Pennsylvania-Based Rock Outfit to Herald Release With Full-Tilt, Non-Stop Live Schedule, Including Major Tours Alongside Shinedown, Saliva, and Black Stone Cherry; “HALESTORM” Arrives in Stores and Online on April 28th

Atlantic Records has announced the upcoming release of the self-titled first album from Halestorm. The new rock outfit’s full-length debut — which includes the single, “I Get Off” — will be available in stores and via all online retailers on April 28th.

“HALESTORM” will be available at the band’s live shows and for pre-order via the Pennsylvania-based band’s official website, www.halestormrocks.com, and official MySpace page, www.myspace.com/halestorm, beginning on February 24th. All fans pre-ordering “HALESTORM” will immediately receive a digital download of the complete album with the option to receive the physical copy on the release date.

Produced by Howard Benson (Daughtry, My Chemical Romance, Flyleaf), “HALESTORM” is an explosive collection of infectious hard rock anthems, a fiery flurry of sexy hooks and rough and tumble grooves. Steering this runaway train is dynamic singer/guitarist Lzzy Hale, who brings a hypnotic intensity to such tracks as the sensual “I Get Off” and “Bet U Wish U Had Me Back.”

“This album has been a long time coming,” says Lzzy. “There’s been a lot of dirty work that went into making it. Creatively, we went to rock ‘n’ roll college through the experience. It was crazy, raw, down and dirty. Our blood, sweat, and tears went into this thing.”

Halestorm has slated an all-out tour schedule to herald the album’s release. The dates kick off on February 19th with a performance alongside Avenged Sevenfold at Indianapolis’ Egyptian Room (see itinerary below). From there, the band will take to the road alongside Shinedown, beginning February 25th at The Music Farm in Charleston, South Carolina, and then running through an April 4th tour finale at Hampton Beach, New Hampshire’s Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom.

Formed in 1998 by Lzzy and her brother, drummer Arejay Hale, Halestorm has made its bones as a major league hard rock outfit via countless North American gigs alongside such like-minded artists as Shinedown, Seether, Flyleaf, and Trapt. 2006 saw the release of Halestorm’s debut Atlantic EP, “ONE AND DONE,” which expertly captured the intensity and energy of the band’s live show.

So I went to see Halestorm in Rocester NY (opening for Shinedown), and WOW! I haven’t heard a band this good in a long time. Lead singer Lzzy’s vocals can best be described as a mix of Ann Wilson and Amy Lee, with plenty of Lzzy in there as well. She and the rest of the bad definitely have their own sound, but capture the feel of timeless rock n’ roll. If you like the Smashing Pumpkins, Evanescence, the Foo Fighters, etc, you will LOVE Halestorm! It was also awesome to meet them after their set. In addition to being kick-a** rockers, they are also fantastic people who are very down to earth and appreciative of their fans!
