Heavyweights ROB ZOMBIE and KORN have announced a co-headlining arena tour—the “NIGHT OF THE LIVING DREADS” tour–kicking off Sunday, November 3 in Reno, NV and encompassing 17 dates across the U.S (full itinerary below) before wrapping November 26 in Bethlehem, PA. With both artists known for delivering electrifying performances filled with sonic thunderbolts and dark intensity, fans can expect the roofs to lift off arenas across the country. For a full list of tour dates and ticket links, visit: http://korn.com/events or http://robzombie.com/tour-dates/.
GRAMMY® Award-winning multi-platinum hard rock innovators KORN—Jonathan Davis [Vocals], James “Munky” Shaffer [Guitar], Brian “Head” Welch [Guitar], Reggie “Fieldy” Arvizu [Bass] and Ray Luzier [Drums]–will be touring in support of their 11th studio album, THE PARADIGM SHIFT, due in stores and via digital retailers on October 8 on Prospect Park. The video for the album’s Top 10 Active Rock track “Never Never” premiered on VEVO (9/6) and can be viewed here: http://vevo.ly/UaDV41. The album cover art is below.
A rock icon and auteur filmmaker of unlimited vision, Rob Zombie has continuously challenged audiences as he stretches the boundaries of music, film, and publishing. In April, the seven-time GRAMMY® nominee released his fifth solo album, VENOMOUS RAT REGENERATION VENDOR, on his new Zodiac Swan label through T-Boy Records/UMe. The album debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, and has spawned two Top 10 Active Rock singles, “Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Super Town” and Zombie’s current Top 10 spin on Grand Funk Railroad’s anthemic “We’re An American Band.” The song’s lyric video can be viewed HERE. The album cover art is below.
On his upcoming co-headlining tour with KORN, Zombie notes, “Some of the best times we’ve had on the road have been touring with Korn, so we’re thrilled to be doing it again!” Jonathan Davis adds, “We’ve had a lot of fun touring and playing with Rob Zombie over the years. It’s been a while and those shows were so much fun. We’re really excited about doing it again.”
These tour dates come on the heels of KORN announcing the return of their FAMILY VALUES FESTIVAL–a one–day spectacular taking place Saturday, October 5 at the 1st Bank Center in Denver, Colorado with Hollywood Undead, Asking Alexandria, Machine Gun Kelly and Beware of Darkness–as well as their current cross-country record release “launch dates” tour (with support from Asking Alexandria and Love And Death) taking the band through October 12 when they wrap in Las Vegas.
This fall, Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare — the ultimate Halloween music and horror event – will terrify fans every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from October 10 through November 2 at FEARPlex in Pomona, just outside Los Angeles. Zombie will headline the closing night of music performances (November 2) during this bone-chilling experience combining the most advanced haunted house attractions with a not-to-be-missed music festival from top hard rock/metal, rock alternative, EDM, and Latin artists. The music lineup includes: Eagles Of Death Metal, Goldfinger, 3OH!3, The Used, Ozomatli, Beware Of Darkness, Butcher Babies, Ghost Town, Andrew WK, Motionless In White, Powerman 5000, TSOL, The Dickies, The Vandals, and Wallpaper. Visit www.GreatAmericanNightmare.com for more details.
THE PARADIGM SHIFT marks the emotional return of co-founding guitarist Brian “Head” Welch for his first album with KORN since 2003‘s Take a Look in the Mirror, and it serves as the follow-up to the band’s 2011 critically acclaimed trend-setting dubstep metal hybrid, The Path of Totality, which debuted Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and was named Revolver Magazine‘s “Album of the Year.” THE PARADIGM SHIFT is also KORN’s first time working with super producer Don Gilmore [Linkin Park’s The Hybrid Theory, etc.] who recorded the album with the band at Buck Owens’ studio in their original hometown Bakersfield and at Los Angeles‘ famed NRG Recording Studios.
Rob Zombie has sold more than fifteen million albums worldwide and he is the only artist to experience unprecedented success in both music and film as the writer/director of six feature films with a worldwide gross totaling more than $100 million. Prior to VENOMOUS RAT REGENERATION VENDOR, his last solo studio album was the long-awaited HELLBILLY DELUXE 2, which came a decade after its predecessor, HELLBILLY DELUXE, the album that established Zombie as a solo artist after the breakup of multi-platinum group White Zombie. That triple-platinum album also yielded a string of successful radio singles, namely “Dragula,” “Superbeast” and “Living Dead Girl,” which dominated the airwaves. In April, Zombie released his sixth motion picture, The Lords of Salem, which he wrote, directed and produced in tandem with the producers of the Paranormal Activity franchise, with Anchor Bay Films.

Couple that with the undisputed legacy of Alice In Chains, the unforgettable live spectacle of Korn and the hits of Bush, and we’re in store for a truly legendary weekend,” comments Joe Litvag, Executive Producer of Rocklahoma for AEG Live.

Established in 2007 as a classic rock destination festival with the motto “life, liberty and the pursuit of rock,” Rocklahoma was revamped in 2010 as organizers teamed with AEG Live to create an event encompassing a much broader mix of classic, current and up-and-coming rock artists. In 2011, a record-breaking crowd of over 35,000 fans turned out for the festival, which raised over $10,000 for the American Red Cross as part of their tornado relief efforts in nearby Joplin, MO. In 2012, a national television audience was able to experience many Rocklahoma band performances in HD when AXS TV aired live coverage of the festival.
Rocklahoma marks the final event of the 2013 World’s Loudest Month. Created in partnership by AEG Live and Right Arm Entertainment, the World’s Loudest Month features the biggest names in rock music performing in five distinct U.S. concert atmospheres: Welcome To Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, Rockfest, Rock On The Range, and Rocklahoma. In 2012, the World’s Loudest Month featured over 100 artists playing for more than 200,000 rock music fans across the country on five consecutive weekends, confirming that rock music is as vital as ever.
Rocklahoma is proud to be sponsored by Bud Light, Hard Rock (presenting the Hard Rock 2nd Stage), Jägermeister, and Monster Energy.

The new centrally-located site provides plenty of space to expand, including more food and beverage stands, merchandise stands, restrooms and parking, and also offers more traffic routes to and from the event.
“When our fans speak, we listen,” commented Joe Litvag, co-executive producer of the festival for AEG Live. “We personally responded to every person who sent us comments, and because of that important feedback, our motto this year is ‘Let’s double it!’ Double the number of entrance points into the festival, double the number of concession stands, double the number of merchandise stands, and double the number of locations for free water…We’re taking the steps to make Carolina Rebellion an upgraded experience for everyone.”
In addition, all ticket prices will include parking to ensure quicker access to the parking areas, and earlier entry into the parking areas and will be allowed, along with earlier door times, to better alleviate the traffic and lines. The inclusion of the new Camping Packages will encourage fans to arrive on Friday starting at 10am and stay until Noon on Sunday, thereby relieving traffic congestion on Saturday.
Further improvements to amenities include: a larger box office area for will call pickup, shade locations in public areas and the Hangover Recovery VIP Lounge area inside the festival grounds to allow those with VIP Lounge tickets to have a special place to enjoy the event.
“Our sponsors mean as much to us as our fans do,” added Litvag. “And without the support of music-centric companies like Monster Energy, who present our two main stages at Rebellion, we couldn’t put a festival of this size and scope on for the people.”
Carolina Rebellion is also proud to be sponsored by Jägermeister, Hangover Recovery, and f.y.e. – for your entertainment (which will be on site selling CDs and DVDs and will host band autograph signings throughout the festival day). “We are honored that Rock On The Range has asked us be one of the headliners,” says M Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold. “Not only is it an amazing show to be apart of, but it holds a deep spot in our hearts. Rock On The Range was the last American show we played with our best friend and drummer, The Rev. We are looking forward to continuing his legacy of rock n roll insanity that night! See you all there.”

0 Monster Energy Music As A Weapon V Tour” Featuring Co-Headliners Disturbed and Korn Add Second Leg in March Due to Demand
The Two Acts Vow to Bring Big Show With Full Production on Extensive Forty-Five City Trek of Secondary Markets; Early Ticket Buyers to Receive $5 Discount on the First 1,000 Tickets Sold From Each Show
As announced last month, Korn and Disturbed, two of rock’s biggest acts, are teaming up to co-headline this year’s “Monster Energy Music As A Weapon V Tour.” With the first half of dates on sale now and off to a scorching start, the highly successful Monster Energy’s MAAW V Tour has added even more dates and new markets: a second leg from March 8th through March 30th that will include stops in Las Vegas, Texas, the West Coast and many more.
Jonathan Davis of Korn and David Draiman of Disturbed on how the 45 city trek across America came about:
“We’ve both just finished great tours. We headlined Mayhem and Disturbed headlined Uproar. The Disturbed guys came out to see us play in Chicago and we got to talking about doing something together. We both agreed that as cool as those types of tours are, they usually only hit major markets, and we both agreed that a lot of our fans just don’t live in those cities- so we thought it would be cool to team up, put a big show together, and hit every great place that those big tours never get to. Besides all that, with us and Disturbed together, doing full shows with full production… all I can say is IT’S ON!” said the excited Korn frontman.
“We are thrilled to launch the Monster Energy Music As A Weapon V Tour with our good friends from Korn,” says Disturbed singer David Draiman. “Every year we try to up the ante, and this year, by having Korn co-headline, we really think it’s going to be our best tour yet. When the idea first came up, one of the main things both bands agreed upon and wanted to focus on was hitting a lot of smaller markets. It’s exciting to bring a show like this to cities that are usually skipped over on some of the other larger rock tours that only hit the major markets. We have a lot of loyal fans in these cities and we wanted to bring them a show that they deserve.”
Tickets for the first leg of the tour are on sale now and tickets for select dates on the second leg go on sale this weekend. The bands have decided that the first 1,000 tickets from each show will be sold at a $5 discount during the on-sale weekend to reward early ticket-buying fans.
“A lot of promoters only offer discounted tickets a day or two before the actual show date. We wanted to do something for the fans that are buying their tickets as soon as they go on sale. To offer a discount upfront made the most sense to us,” adds Disturbed guitarist Dan Donegan.
“We’re tired of promoters offering discounted tickets to last minute folks in order to sell the seats in the back of the gig. We’d rather give our fans a discount for buying early,” said Korn guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer.
On August 31st, 2010, Disturbed released their fifth studio album Asylum, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart. Asylum is the band’s fourth consecutive studio album to debut at No. 1, a feat achieved by only two other rock groups in history: Metallica and the Dave Matthews Band. An international hit with Top 10 chart bows across the globe, Asylum has earned critical praise from USA Today, which called it “a tight, sharp-riffed ride… the combo of aggressive roar and guitar grace recalls Metallica’s finest moments,” and the New York Daily News, which declared “On Asylum, Disturbed finely weigh power and delicacy, catchiness and punch. The subtle variety of the band’s tunesmanship, and the buoyancy of their rhythms make this hard group so easy to love.”
Over the last 16 years, Korn have established themselves as one of the biggest bands in the history of hard rock and metal, selling over 30 million albums worldwide. Their latest album, Korn III: Remember Who You Are, released on Roadrunner Records, debuted at #2 on the Billboard charts this year, with Metal Hammer proclaiming that fans would be “wiping away tears of recognition and delight when they blast it for the first, second, and 38th time.”

0 Korn Present ‘Korn Live: The Encounter’
Korn is once again reinventing itself and doing something completely innovative, nine albums and two decades into its incredible career. The band will perform for an hour and twenty minutes inside the mysterious crop circle that was recently revealed in the final installment of a viral web campaign. The band worked closely with longtime UK-based circle makers, circlemakers.org, on the shadowy design which features a series of intricate circles, one of which includes the iconic Korn logo, and stretches over 920 feet long and 350 feet wide. The concert event, which is a first for a rock band, takes inspiration from the eerie atmosphere of Pink Floyd’s legendary “Live at Pompeii.” The concert will make its North American broadcast premiere on HDNet on Sunday, July 11 at 8 PM ET and will have a worldwide online premiere on Monday, July 12 via MySpace in countries all over the world.

0 KORN signs with Roadrunner Records
Roadrunner Records announced today the worldwide signing of multi-platinum, genre-defining hard rock band Korn to the label. Korn III – Remember Who You Are is the band’s ninth album overall and their first album for their new label. It was produced by Ross Robinson, who also manned the boards for the band’s explosively definitive self-titled 1994 debut, as well as the follow up, 1996’s Life is Peachy.
Bursting onto and instantly dominating the hard rock scene in 1994, Korn have proven to be one of the pre-eminent bands in the world, as well as one of the most influential and significant bands on the hard rock musical landscape for the past two decades.
“We called this record Korn III — Remember Who You Are because it really feels like a return to that attitude we had on the first two records,” bassist Fieldy said. “And when it came to putting this record out, we could not think of anyone better to help us than Roadrunner, the only label that even understands rock music anymore.”
Fieldy also checked in from the band’s current tour, taking time to greet fans while the band was trekking around the snowy Alaskan terrain.
Over the course of eight releases, Korn have sold over 30 million albums worldwide, inspiring a disciple-like devotion among their fanbase along the way. Korn also notched six Grammy nominations and have won two; one for Best Short Form Music Video for “Freak on a Leash” from 1998’s Follow the Leader, as well as one for Best Metal Performance for “Here to Stay” from 2002’s Untouchables. They have also been nominated for nine MTV VMAs, having picked up two wins for “Best Rock Video” and “Best Editing” for “Freak on a Leash.” Korn also launched their own massively successful touring festival, “The Family Values Tour.”
It’s beyond evident that Korn are one of a kind and have secured a firm place in the history of rock ‘n’ roll, thanks to their signature blend of twisted, throbbing guitar riffs, syncopated chaotic funk beats, a schizophrenic bass thump and an unmistakable cathartic howl.
Korn‘s current lineup is Jonathan Davis (vocals), Fieldy (bass), James “Munky” Shaffer (guitar) and Ray Luzier (drums).
Korn III – Remember Who You Are retains that savage, raw energy that made Korn such a crucial fixture to an entire generation of diehard fans.
The band will spend the summer headlining the third annual Rock Star Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. They will also embark on a South American run, as well as headline the Jagermeister Music Tour in America beforehand.

1 BRIAN “HEAD” WELCH SET TO EMBARK ON SECOND LEG OF FIRST-EVER SOLO TOUR STARTING AUGUST 14 IN LOS ANGELES
BRIAN “HEAD” WELCH is set to launch the second leg of his first-ever solo U.S. tour in support of his debut album, SAVE ME FROM MYSELF, which was released September 9 on his Driven Music Group label.
With a new band at his side–Scott Von Heldt (guitars), Ralph Patlan (guitars), Michael Valentine (bass), Dan Johnson (drums), Brian Ruedy (keyboards/programming)—HEAD will embark on another round of dates starting August 14 in Los Angeles, including a free concert in Las Vegas on August 29 at the 20,000 seat Thomas & Mack Arena along with Flyleaf, Blindside, and others.
“The first leg of the tour a couple months ago was a great warm up tour,” says HEAD. “Now we’re ready to kick it up a notch. We’re coming into my neck of the woods with this West Coast leg and I’m expecting to see a great turn out and a lot of energy at the shows!”
SAVE ME FROM MYSELF, had tremendous sales its first week, making its debut on Billboard‘s “Top Hard Rock Albums” chart at #13, #7 on Billboard’s “Top Independent Albums” chart and #21 on SoundScan’s “Top Current Rock Albums” chart. Overall, against all genres, including new releases and catalogue, Head’s album debuted on Billboard’s “Top 200 Albums” chart at # 63.
Critics are taking notice as well. To wit:
“…an honest, forceful, spiritual metal record…”
–Brian Stillman, Revolver
“It’s downright impressive how a guitarist who has never sung before could release such a melodic, haunting record…”
–Robert VerBruggen, Outburn
“As shown throughout Head’s debut solo effort, SAVE ME FROM MYSELF, though his lyrical messages may now be more positive and uplifting than anything found in the Korn hard rock catalogue, the style of music brought forth here is as heavy as anything Mr. Welch has ever presented before.”
–Hit Parader
“The hefty, synth-led ‘Flush’ nods towards Korn and early Static-X, while the amusingly titled ‘Die Religion Die’ is a dark stomper. All evidence that for Head, life these days, is definitely peachy.”
–Ronnie Kerswell, Rock Sound (U.K.)

3 Metallica to Perform at 2008 Ozzfest
Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Jonathan Davis of Korn, Serj Tankian, Hellyeah, Sevendust and Shadows Fall, among others, are scheduled to appear at this year’s one-off Ozzfest, to be held Aug. 9 at Pizza Hut Park in Dallas.
Other main stage acts on the bill are Cavalera Conspiracy, Apocalyptica, In This Moment and an all-star tribute to late Pantera guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott. Second stage acts are Devildriver, Kingdom of Sorrow, Soilent Green, Witchcraft and Goatwhore. The Sword, Drowning Pool and Rigor Mortis will handle duties on the third stage.
“We’re going to be a stadium destination festival for now — we have gone past doing the sheds every summer,” says Ozzy’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, who is producing Ozzfest with AEG Live. “We’ve given everyone else the blueprint and we have to keep evolving Ozzfest. This is just the beginning; AEG Live and I have a lot of new ideas for Ozzfest.”
Ozzfest will be Osbourne’s only concert performance this summer. Tickets for the one-day festival will go on sale May 31 via Ozzfest.com; prices have not yet been announced.
Last year, the Osbournes created a stir when they revealed the Live Nation-produced Ozzfest would be a sponsor-driven, free event, and acts would be asked to play without being paid. The 25-date amphitheater tour featured such artists as Lamb Of God, Hatebreed and Lordi, among others
