Chris Tsangarides Talks About Producing the New Tokyo Blade Album, “Thousand Men Strong”

Tokyo Blade’s new studio album Thousand Men Strong is due for release on March 18th 2011 and for those who’ve already heard samples it’s clear that unlike for previous releases, no corners have been cut in the recording process.

Determined to give their patient fans the best listening experience possible, the band enlisted the services of legendary Grammy-nominated producer Chris Tsangarides. His pedigree in Heavy Metal circles is unquestionable with artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore, Ian Gillan, Helloween, Killing Joke and Yngwie Malmsteen to name just a few, trusting in his skills and vast experience at the desk.

However even great producers need the essential raw materials before they can begin to weave their magic as CT explains.

“Working with a band like Blade is the real deal only this time I think they’ve got it right. Great songs, great performances and finally a great vocalist joining forces shows what a producer and a band that’s on the same page can do!”

“We’ve made a record we can all be proud of!”

Praise indeed.

The current Tokyo Blade line-up includes four of the five original members, Andy Boulton (guitar), Andy Wrighton (bass), John Wiggins (guitar) and Steve Pierce (drums) and is completed by powerhouse vocalist Nicolaj Ruhnow.
