The riff actually has a real modern country feel to it, which isn’t surprising given their recent team-ups with Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift, plus given the fact that their old partner Mutt Lange may have changed the country paradigm with Shania Twain, pushing modern country towards a rockier sound… a… Def Leppard sound?
Sorry if certain folks aren’t happy with Leps “new” sound. But, the band have the right to evolve and grow (age?) with the rest uv uz. Look at Bon Jovi, The Stones, and Queen! It’s great to hear a strong voice in rock with Joe and the guys taking us on another journey and still rockin’ after more than 30 years together! Good on ya’, boys!;>
Great song!! Love the way they mixed their sound with an updated feel.
I think the song is pretty good actually. I like the way Elliott’s voice has aged, and there are some nice hooks in this song. I do wish it had a guitar solo, but other than that, it’s not bad really. is it another Wasted or High and dry? No, but these guys aren’t teenagers anymore.
Horrible song. I wish they would get back to their roots. This is terrible.
