It is an honor to be doing shows with them. This is gonna rock!!”

It’s a tour like this that allows us to dig a little bit deeper into our catalogue and play a few songs that KANSAS fans haven’t heard for a while. It’s gonna be a lot of fun!”

Columbus OH rockers, One Pretty Minute, release their follow up to The System, entitled Addict.
6 emotionally inspired originals written by Bill Morales (Bass / Vocals) David Adams (Guitar / Vocals) Jeffrey Tayama (Guitar) and Andy Kuhar (Drums), Addict focuses on relationships, addictions, and recovery.
Formed in 2008, One Pretty Minute (OPM as they are affectionately known by their fans) is an energetic hard rock band driven by anger, lies, and deception.
The band presents emotional and powerful content backed by driving and aggressive arrangements of active rock and are fast becoming known as one of the hardest working bands in the Columbus music scene. From their modest beginnings as a club band playing to anyone that would listen, to their current status as one of the most called upon support acts for nationally touring bands such as All That Remains, Powerman5000, Taproot, Egypt Central, Trust Company, and Eye Empire to name a few- OPM has climbed the proverbial ladder and proven they are among the top acts in the capital city.
OPM release Addict June 5 on Cincinnati based indie label, Broad Horizon Records and is one of the latest bands to join the ever growing roster at BHR.
Director of Operations, Bob Lung, points out that “we were looking to expand into the Columbus area as a lot of good bands are located there right now and logistically it made sense. One Pretty Minute’s name kept popping everytime we spoke to someone about the Columbus market & it just made sense to us. The guys are driven, well versed, and have a proven track record – they can, and do, rock with the best and we are excited to help take them to the next level”. After several months of talking it over, the two parties came to an agreement and BHR will be promoting the new E.P.
Look for it digitally on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, eMusic, Google Play, Spotify, and more.
Plans are in the works to add it to Pandora and Touchtunes Jukeboxes by the end of June.
The CD release party is being held June 8 at O’ Shecky’s Live, 6240 Busch Blvd, Columbus OH 43229 starting at 8pm
Celebrating 25yrs of recording, promoting, and distributing music, Broad Horizon Records is excited to welcome OPM to the BHR family.

Unless you’ve been living under a soft rock, there is no doubt that you’ve heard there is a huge, double-bill, rock and roll tour heading to a city near you this summer. Kiss will be teaming up with Motley Crue for what looks to be one of the hardest rocking double bills I’ve seen in years. I am looking forward to this amazing hard rock show when they roll into New Jersey this September. It’s going to be an awesome, late summer Friday night of fun and havoc!
Like I do with almost any concert that I attend, I’ve been thinking about what the setlists could be for each band this year. Will they stick to only the hits? Are they going to pull out some early classics? Will there be a surprise or two that no one expects? I’m always anxious to hear some deep cuts whenever I see either of these bands live, and this year is no exception. After giving it much thought, I’ve come up with a list of songs that would make me wet myself if they were performed live. Here are the five songs that I would love to hear from Motley Crue.
Sumthin’ For Nuthin’ (Girls, Girls, Girls)
Perhaps it’s because it reminds me of the summer before my Freshman year of high school where I played Motley’s Girls, Girls, Girls album nonstop, but “Sumthin’ For Nuthin’” is one of my all time favorite Motley Crue songs. Every time that I hear this song, I go berserker and just have to jump around, sing, dance, and scream. I have never seen Motley Crue perform this song live, and I am not even sure if they ever have performed this song live. It may be a deep pipe dream, but if “Sumthin’ For Nuthin’” gets played this summer, you are going to see one insanely happy fan.
Raise Your Hands To Rock (Theatre Of Pain)
Rarely played on the radio, almost never played live, and all but forgotten in the Motley Crue catalog, “Raise Your Hands To Rock” is one of the Crue’s most underrated songs. With a nifty acoustic intro, some hard pounding Tommy Lee drums, and a slick solo by the great Mick Mars, “Raise Your Hands To Rock” really is an excellent song. Why this song never got more love is beyond me. However, Motley Crue has a chance to fix that and bring this song to the forefront this summer by making it a staple in their show. How incredible would that be?
Without You (Dr. Feelgood)
Yes, I know that “Home Sweet Home” is the ballad that everyone is clamoring for. Yes, I know that “Home Sweet Home” will most likely be played in the encore of the show. Yes, I know that “Home Sweet Home” is a better ballad. Even with all of that being said, there is nothing wrong with the Crue performing two ballads on tour and dusting off “Without You” for a proper performance. I don’t think this song has been played since the Dr. Feelgood tour, and that is a real shame. If Vince can still hit the notes, “Without You” is one of the most powerful songs in the Crue catalog.
Afraid (Generation Swine)
With the exception of Saints Of Los Angeles, Motley Crue seems to have forgotten that they recorded music after Dr. Feelgood. I absolutely hate when bands do this. If you record new music, don’t be afraid to pull it out in concert every once in a while. And while Generation Swine wasn’t the best Crue album ever recorded (it may, in fact, be closer to one of their worst albums) it still contained a few gems. “Afraid” is one of those gems. When I first heard this song back in 1997 I was stoked. I felt that the old Crue was back together and really found their groove. And while the rest of Generation Swine made me re-think that statement, “Afraid” is still a fantastic song that needs to be performed every once in a while. This would be a great tour to make that happen.
New Tattoo (New Tattoo)
As stated above, Motley has forgotten about most songs post Dr. Feelgood. “New Tattoo” is one of those amazing songs that just never got the love it deserved. Yes, it made an appearance on the Red, White, And Crue greatest hits album, but other than that, it has been quite dormant. As a mid-tempo, moderate rock song, New Tattoo would be perfect for the middle of the set, perhaps after a blazing version of “Shout At The Devil” or “Kickstart My Heart.” It would provide the perfect way to let fans catch their breath and enjoy a rare Crue classic. Plus, seeing Mick Mars play slide guitar on this song would be worth the price of admission.
Those are five songs that I would love to see Motley Crue perform this summer. What are your thoughts? What songs would you like to see the Crue dust off for this tour?

British rock legends Tank return with “War Nation”, the highly anticipated follow up to their 2010 album “War Machine”. Guitarists Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans, vocalist Doogie White and bassist Chris Dale are now joined by former Tank member Steve Hopgood on drums.
Check out the track “War Nation” below.
Cliff Evans comments the track: “The song ‘War Nation’ is the title track that opens our new album and sets the scene for what’s to follow. It thunders in with a classic Tank guitar riff, which wouldn’t sound out of place on any of the legendary rock albums of the 80’s, and has a chorus that plants itself firmly in your mind”.
“War Nation” is scheduled for release on June, 4th in Europe and June, 5th in USA (via MVD).
1. War Nation
2. Song For The Dead
3. Hammer And Nails

Tune in to The Discovery Channel’s new hit motorcycle club series, ‘The Devil’s Ride’, next week for ATTIKA 7’s world premiere of select tracks appearing on the band’s upcoming full-length album, Blood Of My Enemies. The episode, featuring a previously recorded live performance with exclusive, never-before-heard tracks, will air on June 5, 2012 at 10pm ET/PT. The series often features ATTIKA 7 guitarist Rusty Coones and will include music from the band’s new album throughout the rest of the season.
ATTIKA 7 and Loudwire.com recently revealed the brand new track, ‘Devil’s Daughter’. Fans can head to Loudwire.com to listen to the track now at this location.
ATTIKA 7’s new album, Blood Of My Enemies, is set for a July 31, 2012 release and features ex-Biohazard vocalist Evan Seinfeld, lead guitarist, notable songwriter and famed (Sons of Anarchy) motorcycle builder Rusty Coones, and bassist Tony Campos, founding member of Static X, who also currently performs in Soulfly, Prong, Possessed, Asesino and Ministry. The band recorded Blood of My Enemies with legendary producer MUDROCK (Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack).
Blood of My Enemies is a brutal slab of unrelenting hard rock, with the initial groundwork laid by Rusty Coones in the confines of a federal penitentiary. It was in this unforgiving environment that he penned the songs that would eventually become the band’s uncompromising debut.

“10.000 Days”, a brand new song from the Denmark-based groove metal band CHAINFIST, can be streamed below. The track was recorded at Six String Studios with Søren Jensen and was mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansenat Hansen Studios.
Jackie has this to say: “It’s time yet another new song from Chainfist. This time we’ll give a badass heavy song called “10K”. It shows the more melodic side of Chainfist, and like “Mass Frustration” we went for a more old-school sound like the good old 90’s. This song got it all, from body bouncing, neck breaking riffs too more melodic and slow breakdowns, you will love this for sure. The song will be featured on the yet no named 2nd cd from Chainfist, due to be recorded this fall 2012. So ladies and gents, we present to you: “10K” aka “10.000 Days” – Play it loud, share it and most of all, break your neck!!”
CHAINFIST, which recently signed a worldwide management deal with Germany’s Rock N Growl Management, consists of the following musicians: Jackie Petersen (vocals), Michael Kopietz (guitar), Thomas Hvisel (guitar), Jesper Heidelbach (drums) and Braca Pedersen (bass).
CHAINFIST is currently recording its second, as-yet-untitled album for a late 2012 release. The new material is described in a press release as “stronger, heavier and even more melodic than the songs on the band’s debut CD.”
Furthermore Chainfist headlines this year the “Knivsbjerg Rock Spectacle Festival 2012” June 2nd 2012 (www.knivsbjerg-rock.com) with Hongo Skulls, More Roar, Clearway, Face Red Lion and Nebcube, so if you’re in Denmark, you should be in for a surprise or two!
British rockers Voodoo Six are excited to announce their Summer 2012 tour schedule which will include a set on Download Festival’s Red Bull Bedroom Stage and support shows across the UK with ex-Dream Theater legend Mike Portnoy’s heavy metal super group Adrenaline Mob.
The dates come following the release of the band’s limited edition EP ‘Falling Knives’ and single of the same name earlier this year, which garnered critical acclaim across the European rock and metal press.
The band have been locked away for the past few months in Iron Maiden’s Steve Harris’ studio writing and recording the material for their new album. Lead singer Luke Purdie comments: “This new material really takes Voodoo Six to a new level and we’ll have more news on that front soon – but for now we’re just so excited to be getting back out on the road again and can’t wait to share a stage with Adrenaline Mob and an incredible Download lineup!”

KING KOBRA are busy recording the follow up album to the successful self titled release of 2011.
Guitarist David Michael-Phillips says: “We’ve got a high-energy combination of the classic King Kobra sound mixed with some of our favorite (heavy) influences: Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake, Blue Murder. Cool, heavy grooves, great melodies, soulful lead vocals by Paul Shortino, infectious harmonies and hooks…blazing guitars by yours truly and the thundering rhythm section of Johnny Rod and the legendary Carmine Appice! This is the next natural progression of Ready To Strike and our last, self-titled album King Kobra”.
Some of the songs set for inclusion include In The Night, Feelin’ Fine, Take Me Back, Deep River, Got It Comin’, We Go Round. Stay tuned for a release in early 2013.
Check out the band’s 2011 video, “Turn Up the Good Times” below!
XFactor1 was formed with the intent of bringing decadence, passion, and intensity to the people who matter most, the fans. XFactor1’s dedication and strong work ethic proves their desire to be seen and heard and once prompted a writer for a rock magazine to proclaim them “Americas blue collar band”. They wear it like a badge of honor!
With the help of their favorite sponser Jagermeister and through their own efforts, XFactor1 has played alongside some of the top bands in active rock on the Mayhem, Uproar, and Rock On The Range festivals. Xfactor1 has toured nationally with Mushroomhead, Flaw, Psychostick, Bobaflex, etc.
The band is constantly winning over new legions of fans they call XNation. In 2011, Red Bull listed XFactor1 as a top 5 band to watch. Their hard hitting, socially conscience videos have received tens of thousands of views on Youtube. Xfactor1’s 2010 album release Hope For Tomorrow charted 4 weeks in the top 10 of Billboards Heatseekers chart.
XFactor1 is back with another hard hitting, soul baring album about real life through the eyes of real
people. Famous.Last.Words. is a proclamation of “this is my life…and I won’t back down.”

I knew there were issues in the Queensryche camp, but this news comes as a bit of a surprise. Thanks to @NickinDallas for the tip!
On Friday June 8th and Saturday June 9th, the core members of Queensryche will debut their new band “Rising West” at the Hard Rock Café in Seattle WA. Rising West features Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield, and Parker Lundgren of Queensryche, with powerhouse vocalist Todd La Torre of Crimson Glory. The band will be performing rare and classic hits from the first 5 Queensryche albums and plan on hitting the studio sometime early summer to begin recording their first release.

Canadian rockers Killinger have just been tapped as support for Volbeat and Hell Yeah! on their upcoming tour in the United States in July. Prior to the commencement of these dates, Killinger will be featured at the 8th Annual Boonstock Music & Arts Festival in Gibbons, Alberta, Canada on June 30th alongside such heavyweights as Korn, Puddle Of Mudd and Volbeat. Please see below for tour dates. Killinger was just honored last month in their hometown with the 2012 Edmonton Music “People’s Choice” Award.
Killinger’s self-titled full-length debut was released last year in North America via Sunmor Entertainment, distributed by BDG. BDG is distributed by RED Distribution, LLC (a division of Sony Music Entertainment). The album features a contemporary rock sound which incorporates the best elements of 80s hard rock and metal. Produced by Rick Plester (Michael Schenker, George Lynch) and mixed by Mike Fraser (Aerosmith, AC/DC, Metallica), KILLINGER contains catchy melodies, big guitar riffs and a guest appearance by guitar great George Lynch.
With an over-the-top live show, the band has already established a solid fanbase in Western Canada, touring with the likes of Lynch Mob and Stryper. Of Killinger, Exclaim! best describes their sound as “gritty, double-time rock with soaring vocals and dive-bomb guitar solos…”, while The Belleville Intelligencer avows, “Laden with crunching guitars, thunderous drums and old-school lyrics…the sound is huge like the classic arena rock albums of the 1980s…” Click here to witness the sexy video for the track “Holding On”. After watching Queensryche’s performance from the Rocklahoma Music Festival last night (via HDnet), I couldn’t help but think that this might be one of the last Queensryche live shows. Much like the M3 performance, Geoff Tate left the stage before the end of the last song, and didn’t return. While I thought the band sounded good, I thought their performance was flat, and lacking chemistry. I hope I am wrong, as I have always loved Queensryche, and I would be disappointed if they didn’t continue as a band after this.
Queensryche’s song “If I Were King” seems very well suited for Memorial Day and deserves another look.
Hard Rock Hideout would like to thank all of the men and women of the military for their sacrifice and service to our country!
I have to admit that I wasn’t a big fan of Journey’s last album Eclipse, but their new video “Resonate” will make me give the album a second chance. “Resonate” is a pretty good tune, and you can’t deny that Arnel Pineda has an incredible voice. Check it out below.
Mirek Gil – guitars, Karol Wróblewski – vocal, Satomi – violin, Vlodi – drums, Przemas – bass guitar and Konrad Wantrych – keyboards,

POP EVIL has debuted a new music video for their latest hit single, “Boss’s Daughter” exclusively on VEVO today. Featuring the likes of Playboy Playmate Jessa Hinton and co-writer Mick Mars of Motley Crue, the video leaves you wanting more. “This video is the best depiction of the energy we bring during our live performance. Mick & Jessa were terrific to work with! Nathan and his crew made a killer all american rock & roll video,” says front man Leigh Kakaty.
Directed by Nathan “Karma” Cox, the video comes on the heels of the band announcing their participation in this summer’s Tresspass Across America Tour. Click here to view the video!
Fast cars, hot women and good ol’ American Rock and Roll are three main ingredients that make up POP EVIL, and all of the above hits you square in the jaw in this new video.
The band released “War Of Angels” last summer to much critical praise.
“Pop Evil’s latest effort, War of Angels, sees the band beefing up their sound and displaying a good deal of growth and maturity that’s a paramount example of why it’s a shame the big labels don’t give bands time to develop anymore” – Guitar World
“War Of Angels is a heavier and more mature departure from their debut album.” – Billboard
The band will embark on the TRESSPASS ACROSS AMERICA TOUR supporting KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH.
Kicking off July 13th in Broomfield, CO the tour stretches coast to coast. Additional support will come from EMURE, TRIVIUM, GOD FORBID and BATTLECROSS. Click Here for Tour Dates!

L.A Guns wasn’t supposed to play at the M3 Rock Festival in 2012. When Cinderella cancelled, L.A. Guns (and Great White) were added to the bill. L.A. Guns quickly proved that they deserved to be there with a rockin’ set of L.A. Guns classics and their brand new song, “You Better Not Love Me”. I like this song the first time I heard it, and I am glad it has been released for all to hear in a video format.

A live CHARM CITY DEVILS show is not one to be missed. Of a recent concert in their hometown (Baltimore), Shockwavemagzine.com praised: “…the boys delivered it tonight, Rock and Roll style, broken strings and all, gritty and heartfelt connecting with the fans in attendance tonight. The crowd was captivated or in tune with the guys tonight. This is and was Rock and Roll, it’s what it’s all about, the music and the passion and the connection with the people. Charm City Devils, the people’s band tonight.”
And the album’s been garnering rave reviews since its April 10 release, including:
“…(SINS) is ideal for fans of straight-up two-guitar rock with some edge…Charm City Devils has brought a quasi-retro, trend-free sound to their latest effort and may begin to see the benefits of staying true to that particular style.”
“As much as I loved the band’s debut album, LET’S ROCK-N-ROLL, SINS simply blows that album out of the water. ‘Man Of Constant Sorrow’ is the best cover song I have listened to in a long, long time. Charm City Devils have taken this 100 year old folk song, and turned into something completely their own. I think they did an outstanding job with this cover…John Allen and company have crafted a bunch of catchy tunes, many of which ought to be hits for Charm City Devils…Don’t miss out on one of the best hard rock albums of 2012!”
“From the opening crash of ‘Spite,’ through to the heavy rock sound of ‘Unstoppable’ into the riff-fueled ‘All You’ll Ever Need,’ SINS is a true rock album with all of the polish and sound necessary to climb the charts.”
“SINS takes the band to some memorable heights through the course of eleven tracks…the kind of record you’d hear playing loud and proud in a bar or on the national radio waves…Give Charm City Devils a chance with this one.”

Today Serj Tankian released the official video for his first Harakiri single, “Figure It Out.” The video was directed by Ara Soudjian. “It’s a comical political song talking about abusive capitalism and the differences created in economic stature and the reaction to it” says Tankian about the video. “CEOs have gotten away with murder, until now…”
Harakiri, the new studio album from singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, poet and political activist Serj Tankian is set to be released July 10th on Reprise Records/Serjical Strike. Harakiri, a Japanese word meaning ritualistic suicide, is the follow up to 2010’s Imperfect Harmonies and the third solo release from the System Of A Down frontman.
“Harakiri proves that Serj Tankian is not just one of the best vocalists in rock and metal, but one of the most passionate and provocative artists at work today.” – Revolver
Harakiri is presently available for pre-order on the singer’s official website. $2 from the sale of each pre-order will be donated to a non-profit organization to fight global hunger. “The Ultimate Unauthorized History Of The Beast”, a new book by Neil Daniels, will be released in June via Jawbone Books in the U.K. and Voyageur Press in the U.S.
Formed in east London in 1975, IRON MAIDEN went on to become one of the most successful rock acts in history. With more than 85 million album sales to their credit, the legendary metal band remains hugely popular worldwide: Their 2010 album, “The Final Frontier”, debuted at No. 1 in 30 countries and received unanimous critical praise.
In this, the first complete illustrated treatment of IRON MAIDEN, a roster of respected heavy metal journalists — including Ian Christe, Martin Popoff, Mick Wall, Daniel Bukszpan, and more — relate the band’s history, analyze their recordings, and provide a complete discography.
The stories behind the band’s formation, recordings, and tours, are complemented with more than 400 images, including live performance and candid off-stage photographs, as well as memorabilia, gig posters, T-shirts, backstage passes, buttons, and tickets. And with Derek Riggs (the man behind IRON MAIDEN’s iconic mascot, Eddie) having created the book’s exclusive cover art, this really is a must for any serious IRON MAIDEN collector.
Few bands have as widespread global appeal as IRON MAIDEN. Here is the book that gives that history its just treatment.
Neil Daniels has written about classic rock and heavy metal for a wide range of magazines, fanzines, and web sites. He had more than 10 books published between 2007 and 2011, including titles on JUDAS PRIEST, Robert Plant, BON JOVI, and JOURNEY. His reviews, articles, and interviews have appeared in The Guardian, Rock Sound, Record Collector and myriad other publications and web sites.

We have been fans of classic rock music at Hard Rock Hideout for what seems like forever. The last few years have been a very exciting time in rock and roll with the influx of revival rock bands hitting the scene. One of the bands that have been a big part of the rock and roll revival, is Los Angeles, California’s Rival Sons.
I have been a fan of Rival Sons since I first listened to their CD, Pressure & Time. Needless to say, I was looking very forward to getting to see Rival Sons play live for the very first time. Rock at the Range gave me that opportunity, and the band did not disappoint. Scott Holiday’s wicked slide guitar, and Jay Buchanan’s powerful vocals rocked the huge crowd at the Jagermeister Stage at Rock on The Range. If you missed Rival Sons performance, you truly missed out on a great up and coming band that you are going to be hearing a lot more about in the years to come.
If you haven’t check out their CD, Pressure & Time, check out the video clips below, and grab a copy of the CD at this link. You will be glad you did! The band recently finished recording their new album which will be released later this year. More details about the new album coming soon!
Boston’s very own Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt of multi-platinum recording band EXTREME are performing the National Anthem this Saturday, May 26th at 7:00 PM at Fenway Park for the Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays game.
Most recently, in the celebration of Fenway Park’s centennial, Gary Cherone, Nuno Bettencourt and Daniel Bard joined forces and recorded a version of the song “Let The Good Times Roll” available on the 100 Year Anniversary Red Sox Commemorative album. A portion of proceeds benefits the Red Sox Foundation.
Bettencourt will also be celebrating his special fan Darren Parker, who has self-proclaimed himself as one of Nuno’s biggest fans. The band and fans know him as NunoFreak. Darren has an inoperable brain tumor rendering him unable to work as his medical bills are mounting.
A fundraiser is being held on June 23 at Sleep’s Bar & Grill in Bluffs, IL which will include an auction, donations and freewill. Darren’s dream was to have Nuno show up but unfortunately he will be in London on tour with Rihanna. Bettencourt came up with a solution to help.
Last Friday, Nuno surprised Darren by calling him on the phone and invited him to be his special guest with Gary for the Red Sox game. This generous offer includes Darren to be on the field when they perform the National Anthem. After the Anthem, Nuno will gift him one of his Washburn Nuno Bettencourt N4 guitars so Darren can auction it on eBay to help cover his medical expenses. The Red Sox has kindly agreed to let Darren come in the afternoon to watch sound-check and then stay in the park to watch batting practice. “We are making this real special for him.” states Bettencourt. After the phone call with Nuno, Darren sent management an email saying that he “Literally had to pull the car over on the side of the road for 20 minutes to just process the conversation he just had with Nuno.”
Here is Darren’s website to learn more about his situation and the fundraiser.
Gary Cherone (lead vocals) and Nuno Bettencourt (guitar) are the driving force behind the iconic Boston rock band Extreme. To date, the Grammy-nominated EXTREME have released six albums, plus a greatest hits set—selling over 10 million records worldwide. They also achieved a Billboard #1 hit single, “More Than Words”—from their 1990 multi-platinum album Pornograffitti and a Top Five hit with “Hole Hearted.” Although these two acoustic hits brought the band great mainstream success, the band’s trademark sound is a mix of hard rock funk—fueled by guitar virtuoso Nuno Bettencourt’s signature style and Gary Cherone’s resonant vocals and socially conscious lyrics.
