Guitarz from Marz is the 2005 independent release by Tesla Lead Guitarist, Frank Hannon. This is a disc for Hard Rock Guitar lovers everywhere. I picked this disc up at the Winger / Frank Hannon show the other night after hearing Frank perform 3 songs off of this disc live, Chain Reaction, Eye of the Mind, and Electric Warriors. All three songs are damn good, but this isn’t all that is on Guitarz from Marz. Some of my other favorites are RE-Evolution, Stop The War, the Hendrix flavored Angel, and the Stevie Ray Vaughn like Touch of Magic.
Frank Hannon handles the lead vocals and the lead guitar on this disc. He is not as good of a vocalist as he is a guitar player, but he does do an admirable job. I have heard many vocalists far worse than him. The music is so good on Guitarz from Marz, that most hard rock fans are going to love this. This disc is a must own for all Hard Rock , Instrumental Guitar and Tesla fans. Don’t let this disc pass you by.
The only place I am aware that you get this disc is from Frank Hannon.com You can also hear the track Electric Warrior, at Frank’s Myspace page. I have included some videos for Guitarz from Marz below. Check it out!

I love it when a bunch of my interests all come together in one movie. Ghost Rider is full of Comic and Horror goodness, with a dash of Heavy Metal for good measure. Way back in 1982, I bought my first comic book. It was a Ghost Rider comic with a face value of 60 cents. It was the Ghost Rider vs. the Carnival of Crime. I remember that book well.
Needless to say, it was a start to long time hobby, and an ongoing need to see comic based movies. My wife has been hearing about this film for a year, so she knew she wasn’t getting out of this one, so off we went to catch the Ghost Rider on its debut night.
Some may say that I am not critical enough regarding comic movies, and some may say I am too harsh (just ask me about the Hulk Movie…lol).
Anyway, my take on Ghost Rider? It was a pretty kick ass flick! This movie followed the formula of the first Spiderman movie. Show the origin, and move into the action, with a little bit of drama thrown in for good measure. I thought Nicolas Cage did a pretty good job as Johnny Blaze. Sam Elliott’s part was enjoyable as well. Eva Mendes must have been throw into this role to be the movie’s T&A, but its all good.
The special effects for Ghost Rider were excellent, and I don’t think this movie leaves anything for the comic fans out there to be upset about. This character and movie was handled very well, and is one of the better comic based movies I have seen. I smell the fire and brimstone of a second Ghost Rider movie, if this one sells enough tickets. Based on what I saw tonight, it would be a shame if you didn’t catch this on the big screen.
