It seems like Candlelight Red are refusing to take a rest from their breakneck 2012 schedule. In addition to recently issuing their debut full-length disc, The Wreckage (and single, “She’s Got the Look“), the band has secured a spot on the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival, which they will start a month after wrapping up tours with Lacuna Coil and Crossfade. The group will be rocking on one of two Festival Stages, which will also see sets from Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, Papa Roach, Adelitas Way, POD, and many more.
Live Nation is the national tour promoter for the Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival, and the tour will play more than 30 shows throughout North America during August and September. “We’re really excited about this year’s awesome lineup,” say tour producers John Oakes and John Reese. “It’s incredible to have so many of the biggest bands in rock together with some newer bands that are blowing up. By adding a second stage to the festival area and including even more great talent, we’re stepping things up a notch for the UPROAR fans.”
“Being on UPROAR is a huge honor,” says Candlelight guitarist Jeremy Edge. “To be playing on a tour with some of the biggest bands in rock today is very humbling!” Drummer Brian Dugan added, “This is a tremendous opportunity, a sign of many good things to come for Candlelight Red.”
Look for tour dates, venues and ticket on-sale information to be announced in the coming weeks. For more on Candlelight Red, visit their official website at candlelightred.com, as well as their Facebook and Twitter. The Wreckage is available now on iTunes, and “She’s Got the Look” is streaming on Soundcloud.
In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the recording of their debut album Feel the Shake, the 4 original members of JETBOY (Mickey Finn, Billy
Rowe, Fernie Rod and Ron Tostenson) will be reuniting for one night only, June 1, 2012 at the legendary Whisky-a-Go-Go in Los Angeles, California.
This lineup will include bass player Charles Norman who joined the band after the departure of Sam Yaffa in 1990. “This is as close to an original lineup the band has done since then” say’s Mickey Finn.
This will also be the 25 year mark that their original bass player Todd Crew passed away. “We as his friends thought that it would be a fitting tribute to not only celebrate the anniversary of ‘Feel the Shake’, but also our friend Todd Crew…a life taken way too soon” say’s JETBOY.
JETBOY in recent years has continued to play major festivals in the United States such as Rocklahoma, Rock on the Range, The M3 Festival and Rock the Bayou with a rejuvenated lineup. “When the Whisky called us with the idea, we never thought we could make it happen, but everyone was up for it” say’s Fernie Rod. “It’s just flat out exciting to think that after all this time, the original members can get back in the saddle for one more ride and help Los Angeles to Feel the Shake!”

SoCal rockers Nations Afire have premiered a new video for their high-energy, anthemic first single, “I Am An Army,” from their forthcoming album, The Ghosts We Will Become, today on BlankTV.com.
Watch Nations Afire’s new video for “I Am An Army” here!
Nations Afire recently wrapped up recording of their debut full-length album, The Ghosts We Will Become, at the legendary Blasting Room Studios in Fort Collins, CO; the same studio that was responsible for the past three Rise Against albums and countless other classic releases from bands like NOFX, Propagandhi and ALL. After the album was completed the band returned home to Southern California to self-direct and produce the first video from the album for the single “I Am An Army.”
“Knowing so many creative people in the music and film industry we decided to call on a few close friends to help us make the video we wanted to make,” explains vocalist Nik Hill.
Nations Afire called on their photographer/cinematographer friend Rob Wallace (irisconcepts.net), who has worked on videos for Pennywise, Strung Out, Death By Stereo, to film and friend of band Tim Lunsford to edit the video.
“We found a great location near downtown L.A. and put together a concept that would showcase the song and have some cool visuals to go along with the performance piece,” Hill added.
Nations Afire is a four piece band that features current and former members of some of the most influential punk and hardcore bands from the past decade. Guitarist Chris Chasse has an impressive resume that includes a tenure with Rise Against (Siren Song of the Counter Culture ‘04 and The Sufferer & the Witness ’06). Vocalist/guitarist Nik Hill and bassist Brett Rasmussen are both long standing members of the Orange County hardcore outfit Ignite and drummer Todd Hennig was the percussive force behind Death By Stereo for three albums.
Bassist Brett Rasmussen explains the band’s excitement in making their own video. “I think we have all done just about everything there is to do in regards to being in a band like; writing, recording, producing, playing live, touring and so forth, but none of us had ever made a full production video ourselves. It was a welcomed challenge and to be honest, ended up being a lot of fun!”
Nations Afire has some local shows booked in Southern California in May/June and are in the process of booking a European tour for August.
“BRINGING DOWN THE GIANT” IN STORES 7/17/12
SAVING ABEL has premiered the title track off their upcoming record titled “Bringing Down The Giant.” Loudwire.com brings the premiere to you exclusively, click HERE to listen! The brand new single is also available on iTunes for preview or purchase.
The band recently signed a worldwide deal with eOne Music. The band will release its brand new record “Bringing Down The Giant” on July 17th, 2012.
“I’m so excited and proud to announce that we have signed to eOne. Thanks to them the world will get a chance to hear this amazing collection of songs,” says frontman Jared Weeks. “Bringing Down The Giant” is the bands follow up release to “Miss America,” released in 2010. The band has been hard at work since then and want fans to know they are back. Weeks continues, “We have taken the last year to write and record the best songs of our career.”
Backyard barbecues, front porch jams, old-fashioned family values and hard-partying rock n’ roll is the name of the game for SAVING ABEL. A cross between Charlie Daniels and Tool, their songs cause guys and gals alike to shake what their momma gave ’em while pumping a fist in the air and serve as feel good anthems for American troops on military bases abroad.
Saving Abel combined meat and potatoes rock with their eponymous Gold-selling 2008 debut, which topped the Billboard Heatseekers chart. The record spawned the platinum single “Addicted” and the followup barn-burners, “Drowning (Face Down)” and the emotional “18 Days.” Their second album, “Miss America,” topped the Hard Rock chart and imprinted the hearts and minds of radio listeners with the title cut, “Stupid Girl (Only in Hollywood)” and another Top 10 single, “The Sex is Good.”
After blazing their own path with two full lengths, six top ten singles with two of them reaching number one, SAVING ABEL is ready to break new ground with “Bringing Down The Giant.”
SAVING ABEL is: Jared Weeks (Lead Vocals), Jason Null (Guitar, Backing Vocals), Scott Bartlett (Guitar, Backing Vocals), Eric Taylor (Bass, Backing Vocals) and Michael McManus (Drums).
The Answer has issued the following update this afternoon:
We’ve been asked to perform a very special show to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Ulster Hall.
This show is a massive event in our native Ulster and we’re incredibly thrilled to be able to announce that on May 22nd, we will be performing our much requested song “RISE” in a special arrangement with the Ulster Orchestra. We’ve played a few momentous gigs in Northern Ireland’s most famous venue before, but this one will be unlike anything you’ve seen us do before. It will be a truly spectacular experience performing with one of the finest symphony orchestra’s in the world and to also finally get to perform a song that we have loved but never released – until now that is!!
You will all notice the new updates to the website and that we are finally going to release the “RISE” song in on July 1st 2012 on our own “The Answer Productions” label. This digital release will consist of a new 2012 radio edit mix of “RISE”, an extended full length version, a very special acoustic / orchestral version and a brand new mix of another gem called “Lost” which is also pretty rockin’ if I do say so myself.
We really hope that all you good people will finally enjoy getting this version of “RISE 2012 EP” and that you will treasure it as much as we do.
