CHICKENFOOT – the band which features former VAN HALEN singer Sammy Hagar, guitarist JOE SATRIANI, former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith – have announced the global release of their debut album Chickenfoot. The album will be released by earMUSIC in Germany on June 5th and in the UK on Monday June 8th. The album will be released by Best Buy in the US on Sunday, June 7th.
The album, hailed as the most intense rock’n’roll album since LED ZEPPELIN, coincides with a European tour that will consist of outdoor festivals, including Montreaux, Switzerland, and Bospop, Holland, plus various intimate indoor rock shows including the London O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on June 25th.

The debut album will be packaged in heat sensitive artwork (pictured), which means when you put hour hand on the CD inlay, photos of the band members will be revealed behind the Chickenfoot band logo. “People have this idea of what this band is about, or what Sammy Hagar is about as a lyricist and a vocalist,” says Joe Satriani. “We manage to get each guy to up his game in a non-confrontational way. When I play with Chickenfoot, I want to give them more all the time, and I don’t hold anything back. I think the rest of the guys feel the same way.”
“Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers is from Detroit and he can play the hell out of funk, but he’s a rocker,” says Sammy Hagar. “He plays hard and he’s balanced. Chickenfoot wouldn’t exist without his groove.”
Chickenfoot tracklisting: ‘Avenida Revolution’, ‘Soap On A Rope’, ‘Sexy Little Thing’, ‘Oh Yeah’, ‘Runnin’ Out’, ‘Get It Up’, ‘Down the Drain’, ‘My Kinda Girl’, ‘Learning to Fall’, ‘Turnin’ Left’, ‘Future In The Past’.

Hollywood hair metal dreamers Steel Panther have launched an all out attack on the pop mainstream with their newest video “Death to All But Metal”. Asserting their alpha male dominance with plenty of hairspray, spandex, and sick stage moves, Steel Panther have taken shots against anyone NOT flying the hair metal flag. Kanye West, Madonna, and 50-Cent are among the superstars targeted by lead singer Michael Starr’s wrath in the clip.
“Death to All But Metal” is an homage to Van Halen’s classic “Hot For Teacher” video and also features a cameo by smart mouth comedienne Sarah Silverman as the school principal.
Steel Panther’s new album, Feel The Steel, hits stores on 6/9 (how fitting is that date?!)

Frontiers Records is excited to announce the release of the new album from SAINT DEAMON “Pandeamonium” on May 22nd in Europe and June 9th in the USA.
Named after a fictitious ghost rider called S. Deamon, and with a nod towards the contrast between the heavenly/diabolical feel of the name, the Saint Deamon was put together in 2006 by drummer Ronny Milianowicz (ex Dionysus and songwriter for Primal Fear, Cans and Place Vendome among others), together with bass player Nobby Noberg (also ex Dionysus), guitar virtuoso Toya Johansson and the golden voice of the Norwegian Jan Thore GrefstadIn Shadows Lost From the Brave”, a record that garnered great acclaim from both critics and fans. (ex Highland Glory). The band debuted in early 2008 with a stunning album “
Saint Deamon toured extensively in support of the release during 2008, with gigs in Sweden, Norway, Austria, Italy, England and USA appearing in some of the world’s finest metal festivals like Prog Power US and Bloodstock UK creating a vast buzz being one of the hardest working band in the scene.
Just over a year after the release of their debut album, Saint Deamon are back with a strong head wind in their sails with the worthy follow up “Pandeamonium”. Produced by two of the world’s most famous Heavy Metal producers, Roy Z (Judas Priest, Halford, Helloween, Bruce Dickinson, who also co-wrote the album’s title track with the band) & Jens Bogren (Opeth, Paradise Lost, Amon Amarth), “Pandeamonium” shows a well oiled Metal machine that has no limits in terms of inspiration, musical direction and focus, dedicated members or professionalism. “The chance to work with Roy was actually pure luck”, explains founder and drummer Ronny Milianowicz “He had been renting our studio for 4 weeks to work with the new Wolf album and I was just there to brew some coffee, drive his equipment here and there to different recording places and to make his time in Sweden as pleasant as possible. But after 4 weeks together we became friends and I really mean FRIENDS, you know that kinda friend you can call in the middle of the night if you really need to. So one night at the local bar the night before his flight were supposed to go back he decided to stay, and this after being 4 weeks in our studio already! And with Jens we have the solid ground that never let us down and that make us perform that little extra out of every take in the studio. I hardly think we will ever work without him”.
Ronny enthuses: “I really believe that our fans can hear the true passion and brotherhood in the production of Pandeamonium”.
Final Tracklisting of “Pandeamonium” includes: Deception; The Only One Sane; Pandeamonium; Eyes of the Devil; A Day to Come; Way Home; Fallen Angel; The Deamon Within; Oceans of Glory; Fear In a Fragile Mind. Also includes Pandeamonium (videoclip)
So prepare to sail on, on the Metal seas, with Saint Deamon and their crew into the “Pandeamonium”!
It’s hard to believe that after debuting in 1992 “Leaving The End Open” is only Hardline’s third studio album. Hardline’s debut “Double Eclipse” is an outstanding album that I still listen to regularly and is as viable today as it was 17 years ago. Now while “II” was decent it did not come close to comparing to “Double Eclipse”. So needless to say I was a little apprehensive when I got “Leaving The End Open” especially knowing that neither Neal Schon or Joey Gioeli were involved in the project. But Hardline, which is now made up of Johnny Gioeli (Vocals), Josh Ramos (Guitars), Michael T. Ross (Keyboards), Jamie Brown (Bass), and Atma Anur (Drums), put my apprehension somewhat to rest when I heard “Falling Free” the second track on “Leaving The End Open” and followed it up with “Start Again” because the one thing I thought was missing on “II” was strong songs the band had found again.
“Leaving The End Open” has a good mix of rock, mid-tempo, and ballads and while not every song is a winner, there are enough here to make me want to keep listening to the album and give the whole album a chance to grow on me. Besides the two previously mentioned songs “Pieces of the Puzzle”, “Before This”, “Give In To This Love”, and “Leaving The End Open” are all strong songs and given the chance such songs as “Voices”, “Bittersweet”, and “In This Moment” will probably grow on me too.
I am gaining new respect for Josh Ramos as a guitarist and I have always thought Gioeli has a great voice and he doesn’t disappoint here, he is definitely the star of the band. The rest of the band are all solid performers with Anur standing out among the three. Hardline really shines on the mid-tempo songs here but what is missing on this album and “II” are the attitude filled dirty groove songs such as “Takin’ Me Down”, “Bad Taste”, “Dr. Love”, “Rhythm From A Red Car”, and “Hot Cherie” that were loaded on “Double Eclipse”, that is the Hardline I know and love.
While “Leaving The End Open” is definitely better than “II” it still falls way short of the expectations set 17 years ago with the release of “Double Eclipse”.

For the better part of the summer and fall of 2009, Damon will be returning to the Alice Cooper Band for tour dates in the U.S., Russia, Europe, and Australia. Whiskey Falls will be focusing exclusively on writing and recording and preparing to release new material in various packages throughout the year. “I’m looking forward to playing with Alice again, and am even more excited about the new material that we are writing and producing in Whiskey Falls”, says Damon. After a successful tour with The World’s Toughest Rodeo, the Whiskey Falls guys are grateful for the huge fan base they have built up and want to get their new songs out as soon as possible. Continuing to operate independently and without a major record label, WF will perform select dates throughout the year, depending on scheduling. Updates will be posted here as they come.
