band play, Jamison mentioned that Auras songs took him back to the eighties and reminded him of the great bands of that period.

Artists like Toto, Journey and Survivor, tells Gui, are known worldwide and in Brazil it’s not different: their classic hits are still on the radio. Their music touched me in different ways. It was not only the beautiful and amazing melodies, but their songs also had great lyrics. Ferpa also grew up in a very musical family and this kind of music was always part of his life. Definitely melodic rock and AOR in Brazil is not for the masses but we have a faithful and loyal audience. We received lots of emails of people saying how proud they were of us about the album.

During the recording process the great jazz drummer Edu Sallum, who had already played with Rafael Moreira (Pink, Christina Aguilera, Rockstar INXS, Paul Stanley), joined the band, and the local studio musicians Matheus Brandon and Hemerson Vieira helped to complete New Generation. The album was finally mixed and mastered to sonic perfection by Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Sunstorm, Place Vendome, Khymera etc.).

Love, dreams, faith and hope are what Auras music is all about.

New Generation includes the following tracks:

Beauty Of Dreams (previewed on Rock The Bones vol. 7 compilation); Forgive and Forget; Never Give Up; In My Arms; Reach Out; New Generation; Forever In Your Eyes; Hungry Hearts; That’s the Way Love Goes; Keep On Loving You; Out of Love; Love To Survive. Includes Beauty of Dreams videoclip.

KEEL has signed with FRONTIERS RECORDS, one of the elite labels in Hard Rock and Melodic Rock, and will release two albums simultaneously in January 2010.

The band announced their reunion last November, and enjoyed appearances at major summer festivals such as Rocklahoma, South Texas Rock Festival, the Mid West Rock Fest, and the M3 Rock Festival in Maryland, in addition to sold-out headline shows in Hollywood and Phoenix. The energy and excitement of these tour dates spawned a surge of creative activity, resulting in an album’s worth of new material. This album, entitled “Streets Of Rock & Roll,” is the first new KEEL recording in twenty years.

KEEL promises this new release will continue in the tradition of their previous efforts – fist-pumping crowd-pleasing hard rock anthems fueled by screaming vocals and driven by powerful guitars. The project is being produced by Pat Regan (Deep Purple, KISS, Warrant etc.) and will feature guest appearances by Jaime St. James (Black N Blue) and Paul Shortino (Rough Cutt, Quiet Riot) who is also producing and recording Ron’s lead vocal sessions.

Frontiers Records will also release “The Right To Rock: 25th Anniversary Edition,” exactly 25 years after this classic album first hit the streets. This official reissue will be digitally remastered and will feature a brand new recorded version of the title track, which is even louder and heavier than the original. “The Right To Rock (Reunion Version)” features an all-star vocal chorus, and the band is also inviting fans everywhere to sing on the track: you can download a sample chorus on KEEL’s MySpace, add your voice to the mix, send the band an MP3, and these will be mixed in to the actual recording of this timeless classic. For details, visit the KEEL web site www.keelband.com and the KEEL MySpace www.myspace.com/keelband.

The band wishes to express their thanks to everyone at Frontiers Records for their support and belief in KEEL. Frontiers is firmly established at the forefront in this genre, having successfully released projects from Journey, Styx, Tesla, Dokken, Winger and many more, and KEEL is proud to be a part of their catalog and roster.

OUTLOUD coverIn all honesty my draw to Outloud! was lead singer Chandler Mogel, I was blown away by his work on the last Talon album “Fallen Angels”. I wasn’t familiar with the other members of Outloud! at all, but after hearing their debut that is all going to change very fast.

In addition to Mogel, Outloud! is made up of  Tony Kash (Guitar), Bob Katsionis (Guitar/Keyboards), Jason Mercury (Bass), and Mark Cross (Drums). This international line-up is ready to take the world by storm with their 80’s inspired brand of melodic rock. The band’s sound has been called a conglomeration of Riot, Skid Row, TNT, and a bit of Foreigner thrown in and I couldn’t agree more.

“What I Need” is a straight up in your face rocker that kicks the album off that has everyone going at a 100 mph with the duo of Kash and Katsionis stealing the show. “We Run” leans more to the melodic side of the spectrum I expected and it turns out to be one of the catchiest songs on the album with Mercury laying down some great bass lines and Mogel sounds great as always. Katsionis’s keyboard skills are on show for the melodic rocker “Tonight” another great sing along chorus and a great groove. “Search For Truth” gets my vote as the best track on this album with an outstanding performance by all five members of Outloud! but Mark Cross is awesome on this track. “This Broken Heart” is a nice mid tempo ballad that starts out acoustic before kicking in at the chorus.

With the exception of the ballad “Lovesigh” the rest of “Outloud!” is filled with straight up rockers guaranteed to please the masses.

Check out the band’s myspace at www.myspace.com/outloudtheband. Outloud! are definitely a band worth checking out and keeping an eye on for 2009 and beyond, you will not be disappointed.

Frontiers Records is truly excited to announce the European release of PLACES OF POWER debut album “Now Is The Hour” on January 23rd 2009.

placesofpowerWhile the Places of Power monicker is brand new, this name hides the brand new collaboration between two superb artists who are no strangers to the concept of hard work and quality music. Bruce Turgon and Philip Bardowell can indeed boast in their pedigree collaborations with such bands and artists as FOREIGNER, SHADOW KING, LOU GRAMM, UNRULY CHILD, MAGDALEN and Peter Criss of KISS.

Both have also released highly regarded solo albums for Frontiers Records during 2005 which gathered excellent reviews and great interests from press and fans alike. “Our collaboration started at the urging of Serafino Perugino, who felt that Bruce and I would work well together”, states singer Philip Bardowell. “I guess Serafino would be the “spark”! The flame was then ignited when Bruce and I started throwing around tunes and discovered that we shared a passion for strong melodies and hooks”. Bruce Turgon also recalls: “Philip came back with powerful ideas and performances that made me feel that we were on the same page – I knew that this would be a strong collaboration from the start. I tend to “live” a record and dwell on every aspect of it, so it was very important to me that we share a common vision, and we have”.

“Now Is The Hour” production process was then started and took some good timeplacesofpowerband to be completed, due to the enthusiasm and care that both Philip and Bruce gave to the album writing and recording. “I love the integrity of this record” continues Bruce, “there are no “and also” tracks – every song is a work of substance”, with Bardowell adding that every track “is also crafted in the “pop” sense and the songs are catchy and accessible”.

With the help of Scott McKinstry who contributed lead guitars to the album, Philip took care of all lead vocals while Bruce played all the backing tracks. The tapes were then sent to famed studio guru Dennis Ward (of Pink Cream 69 and producer of Place Vendome, Sunstorm, Bob Catley, Angra, Krokus etc.) in Germany who mixed the album in the summer 2008.

“We were able to deliver a product that we’re both very proud of” adds Bardowell, while Turgon  concludes “this is an album that deserves to be played live. We’ve created a strong foundation for Places Of Power to build upon and everything is possible…”

The result is a jewel, one of those rare releases that gets your attention from the very first to the last second – splendid performances, killer production and marvellous songs: that’s what “Now Is The Hour” is all about !

“Now Is The Hour” final tracklisting includes:

In Your Wildest Dreams; Make Me Believe; Desires of Our Hearts; One Day; I Live For You; Secrets; The Passage; Always; Hard To Love You; Light of My World; Path of Least Resistance; Places of Power – In Your Wildest Dream (bonus videoclip).

Frontiers Records is pleased to launch the release of ECLIPTICA debut album “Impetus” on December 5th 2008.

ECLIPTICA is a Heavy Metal band from Austria founded by guitarist Markus Winkler in 2005. He put together a line-up with six members in total, together with the other guitar player Bernie Scholz, Thomas Tieber and Elisabeth Fangmeyer on vocals, plus Florian Thür and Roman Klomfar on bass and drums respectively. ECLIPTICA soon started to write songs and in April 2007 released their critically acclaimed first Ep “The Awakening” in front of 500 people at Planet Music Vienna. During the promotion for the Ep, ECLIPTICA won the “Metal Battle Austria 2007” contest and played a live set at the world famous “WACKEN OPEN AIR” in Germany, not forgetting that they have also landed a support slot for the major US-Prog Metal gods SYMPHONY X.

In January 2008 the band entered the Hinterhof Studios in Vienna to record their first full length album “Impetus”, which is now being released on the international markets by Frontiers Records. The word “Impetus” stands for Power, Speed and Energy just like the sound of these 10 songs delivered on the album. Straight through without orchestral arrangements ECLIPTICA reduced their songs to a rough and powerful but still melodic feel.

The music of ECLIPTICA is defined in their musical roots: blending the traditional Heavy Metal of the 80’s together with intricate rhythms and Progressive elements from all decades. The songwriting however is very personal and original, thus making them instantly recognizable thanks to the use of two vocalists and to the classical music elements that are incorporated in their songs. Theatrical elements and an eclectic songwriting complete the picture of a very gifted band that is now ready to be unleashed.

“Impetus” tracklisting includes: Impetus, My Paradise, Land of Silence, Carry On, Twilight Hall, Turn Away, Old Man’s Memories, Watching You, Jester in the Ballroom, Black Swan.

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of CHINA BLUE debut album “Twilight of Destiny” on December 5th 2008.

The roots of CHINA BLUE date back to the late 80’s when keyboardist Eric Ragno (Takara, Ted Poley, Steve Grimmett, American Angel, Danny Vaughn, Hugo/Ramos and countless others) started a new band called China Blue with his best friend Tom Gasbarro. Eric wrote the music and Tom was the lyrical engineer. The songs written at the time used to explore those avenues of defining moments… decisions that were made in the “Twilight of Destiny”. According to Eric, “It is where you either won the girl or lost it all in a sea of regret; the pivotal epiphany that the thing you love most just got away. We did things on our own terms and even after Tom moved on, I swore I would pick it up again one day”.

Eric’s career gained momentum with bands like Vox Tempus and moved in a different directions until he played some of the old China Blue demos to his friend Michael Riesenbeck. Michael encouraged Eric to take the best out of the songs and add new material to round out a complete album. He and Eric co-wrote some great songs together and he pushed Eric to start the job to put together a recording line-up for the album and just go out and do his own thing.

On vocals, Eric recruited none other than the new TNT and former Shy singer Tony Mills, a legendary voice that added a special touch to the recording. As soon as Riesenbeck stepped out of the project, Josh Ramos (of The Storm, Hardline) immediately took the chance to be part of the project. Eric and Josh had already worked on a number of projects together (Ramos/Hugo, Los Angeles) and the pair spent several weeks together writing in San Francisco. Zane Petersen (Malicious, Conditioned Response) was a long-time friend of Eric’s who helped him in various career circumstances and was the perfect choice with his powerful drumming. The final piece of the puzzle was Doug Odell on bass, he came about at the MelodicRock.com festival in Chicago during 2008 when he and Eric played in front of an amazing crowd with the “Melodic Rock All Stars” band.

Additional musicians Ronny Smith on guitar, Pete Newdeck on drums and Fabrizio Grossi on bass appear as special guests, offering their incredible performances on this fabulous debut album.

“Twilight of Destiny” was produced by Eric, mixed by JK Northrup and took shape as a true Melodic Rock masterpiece during 2008, under the direction of executive producer and manager Ron Vining. This record is an absolute delight for all fans of classic Shy, Journey and The Storm music with a slight Progressive edge. The classic 80’s album artwork was designed by Wavid.

“This China Blue record has truly been a journey for all involved” concludes Eric Ragno. “We hope the music touches you in some way as it helped us explore who we are, when we faced those defining moments in life at the Twilight of Destiny”.

Tracklisting: What Do You Need But Love; I Feel Like Dying; Changing Ways; So Wrong; Don’t Be A Stranger; Crimes (of Passion); Passions; Movin’ On; Twilight of Destiny; Lost; Take Me As I Am; A Last Goodbye.

5 New Honeymoon Suite Clifton Hill Audio Samples!

  • August 4, 2008

  • · Entertainment · Hard Rock Music · Hard Rock News · Music

Frontiers Records is excited to announce the European release of the brand new HONEYMOON SUITE album entitled “Clifton Hill” on October 10th 2008.

Formed in 1982 by Derry Grehan (guitar) and Johnnie Dee (vocals and guitar), HONEYMOON SUITE have achieved well over a million album sales worldwide earning them multiple gold and platinum awards, thus becoming one of the most successful Canadian acts on the international markets. Albums such as the self-titled debut, “The Big Prize”, “Racing After Midnight” and “Monsters Under the Bed” are considered by press and fans like real classics of the Melodic Rock genre.

During the last 20 years the band had been touring with the likes of Heart, Journey, ZZ Top, Bryan Adams, Saga, Status Quo, Aerosmith, Jethro Tull, Night Ranger and other successful classic Rock and Hard Rock bands.

Honeymoon Suite’s original line-up reformed in 2007 and after a very successful year of touring, is now on the road again for the summer of 2008. The band will continue their non-stop touring schedule with summer shows alongside Loverboy, April Wine, Kim Mitchell and other classic rock acts.

In the meanwhile Derry and Johnnie started working on a new album together with the collaboration of original debut album producer Tom Treumuth and deciding to call it “Clifton Hill,” after the Niagara Falls, ON location where the band was formed 25 years ago. Derry Grehan explains “Clifton Hill is a famous landmark right dead centre of all the tourist activity in Niagara Falls. The picture on the album cover was taken there back around the mid-eighties when it was still a kind of cheesy tourist trap, and we wanted to show that side of it. We of course see the whole thing differently than the millions of tourists who visit there every year. The picture is also cool because we shot our “Burning in Love” video there in the early 80’s, and that’s just what it looked like then”.

On the music included on the new album, Derry has to say that “Every time Johnnie and I sit down to write a record, the sound does progress because we have lived a lot more of life than when we were all kids. We never say “the new songs are going to sound like this or that”, but this whole new album has really been somewhat of a return musically to the sound that we had in the 80’s. It’s produced by Tom Treumuth who did our first record, so it seems we’ve all come full circle, hence the title “Clifton Hill”.

The result is a incredibly mature and inspired album with all the trademarks of the classic Honeymoon Suite sound, chock full or great rock songs and fascinating mid tempos and ballads.

Final tracklisting of “Clifton Hill” includes:

She Ain’t Alright; Tired O’ Waitin’ On You; Riffola; Ordinary; The House; Why Should I?; Down 2 Bizness; Sunday Morning; That’s All U Got; Restless; Separate Lives.

An amazing return of a truly great band, don’t miss it !

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of FROM THE INSIDE second album “Visions” on August 1st 2008.

FROM THE INSIDE is the project that marked the start of the cooperation between legendary Melodic Rock singer Danny Vaughn (Tyketto) and Frontiers Records. Released in September 2004, the first album was welcomed with great acclaim from both fans and press and it finally brought Danny back to the classic Melodic Rock sounds. Together with producer Fabrizio Grossi (Glenn Hughes, Starbreaker) he was able to put together a finely crafted and top quality contemporary Melodic Rock release.

In the winter of 2007, Danny and Frontiers Records President Serafino Perugino once again discussed the production of a true Melodic Rock record in the vein of classic Journey and Tyketto that could follow in the footsteps of the successful debut – From The Inside. Fab Grossi was again recruited and the two of them worked on the songwriting, along with keyboardist Eric Ragno.

Danny says: “I always like the idea of a challenge that steps outside of what I normally do. I have to approach the writing and performing of the songs from a different angle than I would with my own stuff. Fabrizio and I set out some guide lines of the type of songs that we wanted to do and we kept coming back to the idea of doing an album with a real Journey vibe. How challenging is that? Having just come off tour with Journey themselves, I was in the right frame of mind to do that and I think the 6 songs that he, Eric and I wrote together really show what we’re capable of. “From The Inside” was a very successful album with my fans, so I was very interested in trying another one. Let’s see what they think!”

The songs were later complemented by additional killer tracks penned especially for the album by Tom and James Martin (of Khymera, Ted Poley and House of Lords fame), with “Love Is No Stranger” by Joey Carbone (Joseph Williams) later added to the album, thus completing the tracklisting.

Recording sessions finished in the winter of 2008 with Jimi Bell (House of Lords), handling guitar duties and Peter Lobo on drums. Tommy Hansen (TNT, Jorn, Pretty Maids, Helloween etc) took care of the mix in April.

The result is a truly amazing Melodic Rock album with a harder edge: a flawless collection of extremely well-written songs, with tight musicianship and the vocals… well, this just may be Danny Vaughn’s greatest vocal performance to date. “Visions” will absolutely take your breath away. A must have release for 2008!

Final tracklisting includes:

Light Years (also available on ROCK THE BONES vol. 6 sampler cd and specially available for prelistening in streaming on www.myspace.com/frontiersrecords page for the week); Making Waves; If It’s Not Love; Listen To Your Heart; Love Is No Stranger; 21st Century; Days Of Hunger; Visions; Moment To Moment; One More Night In Heaven; Push Me Off; Telemetry.

0 The Return of Silent Rage

Frontiers Records is excited to announce the release of SILENT RAGE’s highly anticipated fourth studio album “Four Letter Word” on July 4th 2008.

Silent Rage is known for their multi-captivating vocals, the unmistakeable blend of Melodic and Hard Rock and signature songwriting reminiscing of the glorydays of 80’s Arena Hard Rock. “I think our sound can be described as Classic Arena Style Hard Rock” says singer and guitarist Jesse Damon “that’s what we’re considered in Europe!” “

“Four Letter Word” is another fine example in the tradition of the band’s classic production. “We had a great time staying within the natural progression of our 1989 release “Don’t Touch Me There” & mixing in the sounds of modern hard rock” continues Damon, “all of the tracks, whether lighthearted or serious in nature, have deep meaning to the band members. There’s no hidden agenda, just melodic-hard-rock with contemporary production, written from the heart & soul of four veteran rockers”.

Silent Rage’s new album was produced by former Guns’N Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke who is also credited on the album for his contribution on guitar, keyboards and percussion. “Gilby is a long time friend of the band”, tells Jesse “We were first acquainted with him back in the 1980’s when he was playing with his band, “Candy”. Both bands were performing on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. Then, Silent Rage’s first tour manager (Bill Greer) went on to work with Gilby in Guns’N Roses and we got to see his rise to fame. Our association with him became very close when our bassist, EJ Curse began riding motorcycles with him on a regular basis. EJ went on to play bass for a few of Gilby’s concerts. SR heard the CD of “The Bronx” that Clarke produced & loved it. It was great to work with someone that we had such a long kinship with”.

Another very special guest is RATT’s Bobby Blotzer on drums and former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick, who plays a guest solo on “Man or Machine”. “We met Bruce while working with Gene Simmons on the “Don’t Touch Me There” CD” explains Damon, “Bruce co-wrote one of the songs for that disc. Kulick has always been in our circle of friends & a supporter of Silent Rage. We always admired his guitar virtuosity plus, he’s a great guy. Knowing he lived nearby our recording studio, we had to ask him to do a jam on the CD. We thought it fitting to have him perform on “Man or Machine” since originally, that song was an idea that Gene Simmons & I started a few years back”.

Silent Rage is very proud of the new CD “Four Letter Word” and look forward to present it live in Europe during the summer. A string of concerts has been already set in Europe and more are going to be announced shortly.

“Four Letter Word” tracklisting includes:You Could Be The One; Four Letter Word; Man Or Machine; Feel My Love; Close Your Eyes; Sinister Man; Hard Habit To Break; Nobody Knows (Ballad of Andy & Glory); Bona Fide; I’m Not Lonely; Trouble.

Get ready for a raw, rock explosion for melodic hard rock fans, new and old, on July 4th!

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce all the details for the release of MICHAEL KISKE new album entitled “Past In Different Ways” on May 9th 2008.

Michael Kiske This much talked about album includes the reworking in a new fully acoustic and stripped back mood of some of Helloween’s classics that Kiske wrote and recorded in his early days with the legendary German Heavy Metal band. “When Serafino Perugino brought up the idea to do this record” says Michael, “my first reaction was: “No way! I don’t want to be dealing with my past all the time anymore!”. But after a few days my thinking changed and I thought:
maybe it’s not such a bad idea at all? Because on one hand it shows that I don’t reject my past just because I’m a different person today and on the other hand it can maybe give people who were part of that past a different view at those songs. It’s my music, I can still identify myself with its spirit, so why should I not do this?”.

Working in a creatively free environment helped Michael to look at his past with different eyes and brought the idea of working again on the songs that Michael wrote for Helloween during his years with the band. The result is “Past In a Different Ways“, a record which includes brand new recordings of Kiske’s songs taken off the two “Keeper” albums, “Chameleon” and “Pink Bubbles Go Ape“, plus the brand new song “Different Ways“.

Kiske Past In Different Ways

The unconventional arrangements of many of the tracks will surprise and delight many of his fans and more surprising is to see how well these songs sound with a basic acoustic arrangement, without the “useless weight” and with new keys. “Songs like ‘In The Night‘ or ‘When The Sinner‘ which where never favourites of mine are much cooler and much more convincing now for my ears”, says Michael.

The album was recorded and mixed in Hamburg under Michael Kiske’s direction and features long time collaborators such as Sandro Giampietro on guitar, Fontaine Burnett on bass and Karsten Nagel on drums.

Kiske concludes: “It was not always easy for me emotionally to deal with this material. Music somehow seems to preserve emotional memories and I connect big human disappointments with the last years of that time. There’s
also something very unsatisfying about re-recording old songs; it’s always MUCH better to write new stuff, but I wanted to make those songs mine again. And in spite of the fact that I strongly felt for the last couple of years that I rather have to build myself a new base of friends, it’s always good to make peace with your past”.

Final tracklisting of “Past In Different Ways” include the following tracks:
You Always Walk Alone
We Got The Right
I Believe
Longing; Your Turn; Kids Of The Century; In The Night; Going Home;

A Little Time
When The Sinner; Different Ways (brand new song).

“Past In Different Ways” will see the light in Europe on May 9th 2008 on Frontiers Records.

GlennHughes2008 Frontiers Records is pleased to present all the details about the release of the highly anticipated GLENN HUGHES new album entitled “First Underground Nuclear Kitchen (F.U.N.K.)” on May 11th 2008.

Produced by Glenn in Los Angeles, after countless hours spent writing in his home studio, “F.U.N.K.” is another magnificent statement from the “Voice of Rock”. “It is a roots album, it is a true account of my musical heritage but also fearless and multi-dimensional”. Once again Glenn has reinvented himself and his art, being able to offer a new album which is truly emotional and picturing his own current way to speak the language of music.

“The beauty of makin’ music, for me”, explains the former Deep Purple and singer and bassist, “is to have a vast blank canvas. To completely open myself up to the universe and the spirits, that these days, live with me day and night. I am no longer in fear of the dark, or what lurks behind door number 13. The songs on my new album were written in, and around my Los Angeles home, sometimes in semi-consciousness… sometimes, in a dreamstate, sometimes fully alert, as I was in full jog down by the harbour… these new songs are a true vindication. And realization, of the gift of a serene life, one day at a time”.

The result is a brilliant balance of the diverse influences that have always been present in Glenn’s music, but with an incredible and very addictive mood that helps creating a feeling of joy and true enjoyment all over the album. “I believe that the hard work has been worth waitin’ 4, this is 4 all my fans, and beyond: a deep Musical Statement”, concludes Glenn.

Once again all drums on the record were played by none other than the great Chad Smith of the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, while Luis Maldonado took care of the majority of the guitars (JJ Marsh and George Nastos only appear on 2 songs each) and Anders Olinder is on keyboards (with Ed Roth guesting on 3 songs).

LEVERAGE has finished the production of the yet untitled second album!

Leverage

“We’re very proud of the new album” states band’s guitarist and main composer Tuomas Heikkinen. “We’ve grown tighter as a band, we’re more in touch with what Leverage really is for us, and we sure pushed ourselves writing, rehearsing and recording. The album has 10 melodic songs that include the heaviest, most intense and on the other hand the most intimate moments we’ve been able to capture so far. We feel ‘Tides’ was the best thing we could come up with at that time, we believe the second album came out as good as we hoped it would now”.

Some of the songs included on the album include “Stormchild”, “Sentenced” (chosen as the lead radio track for the album, soon to be made available for pre-listening on the Frontiers Records my space site), “Run Down”, “Heart of Darkness”, “Run Down” and “Shadow In The Rain”.
