Frontiers Records is pleased to announce all details about the sensational new band REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE, brainchild of ex STRATOVARIUS main man Timo Tolkki.
“Everything that was to be said with that band, with those members, had already been said and to continue would have simply been repeating the same formula over and over again”, says Tolkki about this much talked split. Furthermore, tensions between the members brought Tolkki’s decision to form a brand new band REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE, which is the logical progression of the Stratovarius legacy.
The first record from the new band, aptly entitled “New Era“, includes the vocal talents of Michael Kiske (ex HELLOWEEN), Tobias Sammet (EDGUY, AVANTASIA) and Pasi Rantanen (THUNDERSTONE) plus Mirka Rantanen on drums (THUNDERSTONE), Pasi Heikkilä on bass (45 DEGREE WOMAN) and Joonas Puolakka on keyboards.
Tolkki originally composed all the songs included in this album for Stratovarius, but after the group broke up, he thought he needed to get these songs out and did not spend time looking for a permanent band line-up. He is currently still auditioning singers and musicians and, as soon as a stable line-up is set in stone, Revolution Renaissance will start its life as a live unit.
“New Era” pays tribute musically to the trademark Stratovarius albums “Visions” and “Episode”, with its Melodic Power Metal style that Tolkki was instrumental in creating, along with such bands as Helloween and Gamma Ray. His trademark guitar playing that earned him a position in “The 80 best guitar players of the World” category in the American “Guitar World” magazine readers poll, shines throughout the album.
Tracklisting of “New Era” includes:
Heroes (lead vocals: Tobias Sammet); I Did It My Way (lead vocals: Michael Kiske); We Are Magic (lead vocals: Pasi Rantanen); Angel (lead vocals: Michael Kiske); Eden Is Burning (lead vocals: Pasi Rantanen); Glorious And Divine (lead vocals: Tobias Sammet); Born Upon The Cross (lead vocals: Pasi Rantanen); Keep The Flame Alive (lead vocals: Michael Kiske); Last Night On Earth (lead vocals: Michael Kiske); Revolution Renaissance (lead vocals: Michael Kiske).
Witness the rebirth of Timo Tolkki and his music the way the fans want to hear him on June 6th !
JUDAS PRIEST’s long-awaited concept album, Nostradamus, will be released in Europe on June 13th as a regular CD and Deluxe Edition CD via Sony/BMG. Guitarist K.K. Downing told BW&BK recently that the album – based on the life and predictions of 16th-century French prophet Nostradamus – will contain “18 songs clocking in at over an hour and a half.”
In a separate interview with BW&BK, frontman Rob Halford added: “We’re treating this like it’s the holy grail of heavy metal. We’re so protective about it – which you have to be – because I think that one of the intriguing things about creating anything – whether it be writing a book or making a move – the less you say about something, the more people want to know about it. And we don’t need to hype it up, it’s internal. The metal fans around the world have great expectations for this record. They know we’re not going to drop the ball. They know we’re going to give everybody something that’s fantastic and top quality. And that’s what it should be after 35 years.”

For Danielia Cotton, What You See Isn’t Necessarily What You Get The Singer’s “Testify” Leaves No Reasonable Doubt: She’s a Rock Star The adage has endured for decades: “Never judge a book by its cover.” In the case of Danielia Cotton, it couldn’t be truer. Her sophomore album ‘Rare Child’ (May 20th, Adrenaline Records/ADA) is the only evidence a listener needs. Danielia may be lovely and petite, but it’s undeniable that her music’s effortless range from gritty “down home” blues to soaring rock stature shouldn’t be ignored. She plays grab-you-by-the-soul music with emotional intensity. When fans and supporters entered a recent sold-out show at New York’s Cutting Room, they were immersed in a spine-tingling performance from a woman whose voice surpasses extraordinary. Audience members were left in awe, whether she was singing hymns with her family or rocking out on guitar with her band. Now she’s making moves on a promo tour throughout the country to support a surge of well-earned radio airplay — “Testify” is currently one of the top songs being added to AAA radio stations nationwide, according to FMQB. Danielia breathes fire into ten rock and soul gems on her album ‘Rare Child,’ which follows her critically acclaimed 2005 ‘Small White Town’ release. All Music Guide called her “a fiery blues-rock artist,” while the Philadelphia Daily News compared her singing to the “emotional power of Janis Joplin… Danielia’s music has the swagger of Let It Bleed-era Rolling Stones.” Listen to Danielia’s “Testify” Here! Tony Harnell (TNT, Westworld, Morning Wood), Magnus Karlsson (ALLEN / LANDE and PRIMAL FEAR) and John Macaluso (Malmsteen, TNT, Ark) have wrapped up recording for the much-anticipated new Starbreaker CD entitled “Love’s Dying Wish“.
Written and produced by Harnell and Karlsson, the tracks have now been handed over to respected producer Tommy Hansen (TNT, Jorn) for mixing. Some of the titles include “Unknown Superstar”, “End Of Alone”, “Love’s Dying Wish”, “Evaporate” and “Beautiful Disaster”.
New bassist Jonni Lightfoot (a touring and recording veteran with extensive credits to his name) has added a tasteful aggressive touch to this magnificent piece of work and compliments Macaluso’s flashy drumming perfectly. This is a very special album that leaps forward from where the Starbreaker debut left off. With a fresh diversity that spans from pounding metal, to deep moody passages wrapped in a dark and beautifully melodic package. The stunning talents of Harnell and Karlsson are on display here in spades with electrifying performances and stellar song writing. These two have truly developed a unique and timeless sound together. Release expected this fall.
Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the signing of the recently reunited Canadian Melodic Rock Godz HONEYMOON SUITE, for the release of their forthcoming, yet untitled, studio album.
In June 2007, the band officially announced the return of the line-up featuring all five original band members: Johnnie Dee on vocals, Derry Grehan on guitar, Ray Coburn on keyboards, Dave Betts on drums and Gary Lalonde on bass.
The new album has been recorded during the cold Canadian winter and is currently in the mixing stages. Some of the new track titles are “The House“, “Separate Lives“, “That’s All You Got“, “Sunday Morning” and “Tired of Waitin’ On You“.
“There are 8 straight ahead rockers and the other 4 are interesting mid-tempo type songs” says Derry Grehan, adding “this album goes back much more to the original HMS melodic hard-rock sound that the band had in the eighties. The songs have big melodic choruses and are thick with lots of guitar and keyboards. Johnnie is singing better than ever and I think fans will love this one. I am very excited“. And so is the label, that is planning to release the new album within the end of the summer 2008.

After weeks of online speculation suggesting the band was on the brink of collapse, the founding members of Velvet Revolver — guitarists Slash and Dave Kushner, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum — officially sent lead singer Scott Weiland packing Tuesday. The rumors of a Velvet Revolver split began soon after Weiland’s onstage announcement two weeks ago — during a gig in Glasgow, Scotland — that the crowd in attendance that evening were witnessing something very special: the last-ever Velvet Revolver tour.Velvet Revolver announced their decision to fire Weiland in a press release issued just as the rockers were playing the last notes of their final performance with the Stone Temple Pilots frontman in Amsterdam. Slash sited Weiland’s lack of commitment, “increasingly erratic onstage behavior and personal problems” as reasons for the dismissal. There is still no word on whether the band plans to continue with a new singer.Surprisingly, an entire night passed without Weiland responding — but really, it wasn’t a question of if he would issue his own retort, but when. In an e-mail sent exclusively to MTV News Wednesday morning, Weiland fired back at his erstwhile bandmates, and pulled no punches in his attack of the Revolver.”After reading the comment by Duff, Matt, Dave and the illustrious ‘Guitar Hero,’ Saul Hudson, a.k.a. Slash, I find it humorous that the so-called four ‘founding members’ of Velvet Revolver, better known to themselves as ‘the Project’ before I officially named the band, would decide to move on without me after I had already claimed the group dead in the water on March 20 in Glasgow,” Weiland explained. “In response to Slash’s comment regarding my commitment [to the band], I have to say it is a blatant and tired excuse to cover up the truth. The truth of the matter is that the band had not gotten along on multiple levels for some time. On a musical level, there were moments of joy, inspiration, fun … at times. But let’s not forget the multiple trips to rehab every member of the band had taken (with the exception of one member — no need to mention his name).
“Personally speaking, I choose to look forward to the future and performing with a group of friends I have known my entire life, people who have always had my back,” Weiland continued. “This also speaks to my commitment to my music and my fellow bandmates in [Stone Temple Pilots] and to the fans who I feel would much rather watch a group of musicians who enjoy being together as opposed to a handful of discontents who at one time used to call themselves a gang.”
In conclusion, Weiland warned fans not to be “fooled by veiled trickery,” and even wished Velvet Revolver his best. “Good hunting, lads — I think Sebastian Bach would be a fantastic choice.”
Now, Weiland will turn his energies to the re-formed Stone Temple Pilots, who are expected to reveal details of a full-scale summer tour during a news conference next week. As for Velvet Revolver’s future, Slash has said in a number of recent interviews that there would be a third LP from the band, and that Weiland’s characterization of the band’s European tour as its last was simply untrue.

VELVET REVOLVER founding members Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner announced today (Tuesday, April 1) that they are parting ways with singer Scott Weiland. “This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn’t 100% committed to either,” said Slash in a press release. “Among other things, his increasingly erratic onstage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on.”
Slash hinted in a recent interview that the band might carry on without Weiland, who announced onstage in Glasgow two weeks ago that fans were watching the “last tour” by the group. Weiland and drummer Matt Sorum proceeded to get into a public war of words online, fueling speculation that the band was splitting apart. But Slash told Classic Rock magazine, “Obviously I’m very aware of everything that’s going on. The only thing I can add to that is, in contrast to what Scott says, there will be a VELVET REVOLVER after this tour.” When asked if Weiland would continue as the singer, Slash added with a chuckle, “I have no comment on that.”
Weiland is reuniting with his previous outfit, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, which broke up in 2002. The group has scheduled a press conference in Los Angeles for April 7 where it will announce a full tour of 50 or more dates for the summer and fall in addition to the handful of festival shows already confirmed.
Weiland spent a month in rehab recently, following an arrest for driving under the influence last November and his failure to show up for a VELVET REVOLVER gig at the Sundance Festival in January.
Despite the latest turmoil, bassist Duff McKagan told the U.K.’s Journal Live recently, “VELVET REVOLVER is something that’s going to be around for a long while yet.”

Rush fans can expect some different songs and “surprises” when the Canadian trio hits the road on April 11 — but guitarist Alex Lifeson says, “I’m gonna keep those a secret until then, I think.”Lifeson tells Billboard.com that since the next segment of Rush’s Snakes & Arrows World Tour — which kicks off in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and runs through July 20 — visits a number of cities the group hasn’t played in quite some time, “we thought we should maybe revisit some older songs we’re not playing currently or haven’t been in the last little while. So we changed out a few songs in the set. We’re gonna keep it loose and maybe kind of bounce back and forth.”
Lifeson says the group frequently gets fan requests for specific material. “We see ‘Camera Eye’ come up quite often, ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ and some of the longer songs like that from our mid-period,” he says. Last year’s Snakes & Ladders dates featured rarities such as “Circumstances” and “Entre Nous,” which Rush has never performed live, and are captured on the upcoming “Snakes & Arrows Live,” due April 15.
Lifeson says Rush is also starting to tuck into the video material from the same show last October at Ahoy Rotterdam arena in the Netherlands for a DVD the guitarist says will be out in the late summer or early fall.
“We shot it in HD, and I hear it looks really dramatic,” says Lifeson, who supervised the stereo mix for the CD. The group decided to put the CD out first, he says, because “we wanted to kind of bridge the two halves of the tour with a release so there’s something there, and then we’ll follow up with the live DVD.”
Lifeson says that he and bandmates Geddy Lee and Neil Peart are also thinking a bit about Rush’s next studio album — mostly likely with “Snakes & Arrows” co-producer Nick Raskulinecz — but suspects that will come later rather than sooner.
“I’m guessing that we’re probably going to take a little bit of the break at the end of this tour,” says Lifeson, who’s been updating his Web site with a number of new features he hopes to roll out soon. “I don’t see us really doing much in the way of any new material probably until the spring of next year, and then we’ll see where we go. We generally prefer to just start on that first day and sit down and start jamming; it’s such an exciting moment, and it becomes it’s own living thing. We seem to be much more balanced and a lot happier working that way.”

Multi-platinum hard rock giants, Disturbed, will finally unleash their new album, Indestructible, on June 3rd! The band recently filmed a video for, “Inside the Fire,” the first single from the album, with Nathan “Karma” Cox, who has directed clips for Queens of the Stone Age and HIM among others. Disturbed will kick off their US tour with a series of headlining dates starting April 26th before taking their brand of pummeling metal and dynamic hard rock on the road as part of the “Rockstar Mayhem Tour.” The mega-package tour, conceived by “Warped Tour” founder, Kevin Lyman, and his “Taste of Chaos” partner, John Reese, will start in July and find Disturbed sharing a stage with Slipknot, Dragonforce, Mastodon and several other heavy hitters! Excited to get their new music out to their fans, they’ve also posted the scorching, “Perfect Insanity” as a free download on their official website. This is a re-worked, much heavier version of a song the band recorded early in their career.
Check out the tune Inside the Fire here!!
Nearly a decade after the release of their groundbreaking debut, The Sickness, Disturbed have become one of the most passionate and well-respected bands in the hard-rock universe, a dependable source not only of pummeling riffs and jackhammer beats, but of personal and political insights into our troubled times. Yet success (in the form of three platinum-plus albums, with both Believe and Ten Thousand Fists topping Billboard’s album chart and over nine million albums sold) hasn’t dulled this Chicago-based foursome’s taste for adventure. If anything, Disturbed’s loyal fanbase has pushed the band to newer heights of self-expression. So it makes sense that on the occasion of their fourth album, Indestructible, that frontman David Draiman, guitarist Dan Donegan and drummer Mike Wengren decided to take the reins and produce themselves in the studio.
“Doing three records with Johnny K taught us a tremendous amount,” Draiman says of the industry veteran who helmed The Sickness, Believe and Ten Thousand Fists. “We’re always trying to evolve and try new things and experiment,” adds Donegan. “So this time we wanted to do things a little bit differently.” Wengren says that Indestructible—which the band tracked over three months in Fall 2007 at Chicago’s Groovemaster Recording—afforded the band the “opportunity to prove to ourselves and to everybody else that we could do it.” The result of Disturbed’s experimentation in the studio is the group’s darkest, angriest outing yet. Inspired by two and a half years’ worth of challenging experiences, Draiman told the rest of the band that he was in the mood to purge. Fortunately, they were right there with him.
“We wanted to get back to some of the elements that were maybe lacking on the last two records,” says Donegan. “David’s got a great ability to sing really melodically, but we wanted him to get back to the rhythmic, animalistic, rapid-fire delivery he’s known for. He’s very hard to touch when he does that, and we wanted to give him music to provoke that.”
Indestructible reflects that intensity of emotion across a broad spectrum of songs: “Deceiver” takes to task a former girlfriend of Draiman’s whom he calls “a master of deception.” “Divide” celebrates the will of the individual against the conformity of the masses. In “Haunted,” which Draiman calls a veiled critique of Los Angeles (where he lived for a few years before recently moving back to Chicago), a place of love becomes a nightmare landscape populated by demons masquerading in human form. “Inside The Fire” imagines the devil encouraging the singer to take his own life as a way of rejoining his dead girlfriend. (“Writing this record is the reason I don’t have therapy bills,” Draiman notes.)
Two of the album’s most powerful tracks address the situation in the Middle East, with “Enough” lamenting the causes of war and the suffering it causes, and the title track offering support for the troops “or anyone else looking to strip themselves of fear,” as Draiman says.
Throughout Indestructible, Donegan, Wengren and Moyer back up Draiman’s words with some of the most visceral, sophisticated music they’ve ever created. Donegan says his goal was to increase the dynamics—“to have the highs be higher and the lows be lower”—and to make more cohesive the relationship that exists between guitar, bass and drums and the band’s signature electronics.
“I don’t wanna sound arrogant,” says Wengren with a laugh, “but I think we’ve made the kind of record the industry needs right now. There are not a lot of heavy bands delivering these days. I think our fans—and fans of this genre—will go absolutely nuts for this.” “People never lose their desire for aggressive music,” adds Draiman. “And we’re happy to keep giving it to them.”

“According to Eddie Van Halen’s physician, he is undergoing a battery of comprehensive medical tests to determine a defined diagnosis and recommended medical procedures,” read the release.

A Nervous Wreck opened for The Bulletboys last Thursday night. I have seen this band a few times, in the past. Either my Samuel Adams was distorting my perception, or they were much better than the last time I seen them play live. They had a tight set that included covers of Motley Crue, L.A. Guns, Poison songs and a few of their own original tunes.
The Bulletboys returned to Cincinnati, Ohio’s The Blue Note for the first time in many years. It has been 12 years since I have seen the band perform. Marq Torien is the only original member of the band. I knew this going into the show, so I didn’t expect a whole lot, but I have been a fan of this group for a while, so I came to check out the concert anyway.
The band arrived a little late, as they just drove in from Yonkers, NY, but they were still able to put on a solid show. Marq may be the last original member of the Bulletboys, but he proves to be the most important one. Torien’s voice hasn’t changed one bit since the band’s debut CD from 1989. The band backing him up was very good, and Torien also proved to have some pretty good skills on the six string as well.
The band played a short but tight set that included, Talk To Your Daughter, THC Groove, Rock Candy, For the Love of Money, Hard as a Rock, Hell on My Heels, Kissin’ Kitty, Hang on St. Christopher and the mandatory Smooth Up In Ya.
Torien mentioned during the show, that they will be on the road later this year with…….The Foo Fighters.
I enjoyed this show, and will certainly catch them again this summer when they go back on tour. I got the chance to talk to Marq and the rest of the band, after the show. They seem pretty excited about their new CD coming out this year, and their up and coming tour this summer.
There are a few dates remaining on this short club tour. Don’t miss them when they head your way!
I hope you enjoy the videos below!
Canadian blind rocker Jeff Healey, who uniquely played his guitar flat on his lap, has died of cancer on the eve of his latest album release, his publicist said in a statement.
Healey, 41, died in a Toronto hospital of a rare cancer, retino blastoma, that he had fought since birth and which claimed his eyesight at the age of one.
“Visually, Jeff was an intriguing player to watch, because he played guitar — by any conventional standard — all wrong, with it flat across his lap,” his publicist Richard Flohil told broadcaster CTV Sunday. “But he was a remarkable, a virtuoso player.”
The Jeff Healey Band’s 1988 Grammy-nominated album “See the Light,” which included the hit “Angle Eyes,” sold more than one million copies in the United States.
He played with blues legends B.B. King and Stevie Ray Vaughn, and recorded with George Harrison, Mark Knopfler, and the late Jimmy Rogers.
At the time of his death, he was about to release his first rock-blues album in eight years, “Mess of Blues.” The CD will be released in March and April in North America and Europe, respectively.
Last year, Healey had surgery to remove the cancer from his legs, and later from both lungs. He also underwent radiation treatment and chemotherapy.
The band Strikeforce has been confirmed along with more rumored acts including: Keel, Harraz, Sunday night headliner “Motley Crue“, Bret Michaels, Warrant, L.A. Guns (Paul Black), Jackyl, Tora Tora, Krokus, Black N Blue, Vixen, Grim Reaper, Asphalt Valentine, Triumph and White Lion!
The official announcement is Tuesday March 4th, at 4 P.M. Stay Tuned!!

Come the summer hordes of front-room axe-wielding wannabes will now be trying their hand at this riff heavy classic from their debut 100,000 selling album ‘Rise’.
The search started with music companies at the recent Midem conference putting forward their bands for possible inclusion. Out of the hundreds of hopefuls, 20 were selected by Activision at a conference ‘Listening Session’, where the tracks were played to an esteemed panel consisting of leading worldwide industry executives.
Says James Cassidy, UK head of Alberts, “This is a tremendous honour and privilege for both The Answer and the Alberts label. With a new album due later this year we look forward to taking the band to a whole new level of international success”
Elsewhere, The Answer’s international success continues to build and after a great year in Japan, they were voted as the No.2 Best New Artist 2007 in Player Magazine’s readers pole. The No.1 is a domestic act, therefore rendering The Answer effectively the No.1 international band for Best New Artist’ ahead of KT Tunstall, Mika and The Fratellis! Not bad for four lads from Northern Ireland who without radio support have built a worldwide reputation like no other debut act.
2007 was an incredible year for The Answer who supported Aerosmith, the Rolling Stones and The Who to name but a few. With their profile continuing to grow and with a new album currently being written, 2008 will see them reach the dizzying heights of superstardom that they deserve.
“It’s all here: fretboard-shredding solos, jet engine vocals, a riff which will propel the internal Beavis and Butthead of anyone with warm blood into devil’s horn salutes. Marvellous.”

FILTER is back.
After a five-year hiatus and a successful run with Army of Anyone, RICHARD PATRICK has reclaimed his legacy with FILTER for ANTHEMS FOR THE DAMNED, due out this May.
Produced by Josh Abraham (Slayer, 30 Seconds to Mars, Velvet Revolver, Staind, Courtney Love), PATRICK calls ANTHEMS FOR THE DAMNED his “howl in the night,” a harsh indictment of civilization that doesn’t exclude himself from its vision of a world falling apart.
The album’s first single “Soldiers of Misfortune” will be released later this month. PATRICK describes the soaring anthem–with its U2/Bowie flavor and stacked backdrop of buzzing electric guitars–as a “sardonic anti-war/pro-troops song.” The first-person narrative was inspired by a letter from a FILTER fan who had enlisted in the Army reserves to get his college tuition paid; in his final year of college, he was shipped off to Iraq where he died from a rocket attack and small arms fire after just a few days of duty.
FILTER will preview tracks from ANTHEMS FOR THE DAMNED alongside such FILTER classics as “Hey Man, Nice Shot,” “Take a Picture” and others when they hit the road for special California club shows next month. The band will follow the shows with additional U.S. shows just prior to the album’s release, mixing headlining shows, festival appearances and radio shows.
ANTHEMS FOR THE DAMNED features such collaborators as guitarist/songwriter John 5, guitarist Wes Borland and drummer Josh Freese and marks FILTER’s first release in five years since The Amalgamut. Pointed and passionate, the new album traces PATRICK’s own anger and shame with the state of things, from the intense alternative industrial blast of “The Take,” “What’s Next” and “Hatred is Contagious,” the ultimate resignation of “Kill the Day” and “Lie After Lie” to the tentative hope expressed by “Only You” and the ambient soundscape of the closing “Can Stop This.”

MEGADETH frontman DAVE MUSTAINE has big news for metal fans: GIGANTOUR is back, and MEGADETH has a new guitarist. The third installment of GIGANTOUR–the acclaimed traveling heavy music festival launched in 2005 by MUSTAINE–will kick off April 12 in Denver, CO with headliner MEGADETH, Scandinavian death metal band IN FLAMES, Finland’s CHILDREN OF BODOM, Arizona’s modern extreme JOB FOR A COWBOY and Oakland, CA heavy power trio HIGH ON FIRE all confirmed. The 29-date trek will criss-cross North America and wraps May 22 in Phoenix , AZ.
MUSTAINE sums up the philosophy behind GIGANTOUR, hailed by Revolver magazine as “the mother of all shred-fests” : “If the bands and the fans are treated well, then the entertained and the entertainers go home happy–it’s a win-win situation.” Since its inception in 2005, GIGANTOUR has galvanized bands that emphasize true musicianship and virtuosity, offering them a new opportunity to showcase their talents. “I think that in a small way, we are cleaning up the environment of crappy bands,” he says, laughing. “All of the people that really love this kind of music know that they can count on these bands to deliver the goods this year.”
In other MEGADETH news, the group has officially welcomed new guitarist CHRIS BRODERICK (Nevermore, Jag Panzer) to the band after parting ways with Glen Drover–which was hinted at back in November. “I’ve noticed [on the Internet] that people are pissed with me over the way things were handled with Glen quitting the group,” says MUSTAINE, “but they’re gonna be pissed even more when they hear how fierce we are with Chris! Megadeth is playing at a new level.” BRODERICK will make his live debut with MEGADETH February 4 in Finland, where the group–guitarist/singer MUSTAINE, guitarist BRODERICK, drummer SHAWN DROVER and JAMES LOMENZO on bass–is kicking off a long string of international dates which wrap March 14 in Bangalore, India. The full itinerary, including GIGANTOUR UK dates, is below. To see BRODERICK in action, check out http://www.chrisbroderick.com/video/fiveoctave.html .
GIGANTOUR features bands hand-picked by MUSTAINE with a sharp eye on true musicianship and a heavy focus on top-notch guitarists. The first incarnation in 2005 included Dream Theater, Fear Factory, Nevermore, Life of Agony, Symphony X, Dry Kill Logic and Bobaflex, while the 2006 trek included Lamb of God, Opeth, Arch Enemy, Overkill, Into Eternity, Sanctity and The Smashup. The trek always offers a strong connection between fans and musicians.
