Check out our Photo Gallery from the Danger Danger set at the M3 Rock Festival on Saturday, May 14th!
As we strolled in Saturday morning for M3, we could hear Modern Superstar finishing up their set with their tunes “Hollywood Dirty”, and their cool cover of the Steelheart tune, “We All Die Young”. We didn’t make it to the main stage for Modern Superstar but did made sure we were there for Danger Danger.
It has been ages since I have seen Danger Danger perform live. The last time I saw the band play, it was 1989 in Cincinnati. I won tickets and backstage passes from the now defunct satellite based radio station Z-Rock (remember them?). Andy Timmons was the guitarist in Danger Danger when I saw them the first time. Rob Marcello has taken over the lead guitar spot since then.
I can’t even begin to tell you how good it was to see Danger Danger again after all of these years. The band is still really good live, and singer Ted Poley sounds exactly the same. Poley really seemed to be excited to be there, and ran into the stands much to the approval of many fans. Rob Marcello does an excellent job on lead guitar.
Although Danger Danger’s set was a short one, they gave us a cool set with all of the popular tunes including: “Boys Will Be Boys”, “Monkey Business”, “Hearts on the Highway”, “Don’t Blame It on Love”, “Rock America”, “I Still Think About You”, “Bang Bang”, and “Naughty Naughty”.
Danger Danger doesn’t perform live very often, so hopefully they be invited to return for another M3 appearance in the future.
To commemorate the reissues of Ozzy Osbourne‘s classic 1st and 2nd solo albums, Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman, Sony Legacy is giving you the chance to win a custom Randy Rhoads JS32T Jackson guitar!
Long revered by rock fans around the world, these two albums created a template for hard rock in the 1980’s and beyond as they were marked by the ground-breaking and historic union ofOzzy and the late guitar hero Randy Rhoads.
