Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the worldwide release of the second ISSA album entitled “The Storm” on October 14th in Europe and October 18th in North America.
Since her debut “Sign of Angels”, the Norwegian Rock Diva has often been compared to such music stars as Celine Dion, Avril Lavigne and Amy Lee (Evanescence). Issa however has created her own style and approach to Melodic Rock, by mixing her peculiar and unique melodic sensibility with a rocking attitude which is unseen in today’s Pop singers.
Not metal and certainly not easy listening Pop, Issa’s music has everything and more to appeal to the vast masses: real rock with a commercial sheen.
Unlike the debut self-titled album, the “The Storm” has Issa taking a shot at songwriting and together with the Martin brothers (Vega, House of Lords, Khymera, Sunstorm), she offers up tracks on the new album like “Invincible”, “We’re on Fire” and “The Storm”, the album’s title track. Issa explains “The songs I wrote on this album show more of my personality and direction. Some of them have been written straight from my life and it’s exciting for me to finally show some of my own work for the first time. I knew Tom and James Martin through the last album on which they wrote some fantastic tunes. We’ve worked together a lot since then and these songs are very personal to me. “Invincible” especially is a song that I feel very close to.”
Songwriting contributions also came from Robert Säll (Work of Art), Randy Goodrum (Steve Lukather, Toto, Steve Perry), Daniel Palmqvist, Johannes Stole (Xorigin), Daniel Flores, Sören Kronqvist (Crash the System, Sunstorm), Chris Laney, Magnus Karlsson (Place Vendome) and more !
“The Storm” shows a different side of me” continues Issa. “I’ve had the most life changing year of my life and this also reflects on the new album in many ways. It’s a more honest performance from me and I think every song captures a feeling or something we all can relate too: everything from the fun times to the deeper side of us. I think its so important to have an album that can touch more than one feeling.”
Produced by Daniel Flores, “The Storm” shows that Issa is a solid Rock Music star and a true uprising Rock diva, who is set to alight hearts and minds of Melodic Rock fans for the years to come !

Frontiers Records is excited to present the world the talents of Norwegian singer ISSA (Isabell Oversveen) with the release of her debut album Sign of Angels on September 14th in Europe and October 10th in the USA.
Sometimes real discoveries in music shake up the rock world from out of nowhere. In 2008 a new band from Sweden called Work of Art took the Melodic Rock scene by storm with a stunning debut album. In the end of 2009 W.E.T., another alliance between Swedish musicians with singer Jeff Scott Soto was met with the highest enthusiasm from the Melodic Rock crowd, and just a few months ago, the return of Treat with Coup De Grace, marked another milestone release in the genre. Now, once again from Scandinavia, Issa, an exceptionally gifted singer from Norway takes her chance with Sign of Angels, her debut album, an album that many of the ones in the know have defined as a bomb!
Helped by producer Ronny Milianowicz (Saint Deamon) and some killer musicians such as Peter Huss on guitar, Uli Kusch (ex Masterplan, Helloween) on drums, Nobby Noberg on bass and Tim Larsson (Nick Lachey) on keyboards, Issa has managed to create a superb album which offers soaring and instantly likable hook lines, solid guitar riffs and a crisp sound. Described as Brother Firetribe meets Treat with tons of melodies, class and attitude, Sign of Angels features song writing contributions from Joacim Cans (Hammerfall), Thomas Vickstrom (Candlemass), Daniel Flores (TMOMS), Soren Kronkvist (Crash the System) and many
more.
A video clip for the song Im Alive a true radio hit was shot by Thomas Tjader (Pretty Maids, In Flames) and will be added to the album.
Issa is a 26 years old girl from Oslo. At 17 she started to work her way into the music business as a demo singer for different labels in studios all around Norway. At 19 she won a competition with almost 150.000 votes singing the song Fade Away written by Stian Aarstad, who had been a member of Dimmu Borgir. The song was released on a record in co-operation with TV channel Fox Kids.
People just love listening to this girl sing and she soon hooked up with Gaute Ormaasen from the Norwegian Idol Show and toured with him. Issa has also performed on many Metal and Rock records including albums by Gaia Epicus and Illusion Suite. Issa has also played over 400 shows with Norwegian artists such as Postgirobygget, Dde, Jahn Teigen etc.

Frontiers Records is pleased to announced the signing of a new female music star from Norway. Her name is simply Issa and she is destined to stardom in the Melodic Rock musical world ! With amazing looks and an equally amazing set of pipes, Issa has been working hard on her debut album under the coordination of producer Ronny Milianowicz (Saint Deamon, Primal Fear, Dyonisus etc.).
