I have been a fan of STRYPER since the first YABA EP ,my sisters boyfriend was their publicist, so I got all kinds of STRYPER stuff, they really helped out my relationship with Jesus Christ, the new CD is really good only wish it was original material

“God” is quite the inspirational Stryper song… no doubt about that. A fabulous album of covers. I can understand Frank Furter’s point about the album cover… I’ve chalked it up to being “old school”. \m/

I’ve never been a huge Stryper fan, but I do know they can bring it when they want to. I love covers and bought this a few weeks ago. I was STUNNED. It’s excellent. His vocals take a bit of getting used to, they’re much softer than many of the songs were done originally.

I think the classic “I’m The One” from VH1 is worth the price of admission alone. It’s spot on, and the production is excellent. But really, I was surprised at the choices they recorded. Other than the obvious “Run To The Hills” (why would you record that?), it’s an excellent disc and one of the better purchases I’ve made lately.

I don’t have the same excitement over the new song God as you do, but it wasn’t bad. I need to give it a few more listens.

Oh yeah, one more complaint, what’s up with the album cover? It looks like a high-school art project. I honestly believe this hurts sales. People won’t take it seriously. Shoulda just went with a solid color cover with the Stryper logo on it or something. Bad decision on an otherwise great disc.
