Europe have released three albums since their return in 2004 but it was 2009’s Last Look At Eden album that starting turning heads in the mainstream again. They’re headling a tour in the UK this month so front man Joey Tempest checks in to chew the fat about this album, and THAT song.
Tokyo Blade are one of British heavy metal’s originals. From their debut in 1983 the band have been through many line-up changes and produced ten studio albums. Their latest, Thousand Men Strong was produced by legendary Chris Tsangarides (Ozzy, Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy) and is due for release in March and features the original line-up with the addition of new vocalist Nicolaj Ruhnow. Guitarist Andy Boulton shares tales of woe from the early days and how great it was to get back in the studio with the old gang.
David Rock Feinstein is front man for the band The Rods, was in ELF with Ronnie James Dio who also happened to be his cousin. Dave’s recent solo album Bitten By The Beast features one of Ronnie Dio’s last known recordings and he tells us how it came to be there.
Finally we have the first part of our interview with Grammy-nominated producer Chris Tsangarides.
