Was fortunate to see the Doro/SIster Sin show last night in Toronto. Kinda wondered if they’d make it due to the snow. It may have been cold outside, but it was hot in the venue! Man, what a great night. Local band Diemonds kicked things off in fine style. They’ve been getting more and more press recently and for good reason. Killer tunes, hot licks and great stage presence, especially from Priya the singer. Sister Sin was up next and talk about power! They were on 10 the whole show. The singer gave it her all with her powerful voice and great vocals. Great band and great tunes. Then it was time for Doro. Top notch band provided a great background for her to wail. Hey hey hey hey hey seemed to fit in every chorus. Doro’s got a charm few can match. Something about her and I can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe that’s her appeal. She played for 1.5 hours and played quite a few hits even with a moving tribute to Ronnie James Dio in the song Hero. If you get the chance to see this tour, you’ll thank yourself. My buddy and I wondered if we’d be seeing a better show this year. Damn fine!
