JORN – Worldchanger
Day 4 of the 10 Days of JORN brings us to Jorn Lande’s 2nd disc as a solo artist, Worldchanger.
Worldchanger also features Tore Moren (Rain) on Guitars, Sid Ringsby (TNT) on Bass, and Jan Aksel “Hellhammer” (Mayhem) on Drums.
To me, Worldchanger is the finest piece of music Jorn Lande has ever recorded. This CD is one of my all time favorite discs and gets regular play to this day.
Worldchanger moves Jorn one step closer to mainstream acceptability while maintaining the heaviness and progressive feel that Jorn Lande has become known for. I don’t find it surprising at all that Jorn chose to re-release 6 of the tracks from Worldchanger on the January 2007 disc, The Gathering.
One word describes this disc, stellar!
I could give you a song by song breakdown of Worldchanger, but this is one instance where I will let the music speak for itself. I have included 3 videos from Worldchanger below. Go check them out, and then go buy this! You can thank me later! 🙂
This disc is essential for all hard rock and Jorn Lande Fans. It will appeal to most Whitesnake fans as well. This is the only disc that I have reviewed that has received a perfect score from me. Yes, it is that good!

Worldchanger and Starfire are the best Jorn’s solo albums.
Worldchanger is the first Jorn project where I really got into every song. The is some pretty amazing work by JL.
I just listened to this last night on headphones Trekman, and “Captured” is one trippy song, lol. I dig it.
God! So much Jorn! So many choice’s. I hate picking favorites. Its easier for me to say which song I dont like on this one. And its not that I dont like it, I just think that “Captured” is too mellow and “radio friendly”. For me anyway. I like Heavy tracks like Tunger Knivur, Glow In The Dark, Bridges Will Burn with Jorns soaring and powerful vocals. The bluesy feeling House Of Cards, Worldchanger’s Proggy/Melodic feel and Christine is just a fun, feel good song. Rarely do I absolutly rave over every song on a CD. This one was close.
The 2nd best Jorn solo album in my opinon. 7 out of the 9 tracks are Jorn classics!!
This is the 1st Jorn album i bought, and after hearing it i now have bought 17.
