1 JSS- BEAUTIFUL MESS AVAILABLE ON iTunes & CD Baby NOW!!!
JSS – ‘Beautiful Mess’ has hit the digital market ahead of schedule.
With the huge demand escalating since the availability of the free download ‘Testify’ and Jeff’s imminent exposure during the new TSO tour. Sewtoe Productions are proud to announce the advance launch of Jeff’s new solo album. The very nature and speed of today’s digital music download market has meant that ‘Beautiful Mess’ can come to fruition three weeks ahead of its proposed release! Why wait another month! JSS is ready, so let’s move it people!
JSS – Beautiful Mess
The 4th solo album from Jeff Scott Soto (who has sung for such bands as Journey & Talisman) but the 1st under the new moniker, JSS, this album is a departure from the classic rock sound Jeff has been known for.
Who is JSS?
He is an artiste who has graced many stages, a hybrid redolent of soul, pop, rock, blues and R&B influenced by luminaries such as Queen, Prince and Sam Cooke and a man who has proved, across the years that he can deliver all these genre well.
For many years JSS has been known to all and sundry as ‘Jeff Scott Soto’. In a career spanning more than twenty years, beginning as the vocalist for guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen, leading to frontman for many bands including; ‘Talisman’, the legendary ‘Journey’, ‘Soul Sirkus’ and most recently ‘Trans Siberian Orchestra’. In 2002 he set out on the long, arduous road of a solo career with the acclaimed ‘Prism’ and has released two solo albums since then, ‘Lost In The Translation’ and now ‘Beautiful Mess’. He came to the notice of many in the industry when he provided the lead vocals for the main character / singer of ‘Steel Dragon’ in the Mark Wahlberg motion picture ‘Rock Star. With an audience that comes from Europe, Asia, South America and North America, his appeal is about to be widened further with this new release.
In ‘Beautiful Mess’, for which Jeff Scott Soto has become ‘JSS’ he blends the influences he grew up loving into one ‘beautiful mess’ indeed. From the rocking soul of “21st Century” to the sultry “Gin & Tonic Sky” to the greasy funk of “Bring It Home” to the Beatle-esque “Kick It”, JSS leaves no stone unturned in this release, pleasing fans old & new alike. ‘Beautiful Mess’, which is co-written & produced by the savvy Swedish artist/producer/writer Paulo Mendonça, is a turning point for JSS who recently dubbed by many as the ‘new hardest working man in show business’ & this new album will find him touring the globe once again through 2009.
If you like the bite of Lenny Kravitz, the sultriness of Seal, the smoothness of Sam Cooke & the rawness of the nostalgic 70’s rock ‘n soul all mixed with a contemporary touch of today’s hit music, this is one not to be missed!!

2 Joan Jett Makes History
Legendary Rock and Roll Icon Joan Jett Makes History as First Female with a Gibson Electric Signature Model
Gibson Guitar, the world’s premier musical instrument manufacturer and leader in music technology, has announced the launch of the Joan Jett Signature Melody Maker guitar, designed and produced in close cooperation with the rock legend herself. The model pays tribute to the iconic Melody Maker Jett played on hits like “I Love Rock N’ Roll,” and “Do You Wanna Touch Me” and, true to her trailblazer status, marks the first Gibson electric signature model designed in conjunction with a female artist.
“This is my guitar. Gibson was successfully able to replicate my custom velvet hammer pick ups which have not been available for twenty years. It’s perfect for gigs as well as recording,” says Jett. “For those of you performing live, you may understand the value of being able to shave off those split seconds between playing and interacting with the audience, especially if you use your hands to communicate. I can move between the killswitch, which mutes the guitar, and playing, and then back again without a lot of in-between motion. With its no frills basic set up, it’s a perfect guitar for either an experienced player or someone just learning.”
Gibson’s Joan Jett Signature Melody Maker features a lightweight, slab mahogany body with a White Worn finish. Handcrafted to the same specs as Jett’s original guitar, the slim-tapered neck profile is similar to the Les Pauls and SGs of the mid to late 1960s. The fingerboard of the Melody Maker is constructed from the highest grade of ebony on the planet, Jett’s personal choice for her signature Melody Maker, and the headstock features Gibson’s classic, silk-screened logo.
The classic, snarling growl of Jett’s original Melody Maker is accurately captured by a single Gibson Burstbucker 3 zebra humbucker, slightly overwound with asymmetrical coils, unpolished Alnico II magnets, and all the punch and power of an original Gibson PAF pickup. The tuners are mini-Grovers with authentic “witch hat” knobs, exactly as they are on Jett’s guitar. A “kill” switch replaces the normal Gibson toggle switch, and the body is outfitted with a period-correct black vinyl pickguard. The guitar also includes such typical Melody Maker features as 24-inch scale length and the standard Gibson Tune-o-matic and stopbar tailpiece.
“Joan Jett is a true icon of rock and roll. Since the beginning she has been a groundbreaking artist and a trailblazer for women in the genre,” said Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar. “Gibson is proud to be working with such an influential guitar player.”
Joan Jett has been a force in the world of music since the age of 15 when she co-founded the all-girl punk quintet The Runaways. After being rejected by multiple labels for a record contract after the Runaways, she formed Blackheart Records, making her the first major female artist to own her own record label. With hits such as “I Love Rock n’ Roll,” “Bad Reputation” and “Crimson and Clover,” she has scored nine Top 40 hits and eight Platinum and Gold albums. Joan Jett and The Blackhearts continue to win over fans both new and old with their live shows, including a main stage headliner spot on the 2006 Vans Warped Tour. Jett also currently hosts her own show, “Joan Jett’s Radio Revolution,” on Sirius’ Faction (Channel 28).

Our new album, “Indestructible”, will debut at number 1 on the Billboard charts this week with over 250,000 units sold and its all because of you. Thank you for being the best fan base in the world and for helping to put rock music back at the top of the charts. Your voices have been heard!
See you on tour this summer.
WE ALL ARE DISTURBED!
HRH Comment: For any Hard Rock band to debut at # 1 in 2008, is quite a feat. For a Hard Rock band to sell a quarter of a million CD’s in their first week alone, is practically impossible in today’s society. For Disturbed, this is their third #1 Album!
This is quite an accomplishment for Disturbed!

5 George Lynch on Eddie Trunk Live
Did you hear the George Lynch interview on the Eddie Trunk Live show on XM41 last night.
George was pretty animated, and very honest with his answers with Eddie last night.
George mentioned that they tried to do the Dokken reunion this year, but it didn’t come together. He mentioned that he is still close to Jeff Pilson, and he doesn’t want to do a Dokken reunion without him. Lynch said that Pilson will be busy with Foreigner until at least 2010, so don’t expect a Dokken reunion before then. He also said that Mick Brown is up for it as well, when or if they decide to do it.
Eddie mentioned that Don was holding out for the kind of money for their reunion where they could rent separate buses for him and George Lynch.
George was pretty animated when he heard that. He said that the bus rentals cost so much money that the bus companies end up making all of the profit off of the tours. He thought it was nuts that with them all being in their fifties that they couldn’t get along. He said for that matter, they could just throw him in a trailer on the back of the bus, with a couple of solar panels, for him and his guitar. Throw him an occasional hamburger and he will be fine.
Eddie asked him what he thought about the new Dokken album, Lightning Strikes Again. George said he has listened to the clips of it, and it sounds good. He said that Don is trying to revisit the formula of music that Dokken was known for. He doesn’t want to play that style of music, and it frustrates his fans. He said that is what 50% of the fans want to hear and Don is making a bunch of people happy.
Lynch also mentioned that he is working on a distribution deal for his new CD with London LeGrand, Souls of We. He hopes to have it out for purchase later this summer. (You can buy it now through I-Tunes, and Amazon.com as downloads.) He also hopes to tour this fall with Souls of We.
The Lynch Mob tour is about to start up soon, and he seemed pretty excited about that. He said with the addition of Tommy Aldridge and Marco Mendoza, not too many people will be upset about Mick Brown and Anthony Esposito not playing with him and Oni Logan.
He also mentioned that a new Lynch Mob record is not out of the question, as he has received offers to do another record.
This interview will be available through I-Tunes for free soon. I highly recommend that you check it out. It was one of the better ones on Eddie Trunk Live.
1 Don’t Drop the Soap Weiland!
Stone Temple Pilots vocalist Scott Weiland officially started his prison sentence on Monday.
Weiland, 40, is expected to serve eight days for his second drunk driving conviction. He was arrested on November 11 for driving under the influence (DUI) and was sentenced on April 28.
Aside from imprisonment for eight days, he was also fined $2,000 and ordered to complete an alcohol education program. He is serving his time in the Los Angeles suburb of Van Nys.
The rocker recently reunited with STP after an acrimonious split with Velvet Revolver.
0 Preview Richie Kotzen’s Live in San Paolo
Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the European release of “Live In Sao Paulo“, Richie Kotzen’s first-ever live album on July 4th 2008. With much prompting from fans, Kotzen chose for the purpose a stellar performance from his South American tour in 2007.
“Live in Sao Paulo” is an absorbing collective blend of Kotzen’s songs throughout the years. His live performance reflects the guitar style’s that has defined his career as a virtuoso. Kotzen reveals to fans live his true diversity with the rhythmic labours of “A Love Divine” to the poignant ballad “Remember”. The performance continually travels between moments of classic-rock song “Shapes of Things”, to the uplifting original “Stand”.
Kotzen is influenced from such bands as Bad Company, Free, early Van Halen and Cream. They are the inspiration for his songs, but having deep Philly roots Kotzen tends to combine rock with the Motown influences he heard as a kid. “Much influence for my songs comes from the likes of the Spinners, O-Jays, and Curtis Mayfield”, explains Kotzen. “Growing up outside Philadelphia and listening to those old soul stations I ended up with that sound being a heavy influence in my writing even though the core of what I do is Rock”.
Kotzen burst onto the heavy metal scene as a teenager with a lightning-fast guitar techniques. With his talents, Kotzen has played with some of the best musicians; securing such major collaboration with the band Mr. Big and renowned jazz great Stanley Clarke as well as his own solo projects. “I have been lucky, in the sense, that I have been able to play with guys who I could learn from. The biggest musical lesson for me was playing in a band with Stanley Clarke and Lenny White. Obviously these guys are jazz musicians and I am not, but I learned so much from the time we recorded and toured together. My favourite rock bassist is Billy Sheehan and we were in Mr. Big together for 3 years which was awesome”.
“Live In Sao Paulo” tracklisting includes:
Socialite; High; Remember; Fooled Again; Faith; So Cold; A Love Divine; Shapes Of Things; Doin’ What The Devil Says To Do; I’m Losing You; Mother Head’s Family Reunion; Stand.

10 Richie Sambora on Rock of Love 3?!
Richie Sambora is set to replace Bret Michaels in the next season of TV dating show Rock of Love, according to reports.
Poison frontman Michaels recently wrapped season two when he chose aspiring actress Ambre Lake as the winner and his new girlfriend.
Despite the first season being exposed as a fraud–the winning contestant already had a boyfriend–Michaels and Lake insist this time it is for real, and they are handing the show over to another single star.
Bon Jovi guitarist Sambora, 48, has been single since his April 2007 divorce from actress Heather Locklear and a short-lived romance with Locklear’s former friend Denise Richards ended last year.
And TV bosses want to help him find love. A source tells OK! magazine, “He’s perfect for TV. If you thought Bret was must-see TV, you ain’t seen anything yet. Richie is going to be a train wreck looking for love.”

2 Judas Priest Nostradamus Details!
The following report is courtesy of Greg Prato from Billboard.com:
Over two years in the making, Judas Priest will finally unveil its 16th studio album, Nostradamus, June 17 via Epic in North America and a day earlier internationally.
A double-disc set that tells the story of the 16th century prophet, Michel de Nostredame (whose name is often ‘Latinized’ as Nostradamus), the release is Priest’s first-ever concept album, and was recorded throughout 2006 and 2007 at Old Smithy Studio in the UK.
“Making Nostradamus was a new experience for us in Judas Priest, insomuch as this was going to be a conceptual writing and recording event,” Priest singer Rob Halford tells Billboard.com. “His life is well-documented, so for us it was all about taking the significant episodes he went through, and then with the right emotion, create music and lyrics that would convey them.”
On the album, Halford, guitarists K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer Scott Travis spread their stylistic wings, experimenting with symphonic orchestration and choirs.
Three configurations of Nostradamus will be issued. The most common will be a regular jewel-cased double CD, but there will also be a “CD deluxe hardbound version,” which features a 48-page booklet, while a “super deluxe version” will include three vinyl records (in addition to the CD deluxe packaging, plus a poster).
While there have been some European dates announced in support of Nostradamus (the chief one being a performance as part of this year’s Download Festival in England, which also features KISS and MOTÖRHEAD, among others), there will soon be an announcement about Priest’s plans for a U.S. tour.
In the meantime, Halford dropped a hint as to what’s in store for the group’s later headline dates. “As we recorded and listened to the music, and much like a lot of Priest songs, you cannot help but see images in your mind. We constantly thought about special effects and visual elements that will connect musically that we want to use onstage when we will perform all of ‘Nostradamus’ live,” he says. “Again, like every song we compose, the transition from studio to concert is one we think about and make sure we can deliver the goods.”
Here is the track list for Nostradamus:
Dawn Of Creation – “Prophecy”
Awakening – “Revelations”
The Four Horsemen – “War”
Sands Of Time – “Pestilence And Plague”

Looking at the list of acts above, this lineup may not excite a lot of people, but I would still like to see it. I love Tracii Guns, but I make no bones about it, that I prefer the Phil Lewis version of this band. I wouldn’t go out of my way to see their set.
Chip Z’Nuff mentioned in the Rocklahoma that a new Enuff Z’nuff album is on the way with Jake E. Lee on guitar. I am not sure if Jake E. Lee will be with them at Rocklahoma, but if so, this is a show not to be missed.
I haven’t ever seen Vain live, but I have heard a lot of good things about them. I would be happy to check them out.
House of Lords is still putting out new music, and has a new CD that will hit stores in a couple of weeks. Their last album, World Upside Down was quite good. James Christian is a very good singer, and the band features the talent of axe slinger Jimi Bell. Count me in!
I had the pleasure of seeing Jetboy live in Columbus (See this article for the concert review with videos). The band was excellent alive. I wouldn’t miss this their set for anything.
Tracii Guns mentioned in the Rocklahoma press conference that he hated opening for these guys, as they used to blow him off the stage. Jetboy was originally signed to MCA, and as with most acts on that label, never got the proper support they deserved. They are going to open up a lot of eyes at Rocklahoma.
Bret Michaels mentioned at the press conference that this will be a big show with pyro etc when he closes out on Thursday night. It sounds as if he wants to make this every bit of fun as a Poison show. He also mentioned that a special area will be set up where you can meet him in person, get an autograph, and a picture, and talk music with him. With Rock of Love being the #1 show on cable televison, there will be a lot of people waiting in line to meet Bret, without question. I don’t know much of his solo music, so I can’t say if his solo set is something I would want to check out. I will likely check out his solo disc that is supposed to hit in June.
Strangely enough, most of the bands on the Friday schedule, I have not seen live. For them to all be on the same bill together is quite cool. I wouldn’t want to miss one band on the Friday night line up.
XYZ
Armored Saint
Kingdom Come
Night Ranger
TBA
Triumph
Extreme
XYZ was quite similar to Dokken. Terry Ilous said that this will be the first time the band has played together is several years. It should be an interesting set, and it will good to hear some of their tunes again.
Armored Saint is easily the heaviest band on the main stage for the entire 4 day event, and is a no miss act, in my opinion. Their CD, Symbol of Salvation, is still one of my favorites.
Kingdom Come always took a lot of crap for being a Led Zeppelin clone when they first came out. Nonetheless I like their first two CD’s, but I haven’t cared for their more recent material. I am not sure what the lineup will be for this show. I am guessing it will be Lenny Wolf and a bunch of hired hands. I will have to see what I can find out on this one. I have low expectations for this part of the show.
There are plenty of Night Ranger songs that I have enjoyed over the years. They put out a new CD in 2007, which I still haven’t checked out yet. Jack Blades, Brad Gillis and Kelly Keagy are a very talented group. I wouldn’t dare miss this set.
Triumph and Extreme are co-headlining Friday night. This is one of the few appearances that Triumph is making
in 2008. Rik Emmett always puts on a good show. I wouldn’t miss this for anything.
Extreme is back together again with Gary Cherone, Nuno Bettencourt, and Pat Badger. They are working on new
material for a 2008 release. I would be happy to see Nuno play live, in any capacity. I am glad to see him return to the band that made him famous.
There is also one band that has not been announced for Friday. I am not sure who this will be, but the lineup is already a solid one.
The Saturday Lineup has a lot of question marks for me, but could turn out to be a solid day of rock.
Pretty Boy Floyd
Every Mothers Nightmare
Tora Tora
Black N Blue
Trixter
Kix
Warrant featuring Jani Lane
Cinderella
My understanding is that Pretty Boy Floyd has completely reunited. This isn’t the watered down version of the band that Steve Summers has been on the road with. If so, then this would be kind of cool to see.
Every Mother’s Nightmare is a complete wild card. The singer, Rick Ruhl, and drummer Jim Phipps are the only remaining members. I like their bluesy Memphis rock, and would like to check them out.
Tora Tora on the other hand is a complete band reunion. I love their two CD’s Surprise Attack, and Wild America.
I have seen them live but it has easily been 18 years ago. They were great then, so I would imagine a solid show by this group. Hopefully their unreleased CD will see the light of day after this.
I never had the opportunity to see Black N’ Blue live, but I have all of their CD’s and would certainly want to check them out. Jamie St. James was pretty good on the last Warrant CD. I don’t know what the lineup will be for this show, but I doubt that Tommy Thayer will be part of it. Gene Simmons owns him now.
I have to admit that I have never been a Trixter fan. I always looked at this band as the New Kids on the Block
with guitars. I thought their music was a little thin back in the day, and seeing them live won’t change my opinion.
I have always liked Kix, and I have seen them live a few times. I have also seen Steve Whiteman’s other band,
Funny Money (which sounds exactly like Kix). It would be cool to hear some Kix tunes live again.
I saw Jani Lane solo in 2007, and he sounded great. I am happy that Warrant is back together again in a full reunion. I have seen them live a few times, and they always put on a good show.
Cinderella is also a band that has always put on an excellent show, each and every time I have seen them. Tom Keifer’s voice is the only thing that is a question mark about this show. The band has been off for a couple of years so I am hopeful that Tom’s voice is back to full strength.
The Sunday lineup is interesting, especially with two times slots still opened. One of these slots is heavily rumored to be Motley Crue. I am not sure of the other one, but wouldn’t be shocked to see Danger Danger get the other slot.
Axe
Beautiful Creatures
Zebra
Lynch Mob
TBA
Tesla
TBA
I doubt a lot of people are going to know Axe. I know the band, but I wouldn’t go out of my to see them play live. I like their tune Rock and Roll Party In the Streets, but that is about it.
Beautiful Creatures have released a couple of CD’s in this decade which is more than a lot of the bands in this music festival can say. Seeing them on the roster has me getting out my CD’s by them again. I would certainly want to check them out.
Zebra is a darkhorse in this lineup. I haven’t seen them live, but I am quite familiar with their music. This could be a good show.
Lynch Mob now features Oni Logan on vocals, Marco Mendoza on bass, Tommy Aldridge on drums, and of course George Lynch on guitar. I saw half of this band perform with Whitesnake, and would love to see this lineup in action. Tommy Aldridge is an animal on the drums, and George Lynch needs no introductions. I am interested in hearing his new Scorpion Tales album, but this is a Scorpions cover album. This is quite odd, considering that he hasn’t ever been in the band.
Tesla is the must see band on the Sunday bill. I have seen Tesla twice in the last year, and they were excellent both times. They will easily be the best band on the Sunday lineup (amongst those that have been announced so far.)
The side stages at Rocklahoma has a bunch of darkhorses, and bands that may surprise you.
The lineups look like this:
The Retrospect Records stage includes the following bands: Jester, Sidekixx, air-A-Dice, Front Runner, Tommy Had a Vision, Valor, Gypsy Blue, Whitefoxx, Blue Tiger, Wild August, Messang, Paul Shortino, Mariah, Warryor, Bad Candy,
Lorraine, Nasty Nasty, Real Steel, Cuttlass, Vyper, Mass, Bad Candy, Oney, Strikeforce, Herazz, Reckless, Heartless, Ron Keel, Warryor and Alibi.
I am not familar with most of the bands on the Retrospect stage, aside from: Mariah, Mass, Paul Shortino, Ron Keel, Nasty Nasty and Strikeforce. I would certainly like to
check out some of these acts, although none of these were bands were ever considered A-Listers.
The other stage has Texas Hippie Coalition, Karnevil featuring Dario Lorina, Dirty Penny, Crooked X, Gypsy Pistoleros, Sweet FA, Banshee, Gods of Kansas, Lipstick Magazine, Pownd, Shadowside, Mindflow, Warmachine, Asphalt Valentine, and Krucible featuring Lance King.
The interesting thing about Stage 3 is most of these are all up and coming bands.18 year old Dario Lorina is an amazing guitar player. Look him up on you tube and watch this kid play. He is very good. Karnevil is his new band. I don’t know much about them, but with Lorina on the six string, they will be interesting.
Dirty Penny is one of the better new glam bands out there. They aren’t very original, but their new CD is pretty good.
The Gypsy Pistoleros close out Friday Night on stage three, and they are the must see band in Rocklahoma. The Flamenco twist on their upbeat glam tunes is certainly one that I would like to see.
Sweet FA is the late 80’s/early 90’s hard rock band that reunited in 2007. Their new CD, The Lost Tapes is quite good. I have seen this band live, and I know they are pretty good.
Banshee is another must see band on stage three. They are one of the heavier acts on this stage. If you haven’t heard any of their music, I recommend checking them out. They will surprise you for sure.
Gods of Kansas is a newer band that is starting to make some waves. They are currently playing a bunch of live shows all over the U.S.
Pownd is a newer heavy metal band that is located 2.5 hours down the road from me in Richmond, Kentucky.
Their newest CD is highly rated across the web. I will be reviewing this one soon.
Shadowside and Asphalt Valentine are two of Chavis Records newer bands. Shadowside has one cd out, and one
on the way. Asphalt Valentine is a hard rocking band from Atlanta, GA. Their debut will be released within
the next couple of months. (I will also be checking them out locally in two weeks).
I don’t know the other acts on this stage (Crooked X, Lipstick Magazine, Mindflow, Warmachine, and Krucible) but I will be exploring these bands in the months to come.
As a whole….Rocklahoma offers plenty of Nostalgia, but also a slew of NEW bands trying to make it in the music world. The addition of two more stages in 2008 greatly improves this event over the 2007 show.
I can only hope that I will be able to make the trek there for this show. I can’t imagine missing this event!

Unwritten Law To Film Hollywood, CA Show For Upcoming DVD Release
***
Band’s Upcoming Sixth Studio Album Due For Release
In Late 2008 Through Suburban Noize
***
Southern California Rock Outfit Has Battled Countless Record Labels, Survived Bomb Attacks And Violent Altercations With Band Members To Produce Five Studio Albums, Five Top Twenty Singles And Tours With Sum 41, Hawthorne Heights and Punk Legends The Sex Pistols
Southern California rockers Unwritten Law will be filming their upcoming March 7th, 2008 performance at the Key Club in Hollywood, CA for an upcoming live DVD release later this year through Suburban Noize Records.
“2008 is looking to be an exciting new year for us boys in Unwritten Law. We look forward to playing and filming our first show of the New Year for our incredibly good looking and devout fans,” says Unwritten Law bassist PK. “This will be our first performance DVD since the ‘Music in High Places” video. What will make this DVD so great is that it will be our first performance DVD the way we play best; with our guitars plugged into our amps and cranked to as loud as they can go! We look forward to rockin’ your brains out March 7th at the Key Club, so remember to make yourselves pretty for the shoot and we’ll see you dirtbags there.”
Emerging from Southern California’s skate/snowboard punk scene in the early 1990s, Unwritten Law has been crafting some of the most infectious pop-punk for over a decade. After releasing series of independent releases that saw them crisscrossing the country with everyone from Sum 41, Hawthorne Heights and opening for punk legends the Sex Pistols, Unwritten Law garnered the mainstream attention they so richly deserved with the release of their fourth album “Elva”, which sold in excess of 400,000 copies. The album produced the top Modern Rock singles “Up All Night”, “Rest of My Life” and the #1 Top 20 single “Seein Red”. 2003 saw the group strip down for the acoustic live record “Music in High Places”, while the group’s 2005 release “Here’s to The Morning” debuted on the Billboard Charts Top 200 at #51.
Unwritten Law has consistently triumphed over adversity and found strength within their music. The group has released five albums on five different record labels and has sold over a million units. The group’s success continues to grow and thrive, despite a record business that continues to spiral downward. Meanwhile the group’s out of control antics have continuously kept the group’s name in press headlines.
In late 2007 the group officially signed with Suburban Noize Records for the release of their currently untitled sixth studio album. The group’s upcoming Suburban Noize debut will see release through the label in late 2008.
“This will be our first release on yet another new label for us, but with a label with whom we have had a long standing history with, the mighty Suburban Noize,” says an excited PK. “We are proud and stoked to have come full circle and to join the Suburban Noize family and look forward to an exciting year.”

0 EDEN Signs With Z RECORDS
Z Records has announced the signing of EDEN to a worldwide deal. The UK outfit, which features Nick Workman (KICK) and Vince O’Regan (BOB CATLEY), has produced a solid melodic hard rock album which bears no resemblance to band’s previous outing, “Open Minds”. According to a press release, EDEN has progressed and produced an album, entitled “Oblivion”, which features influences from WHITESNAKE, LED ZEPPELIN and QUEENSRŸCHE, to name but a few.
Vocalist Nick Workman commented: “EDEN are very happy to forge a partnership with Z Rock Records. With EDEN being a gigging band and not just studio-based, it made perfect sense to sign to a label that supports its bands on the live front. This album is very different from our first album, ‘Open Minds’, in that it has a more melodic approach but still maintains the grooves and edge. When we wrote that first album, me and Vince had only just hooked up so it was all new. This time round we had more time to work on the songs.”
Vince O’Regan, EDEN’s guitarist, had this to say: “Having had negative comments regarding albums that I had recently recorded, me and Nick decided to hand over mixing duties to someone else. Nick is good friends with Steve Newman and Steve was more than happy to take it on and he has done a fantastic job and given us a huge-sounding album.”
“Oblivion” will be released April 28.

0 New Valient Thorr Album in 2008, plus new tour dates!
Venusian rockers and occasional Earth dwellers, Valient Thorr, will begin working on a new album at the start of 2008. The band will spend January in Southern California writing and demoing new material before heading to Seattle to record with Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, High On Fire) at Studio Litho and Soundhouse Recording in February. This new album and follow up to their 2006 release, Legend of the World, will be released Summer 2008.
Valient Himself, lead singer of the group, said this about working with Endino, “Man, we’re psyched to begin working with Jack on the new album. Not only because of his discography, but after meeting him out on the Volcom Tour, I realized he was just as big of a record obsessive as I was.” Valient Thorr and Endino met and toured together earlier this year on the Volcom Tour where Endino was playing guitar in the group, Kandi Coded. Valient Himself goes on to say, “Check out his [Endino’s] meticulously detailed website, we could geek out on it for hours about hard to find badass tunes. The dude knows his sh*t back to front. This record is going to be over the top.”
Valient Thorr will be road testing some new songs – “Mask Of Sanity”, “Infinite Lives”, and “1000 Winters In a Row” – this month, when they join up for a two-week tour with The Sword and Black Cobra (see all dates below).
