2 Warrant – Rockaholic (2011)
I have been anxious to hear new Warrant music, with Robert Mason on vocals ever since I first saw them play live with Mason singing back in 2009.
When the band debuted a couple of their new songs at the M3 Rock Festival in 2010, I knew we were going to have another cool Warrant album on our hands before long.
With no surprise, Rockaholic has exceeded my expectations by far.
There are several great tunes on Rockaholic, and way too many to talk about individually. The songs that are amongst my favorites are “Sex Ain’t Love”, “Dusty’s Revenge”, Life’s A Song”,”Show Must Go On” and “The Last Straw”.
This is easily Warrant’s strongest album since Dog Eat Dog, and surpasses the previous effort Born Again with Jamie St. James by a mile!
Robert Mason is a fantastic vocalist, and some may argue, “Yeah, but he ain’t Jani Lane”, but quite honestly, I think he is a better hard rock singer overall. That isn’t a dig against Jani, I like him a lot too. I believe Robert Mason has the voice that is going to keep Warrant around for many more years. Rockaholic is great beginning to the Robert Mason era of Warrant, and is a CD you should be checking out!

1 BRAND NEW WARRANT VIDEO “LIFE’S A SONG” AND EPK REVEALED; “ROCKAHOLIC” DUE OUT MAY 13TH IN EUROPE AND MAY 17th IN NORTH AMERICA VIA FRONTIERS RECORDS
The first single from Warrant’s forthcoming album ROCKAHOLIC and its companion video have just been revealed. “Life’s A Song” will impact at Rock radio this month and finds Warrant returning to their trademark melodically-infused hard rock sound. The video for “Life’s A Song” takes a look at the bands long and winding road in the world of music and can be viewed below.

ROCKAHOLIC is due out on May 13th n Europe and May 17th in North America via Frontiers Records. At the helm is mega-producer Keith Olsen (Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Scorpions) and the album is mixed by Pat Regan (Kiss, Deep Purple, Ted Nugent). 1 HARD “ROCKAHOLICS” WARRANT PREPARE NEW ALBUM AND SIGN TO FRONTIERS RECORDS
Frontiers Records is proud to announce the signing of Warrant, one of the most popular and successful American hard rock bands to come out of the Los Angeles musical scene. The band is currently in the studio recording a brand new album under the direction of Keith Olsen (Scorpions, Whitesnake and Night Ranger). The album tentatively titled “ROCKAHOLIC” is scheduled for a May 2011 Worldwide release.
Jerry Dixon commented, “The last few years has been like holding in a big “secret“ from the world and now we get to share it.
