For over 20 years, whether it’s fronting Brother Cane, working with such stars as Sammy Hagar and John Waite, or touring the world with Alice Cooper; Damon Johnson has had a career most musicians can only dream about.

Damon recently released his second solo album “Release” and is preparing to hit the road once again with Alice Cooper.

Damon took the time from a busy schedule to join Brian Basher on Hard Rock Nights for a special edition of the internationally syndicated radio show.

Damon talks about his latest solo project “Release”, working with Alice Cooper and legendary producer Bob Ezrin on Cooper’s new project “Welcome 2 My Nightmare”, the long lost Damn Yankees album, and of course the future of Brother Cane.

Brian will also debut a new track from “Release” Damon’s version of “Generation Landslide” which features a guest appearance by Alice Cooper on vocals and harmonica.

Damon’s interview debuts Wednesday Apr. 27th on Hard Rock Nights and will be rebroadcast throughout the week by Hard Rock Nights affiliates around the world.

0 Hard Rock Nights To Air 5 Nights A Week Beginning Jan. 17th

  • January 17, 2011
  • by Rob Rockitt
  • · Entertainment · Hard Rock Music · Hard Rock News · Music

Beginning Jan. 17th, Hard Rock Nights will begin airing a new, 3-hour show Monday thru Saturday on KARL Radio based out of Los Angeles. The Monday thru Friday shows will feature original programming each night, and the Saturday show will serve as a recap show highlighting the best music of the previous week.

Hard Rock Nights is a 2 hour weekly syndicated radio program, hosted by Brian Basher,  that currently airs on 20+ affiliates and in 3 countries and can be heard approximately 25 times a week. Participating stations and show times can be found at http://hardrocknights.com/affiliates/ .

Since it first hit the airwaves in August 2008 on WMWX-FM in Cincinnati, through its move to syndication in 2009,. Hard Rock Nights has strived to give its listeners the best hard rock show possible each and every week. Following a slight format change and a new host in 2010, the syndicated radio show plans to take that goal a step further heading into 2011.

Hard Rock Nights owner and host Brian Basher had this to say about the show. “Having a 2 hour weekly show is great for introducing our listeners to various new bands, but it doesn’t really give the listeners a chance to become familiar with those bands because the play-list changes so much from week to week. With a nightly show we’ll be able to introduce the bands to listeners around the world and give them a chance to really become familiar with a band and their music on a consistent basis.”

Basher continues, “I’m grateful and thrilled that the staff at KARL Radio have enjoyed what we’ve been trying to accomplish with Hard Rock Nights week-in and week-out, and I am thankful for the opportunity they have offered us to take Hard Rock Nights to the next level.”

While the initial nightly episodes of Hard Rock Nights will be broadcast on KARL Radio other stations, both internet and terrestrial are invited to contact Brian Basher in regards to carrying Hard Rock Nights – either the weekly or nightly broadcasts.

KARL Radio is an internet radio station based out of Los Angeles that offers its listeners a wide variety of programming on a daily basis and can be heard at the following link http://www.showbizbroadcasting.com/

0 Bill Leverty To Appear On Hard Rock Nights Radio Show!

  • September 2, 2009

BillLeverty

Firehouse guitarist speaks about his new solo release, ‘Deep South’

Guitarist Bill Leverty is the special guest on this week’s edition of Hard Rock Nights. Leverty speaks with JT about his new solo record, ‘Deep South,’ as well as his continued work with Firehouse and plans for a new Firehouse album.

With his guitar work as a member of Firehouse, Bill Leverty set the rock world ablaze with his fiery riffs and solos. But Leverty is no one-trick pony, as evidenced by his new solo release, ‘Deep South.’ Instead of focusing on the arena-ready rockers that his full-time band specializes in, ‘Deep South’ is steeped in tough blues and southern rock sounds – bringing to mind such legendary names as ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the Allman Brothers.

In addition to supplying guitar, Leverty also handles lead vocal duties, as well as incorporating such uncommon instruments as a guitarelele and dobro into the mix. Featured is the album-opening “Trouble So Hard” (of which was made popular by Moby, who sampled some of the original in his hit single, “Natural Blues”), as well as the album’s first video, “Boll Weevil,” the sweet acoustic strum of “Walk Beside Me,” the muscular blues rock of “Samson and Delilah,” and a finger-snappin’ jazzy reading of the Ray Charles classic, “Hit the Road Jack” (which includes some impressive piano playing from Leverty, as well as vocals from his wife, Kris). Additionally, Leverty’s grandfather’s artwork adjourns the album’s front cover.

The interview can be heard on Hard Rock Nights September 4-10. Hard Rock Nights is a weekly syndicated radio program heard on a number of radio stations in the USA, Canada, and Europe (http://hardrocknights.wordpress.com/affiliates).

You can view the video for the first single from Bill Leverty’s ‘Deep South’ here:

0 Hard Rock Nights Parts Ways With ClassX

  • July 8, 2009
  • by Rob Rockitt

hardrocknights

HARD ROCK NIGHTS has parted ways with ClassX due to scheduling difficulties. The host, JT Carter, unable to participate in the station’s local fundraising efforts, will no longer be airing the program on ClassX. There is no animosity between JT and ClassX; the departure was amicable and necessary. But JT still has radio in his blood, so HARD ROCK NIGHTS is looking for a new broadcasting partner.

HARD ROCK NIGHTS is a weekly radio program featuring hard rock music from the 1960s through the 21st century. On HARD ROCK NIGHTS, the listener can expect to hear both hits and album cuts from top bands such as Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Motley Crue, and Aerosmith. This is not your run-of-the-mill radio program, however. We also feature underappreciated hard rockers such as Danger Danger, Pretty Boy Floyd, and Faster Pussycat, and lesser-known headbangers like Triggerdaddy, M.O.B., Joetown and The Spider Rockets.

The host of HARD ROCK NIGHTS is a radio veteran. A graduate of Western Kentucky University’s prestigious broadcasting program with a Bachelor of Arts degree, JT has served as air talent for WRFL-FM (Lexington) and WMWX-FM (Cincinnati), program director for low-power WXMZ-FM (Hartford, KY), and program director/station manager for WWHR-FM (Bowling Green).

HARD ROCK NIGHTS began airing on WMWX-FM (Cincinnati) in August, 2008, every Saturday night. The program was well-received by both the local community and the global listenership via the station’s website. With over 5000 connections on Myspace and many more on Facebook and Twitter, HARD ROCK NIGHTS is poised to bring several new hits to your station’s website.

JT has developed a strong relationship with many public relations and promotional firms and has welcomed several high-profile guests on HARD ROCK NIGHTS in the past, including K.K. Downing (Judas Priest), Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big), Yngwie Malmsteen, and George Lynch (Dokken/Lynch Mob) among others. With an ongoing relationship with these public relations professionals, HARD ROCK NIGHTS will continue to deliver high-impact interviews with some of the biggest stars in hard rock history as well as up-and-coming artists.

JT is ready to take HARD ROCK NIGHTS to the next level and begin broadcasting in as many local markets as possible. The program is currently set up as a two-hour broadcast with three-minute local stopsets at :17, :37, and :57. We can also offer a one-hour edition of the program, and if there is enough interest, we could even add an addition hour for those seeking a to fill a three-hour timeslot. JT will record station liners and customized local promos for the program as well.

To make arrangements to begin airing HARD ROCK NIGHTS on your radio station or network, contact JT at jasontcarter@gmail.com.
