0 Violent Divine – In Harm’s Way (Release Year – 2009)
Swedish hard rockers, Violent Divine are back with their sophomore effort, “In Harm’s Way”. This CD was mixed and produced by Hammerfall guitarist Pontus Norgren.
If you didn’t catch Violent Divine’s awesome debut disc you missed one of the better releases of 2006. I am happy to say “In Harm’s Way” carries on where the debut record left off. Much like the first disc, this CD has a bunch of songs that could be easily be radio singles.
If you aren’t completely hooked after hearing “Blackheart”, “Love is Divine”, “Happy Ever Afterlife” or “Vampire Empire” (my current favorites), there are plenty of other cool tunes on this disc to get you rocking. Violent Divine have mastered their sound which blends the big hooks of 80’s metal, and the modern guitar tones of today’s hard rock acts. With a sound this cool, Violent Divine are easily one of the best new bands on the scene today. With a little luck, this disc will bring Violent Divine a great deal of success.
If you like your rock hard and heavy, check out “In Harm’s Way”. If you are a fan of bands like Hard Core Superstar, and Skid Row, you have to check these guys out. I am enjoying this CD, and I think you will too.

Swedish metallers VIOLENT DIVINE today release their new single ‘Blackheart’, lifted from their upcoming new album, In Harm’s Way. The band have also released a video for ‘Blackheart’, which can be seen below.
Violent Divine will release In Harm’s Way (Misty Recordings) on January 31st. The album is mixed and produced by Pontus Norgren, guitarist of Swedish metal act HAMMERFALL. It was a natural choice to work together with a highly acclaimed sound engineer and musician like Pontus Norgren, with his long experience of both live and studio and who’s previously worked with bands like EUROPE and YNGWIE MALMSTEEN.
Violent Divine and Pontus Norgren share a lot of musical influences like OZZY OSBOURNE, MÖTLEY CRÜE and ACCEPT, just to mention a few. The new album In Harm’s Way is a massive hard rock album, mixing heavy metal, glam and classic hard rock, featuring 12 strong tracks in the true spirit of Violent Divine.

Swedish rockers VIOLENT DIVINE will release their new album, “In Harm’s Way”, on January 31, 2009 via Misty Recordings. 1 Violent Divine To Give Album as a Free Download Today Only!!
Sweden’s VIOLENT DIVINE will give away its entire self-titled debut album from 2006 as a free digital download. The band says: “We want to give something back to the fans and also take this opportunity to reach some of those who haven’t heard VIOLENT DIVINE yet.”
The free download will be available for 24 hours only on May 1 from www.violentdivine.se.
VIOLENT DIVINE’s video for the song “Levitate” can be viewed below. Like the band’s previous clips, the video was directed by Erik Andersson.
Commented singer Michael Ahlstrom: “While ‘Levitate’ in itself is a love song, the video adds an evil twist to the main subject. Angelica was the obvious choice for the leading role as the stalker, since she’s been following the band from the very beginning.”
