The Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival kicks off year five on August 15 in Detroit with a powerful lineup that includes multiplatinum mainstage bands Godsmack and Seether,along with Skillet, Buckcherry, Pop Evil, Escape The Fate, Redlight King, 3 Years Hollow, Within Reason, New Medicine, Sons of Revelry (2013 UPROAR Battle Of The Bands Winner), SuicideGirls burlesque show,These Raven Skies, and Tattered. As part of the 2013 UPROAR Battle Of The Bands grand prize package, winners Sons Of Revelry will perform on the UPROAR Festival Stage for the entire five week trek.

21st century hard rock titans Godsmack have sold over 20 million records worldwide. The band’s new smash single “1000hp” recently debuted at #1 on the iTunes Rock chart and it’s already Top 10 on the Active Rock radio chart in its first week. Godsmack will release their sixth full length album 1000hp on August 5. Frontman and founder Sully Erna says, “UPROAR Festival has been a long part of Godsmack’s history; we can’t wait to get out with some of our longtime friends and play our new music for our fans.”
Multi-platinum alternative rock trio Seether will release their highly anticipated, sixth studio album Isolate And Medicate on July 1 via The Bicycle Music Company/Concord Music Group. The album features the ferocious first single “Words As Weapons.” Seether says, “We’re looking forward to heading back out and rocking some faces off on this year’s Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival!”

TESLA released an all new LP titled SIMPLICITY on June 10th, 2014 via Tesla Electric Company Recording’s arrangement with Entertainment One Music and Distribution.Simplicity has seen quite the onslaught of critical praise, “Tesla do what Aerosmith used to be king at and fail to do now: produce perfectly biting, raucous hard rock,” says Goldmine Magazine and Blabbermouth states: “TESLA 2014 admirably sounds like themselves a quarter of a century ago and that’s remarkable. Moreover, they sound better in this cruder, more untreated state.”
SIMPLICITY is the band’s seventh studio full length LP and fifteenth release overall. The new effort is the followup to FOREVER MORE, which was released in October 2008 and featured the single “I Wanna Live.”

0 KIX IS READY TO ‘ROCK YOUR FACE OFF’ WITH NEW ALBUM, THEIR FIRST IN TWO DECADES, DUE OUT AUGUST 5 ON LOUD & PROUD RECORDS
For KIX, not recording any new music for two decades has been far too long. Fans have made it known for years that they want new music. And now, the time has finally come. The Maryland band is primed and ready to ROCK YOUR FACE OFF with their seventh new album set for release August 5 on Loud & Proud Records. It’s everything fans know and love them for: a raucous, roaring and real display of rock ‘n’ roll. The first single, “Love Me With Your Top Down,” will be released to radio and online retail outlets later this month. As guitarist Brian “Damage” Forsythe explains, “When we first played ‘Love Me With Your Top Down’ live just a few months ago, it went over like gangbusters with the fans. It’s a catchy little tune with classic KIX flavor, a perfect choice for the first taste of the record.”
What makes the new album even more exciting and anticipated is that it features most of the band’s original line-up: Steve Whiteman (vocals), Brian “Damage” Forsythe (guitar), Ronnie “10/10” Younkins (guitar), Jimmy “Chocolate” Chalfant (drums), with the exception of Mark Schenker (bass).
With ROCK YOUR FACE OFF, KIX stirs up their truest statement to date in 2014. “It’s still hot women, fast cars, and great moments,” concludes Whiteman. “I want everybody to end up on their feet, whether they’re working out or stuck in rush hour traffic. This is a release, something to lift your spirits when you need it. You can party to this one.”
KIX gracefully eased back into the public consciousness in 2008. After sold out hometown gigs, the quintet hit the stage at Rocklahoma in front of over 20,000 people, venturing out of the Mid-Atlantic for the first time in 13 years. The band was hailed by many music websites and attendees as “Best Performance” at the festival, where they played alongside Sammy Hagar, Alice Cooper, Tesla, Queesryche, Ratt, and more. After capturing their fiery reunion on 2012’s LIVE IN BALTIMORE CD & DVD, the band agreed to enter the studio once again.
“In many ways, this is for the KIX diehards as much as it is for us,” guitarist Brian Forsythe explains. “When we started doing this again, tons of fans came out of the woodwork. They’d show up with their kids, and it was just incredible to see. We had to deliver for them.”
In order to deliver, the band enlisted the talents of producer Taylor Rhodes (Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne), with whom they had last collaborated on 1991’s HOT WIRE. Also, for the first time in the group’s history, each member contributed to the writing process, fostering an extremely creative and free environment in the studio. A new dawn commenced as they simultaneously harnessed their classic spirit.
“It was more free-flowing because everybody got to write and come up with ideas,” says singer Steve Whiteman. “We encouraged this new freedom within the creative process.”

KING DIAMOND has confirmed what has been rumored for several weeks: a full North American tour this Fall! The long-awaited trek will commence on October 11th in Atlanta and wrap up with the previously announced performance at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin. 2 Vie’s Verses – 20 Years Since 1994
I find it very hard to believe that 1994 was 20 years ago. I was such a young pup then. The music was fantastic, hard rock ruled the radio, and two bands released the best records of their careers. Yes, I am referring to Soundgarden and Nine Inch Nails, who are touring together on a double bill this summer.
And while I would love to hear Superunknown and The Downward Spiral performed in their entirety, I realize that probably won’t happen. A fan can dream though.
Seeing those two bands in concert this summer is certainly going to be a journey down Nostalgia Avenue. 1994 was one of the greatest years in my life and it was also one of the greatest years for rock music. Here now are some of the rock release highlights from 20 years ago.
Debut Albums
In August of 1994, a little known band out of England named Oasis released their first record, Definitely Maybe. The album got the band all sorts of attention with critics loving the release and fans buying it in droves. With such wonderful songs as “Live Forever,” and “Rock And Roll Star,” it’s no wonder the record was such a hit. Oasis went on to become a force in the world of rock music, recording numerous hits over the next few years, but in-fighting amongst brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher ultimately led to
the demise of this wonderful band.
The all but forgotten group The Toadies released their debut, Rubberneck, which was a solid album and one I thoroughly enjoyed. The lead single, “Possum Kingdom” received a plethora of radio play, helping to cement The Toadies as a band to watch. I still don’t understand why they never got more traction.
In 2001 the band released their sophomore disc which quickly flopped and the band went into limbo.
Earlier this year, The Toadies announced that Rubberneck would receive a 20th complete with 5 previously unavailable bonus tracks. The band will be out on the road performing the album in its entirety.
Bush debuted Sixteen Stone, which was one of the best selling debut albums in rock. Upon its release Sixteen Stone was slow to gain any movement, but after several months and the release of “Everything Zen,” and “Come Down” as singles, record sales picked up. The album would eventually sell over 6 million copies and launch Bush into short lived superstardom. When their second album (Razorblade Suitcase) tanked, most fans quickly forgot about the band. Bush split up in 2002, only to reform eight years later. They are currently in the studio working on a new record.
Green Day had their major label debut release, Dookie, and in 1994 there was no album that 21-year old Ryo Vie loved more. From start to finish, this record was a pure masterpiece. Dookie was my first real exposure to punk rock and it opened many doors for my music loving ears. The fast chords, the hard hitting, overpowering vocals, and themes of anger, doubt, and confusion resonated within my young mind. After hearing “Longview” just once, I was hooked and considered myself a Green Day fan. Songs like “She,” “When I Come Around,” and “Coming Clean” were played endlessly and at maximum volume.
For a young man still trying to find his direction in life, Dookie served as my soundtrack.
Classic Veteran Releases
While 1994 contained some exceptional debut albums from a new crop of soon-to-be-famous rockers, the veterans of rock and roll would not allow themselves to be outdone.
In July, The Rolling Stones released Voodoo Lounge, proving they could still make new music that fans wanted to hear. This was the first Rolling Stones album without bassist Bill Wyman, who departed the band in 1991. Daryl Jones would fill in on bass and become the group’s regular bassist from that point on, although he never became an official member of the Rolling Stones. It was the first Stones record in five years and was released to critical and commercial success. Voodoo Lounge reached number 2 on the
US charts, eventually going double platinum. Four singles would be released from the record including “Love Is Strong” and “You Got Me Rocking.” The Stones would head out on a world tour that would last the next 18 months. Voodoo Lounge would ultimately win a Grammy for best rock record.
Tesla released Bust A Nut which sold well behind the strength of the super amazing “Mama’s Fool.” This was the tail end of Tesla’s reign on the rock world. They had been lumped in with the “hair” band category of rock, and as fans turned more toward grunge and punk they turned away from this style (or perceived style) of music. Bust A Nut would be certified Gold by 1995, but Tesla would split up that year and eventually reform in 2000.
Vitalogy from Pearl Jam hit the record stores, affirming that the band was one of the hottest groups around. The album included some of the band’s biggest hits including “Immortality,” “Corduroy,” and “Not For You.” And while the band was still battling Ticketmaster and still struggling to find venues where they could perform live, it didn’t halt record sales. Vitalogy would sell more than 877,000 copies in its first week of release and go on to become certified platinum 5 times over. Not bad for a record that never received a proper tour.
Not to be outdone by their fellow grunge rockers, Nirvana released their MTV Unplugged performance which was quickly gobbled up by the Nirvana faithful, ultimately going 5x platinum. Fans attempting to survive in a post-Cobain world were treated to one last great live album which featured spectacular covers of “The Man Who Sold The World” and “Where Did You Sleep Last Night.” The record debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and is one of the band’s most successful releases.
Forgotten Classics
Motley Crue’s lesser known (but still quite fantastic) self titled album with John Corabi on vocals was put out on March 15th of that year. It was the first Motley Crue album released since 1989’s Dr. Feelgood. And while I personally feel that “Hooligan’s Holiday” and “Misunderstood” are two of the greatest Motley Crue songs recorded, most fans did not feel the same way. Record sales were flat, in fighting continued amongst the band, and within two years, John Corabi was out as the Crue’s singer. Motley would reunite with Vince Neil in 1997 and release the horrendous Generation Swine.
Does anyone remember the rap/rock conglomerate that was Body Count? The Ice-T led hardcore outfit, put out their second record, Born Dead, in 1994. After much controversy over their debut album, the song “Cop Killer” in particular, Body Count had made a name for themselves behind all the publicity and negative connotations. Riding that wave of success, the band put forth their second record, Born Dead, which included a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Hey Joe.” The album would peak on number 74 on the
Billboard charts, but never got any real traction. Body Count continued to tour and record new albums sporadically over the next twenty years. Their fifth record is due out this summer.
1994 saw the end of yet another great 80s metal band. Cinderella released their final studio album, Still Climbing. Their last album contained all of the material that Cinderella fans had come to love over the years—bluesy, gritty, rock and roll, with songs about parties and beautiful women. The album even had a couple of power ballads. It’s a shame that most of the songs from this record are either forgotten or ignored by the fans as well as the band. Still Climbing is a great record that does not get any recognition. For a swan song, Still Climbing delivered some great memories that are still cherished to this day.
The Best Of The Best
Stone Temple Pilots put out their sophomore effort, Purple, which is unquestionably their best record. The album was released on June 7, 1994 and debuted at number one on the Billboard charts. Fantastic hit songs “Vaseline,” “Interstate Love Song,” and “Big Empty” all helped contribute to the record’s success. STP would go on to enjoy their fame and popularity for the rest of that year and a few more years beyond. Unfortunately, personal demons attacked singer Scott Weiland and the band rapidly went downhill. Weiland and his bandmates would have an on-again/off-again relationship that would last into recent years. Ultimately, the band would never recapture the level of success they had in the summer of 1994.
Hard rocking punk band The Offspring came out with Smash which went on to be the best selling independent album of all time. With hits such as “Come Out And Play” and “Self Esteem” it’s no wonder the disc was so beloved. Smash was the breakout album that The Offspring had been waiting for.
Although they had recorded two records prior to Smash the band was relatively unknown. All of that changed when “Come Out And Play” got some airtime on modern rock radio stations. Something about the originality and freshness of the song connected with listeners and torched the path for The Offspring (and Smash)’s success. The Offspring is currently working on their 10th studio release and plan to tour this summer in honor of the 20th Anniversary of Smash.
As I already mentioned, Soundgarden’s Superunknown and Nine Inch Nails Downward Spiral both came out in 1994, on the same day as a matter of fact (March 8, 1994). Both records would go on to achieve unfathomable amounts of success and launch both bands into the stratosphere of hard rock gods.
Superunknown was just larger than life. Soundgarden was hitting their stride when the band released this record. It was their breakthrough gem that included huge hits “Black Hole Sun,” “Spoonman,” and “Fell On Black Days.” At the height of the grunge movement, Soundgarden had released their best album ever and was able to ride that wave of popularity. The record debuted at number one on the Billboard charts, selling 310,000 copies in its initial week of release. The single “Black Hole Sun” would spend seven weeks at number one and would ultimately net the band a Grammy Award. Superunknown is still considered Soundgarden’s greatest release and probably always will be.
Trent Reznor’s Nine Inch Nails had an exceptional 1994 with the release of The Downward Spiral. The band found an entirely new level of fame when the song “Closer” was released as a single. Receiving constant airplay on MTV and radio stations across America, “Closer” exploded and was one of the biggest hits of the year. A music fan couldn’t turn around without hearing “Closer” somewhere. The controversial video filmed for the song only helped to fuel its popularity and by the end of 1994 “Closer” was at the top of everyone’s “Best of…” list. Other fantastic songs included “Heresy,” “March of the Pigs,” and “Hurt,” which would be covered by Johnny Cash many years later. The Downward Spiral is one of those phenomenal albums that still sound terrific to this day.
All in all, 1994 was a grand year for rock music lovers. It was one of the best years for music releases and contained some of the most celebrated, amazing records of all time, most of which are still listened to on a regular basis. How many years can make that claim?

0 IMPRESSIVE L.A. NEWCOMERS X-DRIVE TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM “GET YOUR ROCK ON” ON FRONTIERS IN AUGUST
Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of X-DRIVE’s debut album entitled “Get Your Rock On” on August 22nd in Europe and August 26th in North America.
X-DRIVE is a new band centered around guitar player Jeremy Brunner, an Oregon transplant, who – on the heels of his songwriting skills managed to put together an impressive debut with an affinity for catchy riffs, insightful lyrics and huge choruses.
Some of the best in Los Angeles have joined the ranks of X-DRIVE, including bassist James Lomenzo (White Lion, Megadeth, Black Label Society), singer Keith St. John (Burning Rain, Lynch Mob, Montrose) and to round out the project hard-hitting drummer Fred Fischer from Midline. Then legendary producer Andy Johns, the former Led Zeppelin engineer, was able to finish the X-DRIVE tracks just before his tragic death in 2013.
“It was such a pleasure to contribute to Jeremy’s effort! He has written and crafted an incredible homage to the style of 80’s rock, a style that I cut my teeth on back in the day,” Lomenzo said. “His love for the era and style really comes through in a surprisingly satisfying way.”
“Writing with Brunner was an absolute pleasure,” St. John said. “On the whole, the vehicle for his musical canvasses has been a breath of fresh air in directness and simplicity. I found myself patently inspired to fashion my parts for this collection of songs that was Jeremy’s own refreshing take on the ‘80s.”
“Get Your Rock On” was mixed by Wyn Davis (Black Sabbath, Dio, Whitesnake, Dokken), and it took more than a year in the studio to make things just the way Brunner wanted, as the guitarist is a bit of a mastermind perfectionist. But it was definitely worth the wait! The X-DRIVE debut positively rocks from beginning to end.

Iconic hard rock band Motörhead will reissue it’s 21st studio album “Aftershock” via UDR/Motörhead Music on July 29th in North America under the title “Aftershock – Tour Edition”. The album was produced by longtime producer Cameron Webb (Megadeth, Disturbed). The expanded edition will contain a Bonus Live CD (also recorded by Webb), consisting of live material comprised from the band’s historic appearances in early 2014.
In further celebration of the reissue, UDR/Motörhead Music will be releasing a video for the song “Lost Woman Blues” filmed live from The Warfield in San Francisco on Friday April 18th, 2014. The show was part of the band’s warm-up mini tour for the upcoming European festivals. The song’s performance, verve, swagger and attitude show Motörhead have maintained their rich ripeness and added another layer of grit and polish. The video is set to premier on VH1 Classic on July 7th.

0 Don Felder, Foreigner and Styx – Soundtrack of Summer Review & Photo Gallery
One of the best classic rock tours of 2014 came to the Horseshoe Casino in Cincinnati Thursday night. The Soundtrack of Summer features Don Felder (ex-Eagles), Foreigner and Styx. The show in Cincinnati also featured local opener Brent James & The Vintage Youth. This was the first time I heard Brent James, and I gotta say, I hope to catch this band again soon. They were great!
Don Felder was next on stage and I wasn’t sure what to expect from his live show. Felder and band did a full set of Eagles tunes including some of the heavier numbers, “Heavy Metal (Takin’ a Ride)” (from the Heavy Metal Soundrack), “Heartache Tonight”, “Life in the Fast Lane” and “Hotel California”. On “Hotel California” Tommy Shaw from Styx joined Felder on stage and traded vocals with Felder. Shaw is also on the newly recorded version of “Hotel California” that is on the Soundtrack of Summer available exclusively through Walmart. Don Felder was awesome, and I was glad that I got to see him perform.
I was surprised when Foreigner took the stage, as Mick Jones was not present. After the first few songs, the band brought Mick out and he finished the show. Foreigner sounded awesome. Kelly Hansen is such a superb vocalist, you would hardly recognize that he is not Foreigner’s original singer. At one point during the show, Kelly scaled the stage supports, and got the crowd fired up from death defying heights. Foreigner’s set included the classics “Double Vision”, “Head Games”, “Cold As Ice”, “Waiting For A Girl Like You”, “Feels Like The First Time”, “Urgent”, “Starrider”, “Juke Box Hero”, “I Want To Know What Love Is” and “Hot Blooded”. The Young Professionals’ Choir Collective of Cincinnati joined Foreigner on stage for the song “I Want To Know What Love Is”. I thought that was a pretty cool touch to their show.
Styx was closing act for the Cincinnati show, although Styx and Foreigner are rotating the headlining spot at select shows. I have Styx several times and they never disappoint. At this show, Styx pulled out a couple of old tunes that I have never heard them perform including, “Superstars” and “Light Up”. The rest of the set included the songs “Grand Illusion”, “Too Much Time”, “Fooling Yourself”, “Lady”, “Crystal Ball”, “Blue Collar Man”, “Come Sail Away” and an encore with “Rockin’ The Paradise” and “Renegade”.. Tommy Shaw and company sounded great, and I thought it was cool that pulled out a couple of old tunes for their live set. I wish they would do “Mr. Roboto”, but I digress.
The Soundtrack of Summer is a great summer tour, and one that should not be missed. You can catch this tour on one of the following dates summer.

0 Hard Rock Hideout Interviews Kix Front Man Steve Whiteman
At the M3 rock festival Ryo Vie and I, had the opportunity to meet and interview Kix front man, Steve Whiteman, before their show Friday night. Kix will be releasing their first new album since ’95 later this year, and we couldn’t be more excited to hear new music from Kix. Check out what Steve Whiteman had to say about the new album, and more!
Ryo Vie: I saw your show at Starland Ballroom at the beginning of April. Great Show!
Steve Whiteman: Oh Thank you, that’s a cool room. I love to play that room.
Ryo Vie: I loved your rant about Youtube, how there is no surprises anymore.
Steve Whiteman: That’s true, we are playing some new songs, and everyone will have them downloaded…next, bring on the new shit.
Rob Rockitt: Kix is going to release their first new album since 1995.
Steve Whiteman: We took a ten year break as we really thought the music was dead. Our genre of music was totally flushed. There was a new party in town and we were not invited. So we had to just move on and do other things with our lives. In the meantime, I started a band named Funny Money. We put out five CDs. It is not like we weren’t doing anything. four studio albums and one best of CD. Brian was in Rhino Bucket, and they put out a CD about every other week (laughs), and Ronnie has Blues Vultures. We were all writing and doing things but just not collectively. It is not like we weren’t producing music, but this whole concept of new record came from that live DVD, Live in Baltimore. The label we were with at the time, Frontiers, requested a studio album. We hadn’t really thought about it. All the fans, they don’t want to hear new shit.
Rob Rockitt: Yes we do!
Steve Whiteman: I know that now, but our train of thought they just want to see and hear the old shit that they grew up with. cause that’s the case with most bands. We wouldn’t go out and play a new album. We wouldn’t get out-of-town without doing “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah”, “Don’t Close Your Eyes”. That stuff is staples of our live show. Probably a good year went by and we were trying to find Taylor Rhodes, trying to track him down thinking he would be perfect to get involved to steer us in that Kix direction. He was a co-producer on a couple of records and a co-writer on some of the records with Donnie. Since Donnie wasn’t involved anymore. I don’t write like Donnie. That is why my songs weren’t on Kix records.
Rob Rockitt: I know Donnie was your primary song writer on past albums
Steve Whiteman: By command, not by choice
Rob Rockitt: so moving on to your new album, what was the song writing process like
Steve Whiteman: We were always writing, so when time came. We sent 40 songs to Taylor that we all put together and we left it up to Taylor to go through them, and listen to them and narrow it down to 15. We all go together and worked on the 15 as a band in the studio for the first time in twenty years. That was cool. There wasn’t one person running the show. It was everybody’s input and contribution. We worked on those songs, and in about a week’s time, they fell together nice. We thought yeah, we think this will work, let’s do it.
Rob Rockitt: The album has been done for a while hasn’t it.
Steve Whiteman: It has been done since the end of last summer, last fall.
Ryo Vie: What has caused the delay in getting it out.
Steve Whiteman: probably the whole Frontiers situation. They were being sued by the American Frontiers. It wasn’t a label but someone who owned the copyright to the name. Everything was pretty much on hold. We knew Tom Lipski from CMC, that is why we signed with Loud & Proud. We knew Tom would give us tender loving care and that we be a much better situation.
Ryo Vie: There were no ownership rights issues where Frontiers could have said hey those are our songs?
Steve Whiteman: There could have. We had to work out the legality thing to get that shit off the table.. It takes a really long time. Lawyers go back and forth, and back and forth. By the time we got off of it, we will probably pay the lawyers more than we make. But hey, the fans get new music.
Rob Rockitt: Does the album have a name?
Steve Whiteman: We are throwing that around now. We haven’t named it yet. I suggested New Shit.
Rob Rockitt: I love that!
Steve Whiteman: Everyone likes that but the record label. We are a funny band. What you gonna name the album…New Shit. I am campaigning, I don’t know if it will happen or not, but I am campaigning.
Ryo Vie: Switching gears, last year at M3 Kix did not headline that Friday night slot, and the fans were not happy.
Steve Whiteman: That was pretty much W.A.S.P.’s request. It wasn’t a demand on their end. We really don’t care. We have no ego’s whatsoever. We will go on third, we don’t give a shit. As long as we can get up in front of our fans and give them a good show, we know that our fans are going to be out there regardless. At their request, they would like to close the show. It was a little more firm than that, but we said ah go ahead. No hard feelings.
Rob Rockitt: Once the album hits, what are you planning to do touring wise.
Steve Whiteman: It is going to depend on the demand. The demand tells you where to go. If it doesn’t get any airplay, which I don’t know if it will or not. XM will jump on it. Some of the harder edged stations will jump on it. Trunk will play it. It is really going to get mainstream radio interested. I seriously doubt it. Kix? I didn’t play them when they were out the first time. (lots of laughter) I don’t know what to expect. We will go where the demand takes us.
Rob Rockitt: With so many of the classic bands with new music coming out in 2014, I am surprised that a multi-bill shed tour hasn’t been planned.
Steve Whiteman: I guest it costs too damn much to get on the road these days. Say if you put Tesla, Kix and Great White on the same bill, which is the tour we did 20 years ago, you could put that on a tour today and it would be really good. I don’t think the venues could pay us enough to keep hotels, crew, bus. I don’t think there is enough money to be made to do that. That is why we do the fly dates. You fly out the day before, they supply everything. The drums, backline, we fly home. Its simple, and its better than trucking around in a tour bus.
Ryo Vie: What about doing a residency at Hammerjack’s or somewhere in Baltimore.
Steve Whiteman: Hammerjack’s isn’t even real yet. I keep hearing about Hammerjack’s. It is someone’s dream at this point. We have been playing Ram’s Head for the last five years. It is a great venue with great crowds.
Rob Rockitt: One thing I have been curious about is, what is your work out regimen. You are in great shape.
Steve Whiteman: P90X. I’ve always worked out, and I got tired of doing the same thing. I kept hearing the ads for P90X. Mark, our bass player, his neighbor gave it to him, and he was doing it, and he said you should try this, since you are looking for something new. He gave it to me, and i’ve been doing it for three years. It is vigorous, but it works. I am in better shape now than I have ever been in my life.
Rob Rockitt: It has been well publicized that you were the teacher for Lzzy Hale.
Steve Whiteman: Yeah, I get way too much credit for that.
Rob Rockitt: How do you feel about that? Halestorm is doing great
Steve Whiteman: I am so proud of them. Don’t give me too much credit. The girl has all the talent in the world. She didn’t know how to put it together, how to prepare, or how to warm herself up, how to protect herself, and she didn’t project very well. That is really what I worked on with her.
Rob Rockitt: Do you have other students that you are working with now that could be the next big thing?
Steve Whiteman: I have some female students that are really talented that are 14-15 years old. Just like when Lzzy came to me. That is a special situation with Halestorm as their parents were so behind them. The parents home-schooled them, their whole career, they all worked together as a family to make that happen.. Most kids don’t have that. That is kind of a special story. It sure did pan out well.
Ryo Vie: Yes it did, indeed!
Rob Rockitt: What is the latest music you are listing to?
Steve Whiteman: The Winery Dogs. They blew me away on the boat. They were so good. I have had their CD for a while, but once I saw them , I said oh, now I really get it. It was like when I saw the Stones for the first time. I like the Stones, but when I saw them, whoa. How has anyone not heard Richie Kotzen at this point. He is phenomenal. He had his solo band on the ship, and they were almost as good as the Winery Dogs. They were just amazing.
Rob Rockitt: 35 years!
Steve Whiteman: Yeah so what (laughs)
Rob Rockitt: Did you ever think when you started out in the Shooz that you would still be doing it this long?
Steve Whiteman: that is kind of like saying, when am I going to die. You don’t put a time limit on it. As long as people are digging it, and you are doing it, and having a good time doing it, and making a living at it, you keep going. Stones, Aerosmith, all those bands that continue to do it, cause there is a love and a passion for it. Of course, they make a hell of a lot more money than they do, but they don’t need the money at this point in their life. They just do it because they love it. You don’t put a door or a window up. You just keep going forward. When nobody wants you anymore, I guess its done.
Rob Rockitt: There is an alarming trend right now, where a few bands from the 80’s are starting to put in their retirement notices, and starting to call it quits.
Steve Whiteman: That is because they are old and out of shape (laughs), they don’t do P90X. Going back to your other question, a band that my kids turned me on to, is a band called Fun.
Ryo Vie: That’s a good band.
Steve Whiteman: I really love that band. I’ve seen them live a couple of times. They are amazing. That guy (Nate Ruess) sings better than anybody I have ever heard. He is amazing, he is a good front man, the band is phenomenal. They play great songs. I hear my kids play their music all of the time, so I am real familiar with it. I drove them to the 9:30 club in D.C., I didn’t want them to drive to D.C. by themselves. When I got there, I was blown away. I had a great time. We saw them again here, when they played at Merriweather.
Ryo Vie: So you were the coolest dad in the world.
Steve Whiteman: Absolutely, for that evening anyway. It was a night like tonight, it was sold out. 20,000 people.
Rob Rockitt: In closing,the new album is coming out, what does the future hold for Kix?
Steve Whiteman: I don’t think of it like that. Whatever comes our way, if it makes sense we will do it. If we would get some airplay in Europe or Japan, we would probably hop over and do some shows there. You gotta wait and see what it brings, at this point, we won’t know until its out there an how it is accepted. It may tank, or it may slowly do something. If it does anything like the Winery Dogs, we would be blessed, but those guys are kinda good.
Ryo Vie: You guys are kinda good too.
Rob Rockitt: Get on a bill with them.
Steve Whiteman: We are label mates so that could be a possibility.

0 POP EVIL LAND THIRD #1 SINGLE WITH “TORN TO PIECES” EARNING THE BAND THREE NUMBER ONE SINGLES FROM THE SAME LP
Grand Rapids, Michigan’s sons POP EVIL have landed their THIRD #1 SINGLE with their heartfelt mega-hit “Torn to Pieces,” from their most recent LP ONYX. The band saw two previous singles peak at #1 on the Active Rock charts last year, first with “Trenches” followed by “Deal with the Devil.” “Words can’t explain the feelings I have after finding out and realizing we’ve just accomplished such a rare feat,” says frontman Leigh Kakaty. This marks one of the few times in chart history that an artist on an independent record label has landed three number one singles off the same LP.
The song is one that hits close to home. “Torn to Pieces” is a heartfelt tribute to Kakaty’s late father, who passed away around the time the album was being made. SLASH and MYLES KENNEDY talk about the album and the forthcoming tour dates in this Q&A:
WORLD ON FIRE marks your second album with your band MYLES KENNEDY (vocals), BRENT FITZ (drums) and TODD KERNS (bass). How do you feel the dynamic between the four of you has evolved?
SLASH: We had a natural chemistry from the very beginning. The longer we have been together the more it has blossomed. And because of all the touring and the different situations we have been thrown into as a band and as players, we have all subconsciously learned from that. It shows up when we’re writing and when we’re recording. It’s sort of an unsaid thing, but I can sense it. It’s a natural evolution for a bunch of musicians in a band together.
MYLES: Over the last four years we have definitely evolved into a band. Utilizing Todd’s vocal prowess and Brent’s ability as a multi-instrumentalist definitely highlights what the Conspirators are capable of. I feel like it adds to what Slash and I do as songwriters. Not to mention they are both a big part of the arrangement process. Todd even brought in a cool progression that we used for the verses in “Shadow Life” and he added an great intro to “The Dissident” which is really fun.
What are the biggest differences between the last album Apocalyptic Love and the new album WORLD ON FIRE?
SLASH: The biggest difference is that the band has also has naturally evolved with so much touring and all of these different things. There’s a difference in musicianship that shows on this record and the songwriting skills especially.
The other difference is the fact that we recorded both albums live, but we kept the first one (Apocalyptic Love) just live. That was it. There was no over-dubs or layering or any kind of studio techniques. With WORLD ON FIRE I wanted to do guitar harmonies and double up parts and just create sounds. It’s a little more produced record in that sense.
MYLES: We didn’t spend as much time fine-tuning arrangements as a unit during the Apocalyptic sessions. I think that’s part of the reason this record sounds as cohesive as it does. Slash spent a lot of time with Todd and Brent working on arrangements while I was on tour with Alter Bridge late last year. When I got off the road, I met up with them in LA so they could get a feel for how the songs felt with vocals.
Another difference is that Slash played all the guitars on WORLD ON FIRE. During the Apocalyptic sessions I sang and played guitar which was fun, but it definitely cut into the amount of time I had to focus on lyrics, etc. Not playing guitar on WORLD ON FIRE gave me additional time to fine-tune lyrics and melodies which improved the songs in the end. I’m very happy with how it turned out.
For WORLD ON FIRE you teamed up with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Alter Bridge, Falling In Reverse, Incubus). What do you feel he brought to the table?
SLASH: Elvis is very conscious about guitar and guitar tones as well as drums, bass and vocals. For me, it is important to work with somebody who is very dialed-into guitar sounds. In this particular day and age it’s a rarity to find someone who really understands guitar sounds. Elvis is an extremely hard-worker. I consider myself a hard worker as well as Myles. He was somebody that, over the course of making the record, gave me an even more of an extra push in some moments. So he brought out the best in me as well as Myles and the drums and everything. He was a pleasure to work with.
MYLES: Elvis is brilliant. It’s the fifth record I have had the pleasure of recording with him. His ability to get the best out of a rock band is pretty special. He always seems to be aware of what the fans want to hear from an artist. He did a great job documenting Slash’s tone and sound. I remember the first time I heard the solo for “Battleground”–I was blown away. Elvis captured the sonic hallmarks that made Slash’s playing resonate with me 25 years ago.
Elvis is hands-on with every element of the recording process. From the arrangements to the final mix, he is relentless at making sure that the record is everything it should be and more.
Did you guys experiment with any new sounds with the production?
SLASH: Yes and no. The whole record sounds new compared to the last album. Yes we did do a lot of tonal and EQ and guitars. I can’t say we were looking to break ground with new technology, because we did this to tape. But from a tonal and equalization point of view, we definitely broke a lot of new ground.
MYLES: That would be a question for Elvis or Slash. I can definitely hear some new approaches that I haven’t heard on the last two records.
What makes “World on Fire” the perfect single choice?
SLASH: I think there’s a lot of singles on the record, but it’s a good kick-off song. It’s up-tempo, aggressive, it’s a fun song. I love the whole world on fire, larger-than-life kind of vibe that the title and lyrics have.
MYLES: It’s got a certain intensity and drive that made it a compelling choice for the lead-off track.
In what ways are we all suffering from a World on Fire?
SLASH: To be literal about it, we have the global warming thing. But that’s not the catalyst for the title. “World on Fire” is more of a tongue-in-cheek, positive, fun thing– it has a lot of sexual connotations in the actual song itself. It’s a euphemism for going a little bit crazy and pulling out all the stops.
MYLES: “World On Fire” isn’t necessarily a profound statement about where we are as a planet. It’s about living life to the fullest….carpe diem. Some might perceive the track as carnal in nature, but the idea of seizing the moment and doing what makes you happy is the overall theme. Then again, it’s not up to me to dictate what a song will mean to everyone. All I can do is tell you what was going through my head as the lyrics were being written.
What are a couple of other songs that you feel are highlights for you right now?
SLASH: When doing a record I hate to identify with any one particular song or two particular songs. It’s not like the record is written with one great song and the rest are filler. They all mean as much as the others. There are a few songs that are very different than what we did on the last record. There’s a song called “The Unholy” which was influenced by my work in film. There’s another song called “Thirty Years to Life” which is a little bit of a departure. There’s another song that sticks out in my mind called “The Dissident” that’s a little bit unpredictable compared to stuff that people would expect from us.
You’re touring with Aerosmith this summer for the “Let Rock Rule” tour. It feels like true rock is needed more than ever in a very pop-driven landscape. How do you guys feel about this?
SLASH: I am a Rock n’ Roll guy. The music business has become a pop-oriented sort of thing and all of the different music genres have become pop. I love the fact that I am doing Rock n’ Roll and have always done the same thing from a very heartfelt place. Aerosmith has represented that to me ever since I was kid. The two of us going out there and doing this big tour and holding that banner and doing it as sincerely as it can be done is something that I can be proud of.
MYLES: Though rock is not the force that it once was in America, it still has a loyal fan base that always seems to continue regardless of what popular culture deems as the “cool thing.” It’s great because you go to a rock show and you know folks aren’t there because they are following trends, they aren’t fair weather fans, they’re following their heart and listening to music that they love. People have been saying rock is dead for years but the reality is that it just falls out of favor with pop culture from time to time. The rock fans are still out there and that’s why a tour like this is so important.

0 Vie’s Verses: 30 Years of Stay Hungry
30 years ago Twisted Sister released what would become their most well known album, Stay Hungry. The record achieved massive success, selling more than 3,000,000 copies and spawning two signature hits: in “I Wanna Rock,” and “We’re Not Gonna Take It.” It was those two singles that made Twisted Sister a household name in the headbangers community.
Stay Hungry will always have a place reserved in my music loving heart. It was the first metal record that I purchased upon release. After hearing “We’re Not Gonna Take It” on the radio and seeing the video several times, I knew that I had to own this record. And while Kiss’ Destroyer was the first hard rock record I ever owned, that was purchased used at a garage sale, and only because Scott Thornton couldn’t stop talking about this band called Kiss. He raved about them so much that I had to check out their work. Stay Hungry was different. The purchase of that cassette was entirely my decision and influenced by no one other than me. Purchasing Stay Hungry was one of the best decisions I ever made in my music loving life.
My decision and my cassette tape are now 30 years old. It’s amazing how quickly time goes by. It’s also amazing how well Stay Hungry has held up over the years. Every song on the record was fantastic in 1984 and every song on the record still sounds fantastic to this day. Stay Hungry is a metal masterpiece and should be higher on the list of greatest rock records of all time than it is usually placed. With classics like the aforementioned “I Wanna Rock,” and “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” in addition to the amazing power ballad “The Price,” and fan favorite “S.M.F.,” how could Stay Hungry not be considered one of the greatest rock albums?
This hard rocking masterpiece has aged well and if Stay Hungry were released today, I’m betting that it would still be considered a classic. The music is timeless and the themes span generations. There will always be kids that want to rock and everyone feels that they aren’t going to take it anymore, no matter what age. Hell, I still blast that song in my car from time to time when I’ve had a rough day at work. The beauty of the anthem is that it can be appreciated by almost anyone.
In 2004, Twisted Sister tried to capitalize on the 20th album, adding additional tracks, and titling it Still Hungry. The re-recorded songs did not sound as good as the originals and the album was panned by most critics. There were a lot of rumors that the album was re-recorded because it was the only record that Twisted Sister did not hold the rights to and the re-recording would change that, paving the way for a proper re-mastered version.
In 2009, for the 25th anniversary of the album, the re-mastered anniversary edition was released and included a bonus disc of early demos and unreleased tracks. This version of the record sold much better than the Still Hungry fiasco, which five years later, was still being snubbed by critics and fans alike. It was also for the 25th anniversary that Twisted Sister first played Stay Hungry in its entirety. This was a watershed moment in the band’s career as songs like “Don’t Let Me Down” and “Street Justice” had never been performed live before.
Even now in 2014, songs from Stay Hungry are a staple of live Twisted Sister shows. “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” “I Wanna Rock,” and “The Price,” are almost always played in concert. And every time they are performed, the audience sings along at the top of their lungs. After 30 years, Stay Hungry is still one of the best rock records ever recorded. To me, the album doesn’t get the proper recognition that it deserves, but that’s fitting in the world of Twisted Sister, as the band never got the recognition they deserved either.
0 Ace Frehley’s Space Invader Artwork by Ken Kelly Revealed
Founding KISS guitarist and 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Ace Frehley has tapped long time friend and artist Ken Kelly to create the album cover for his upcoming LP SPACE INVADER, due out July 8th. The reveal comes exclusively through Rolling Stone today. Kelly, who created the iconic cover art for two of KISS’s best selling LPS, Destroyer (1976) and Love Gun (1977), says, “It was very exciting when I was approached with the idea of doing an album cover for Ace.”
Ken Kelly is also widely known for his paintings in the sword and sorcery and heroic fantasy sub genres, most notably for the Conan the Barbarian novels. He continues, “I had spoken to Ace on a few occasions about the possibility, so I was delighted when it actually happened.”
Ace Frehley himself comments, ”I’ve been talking with Ken Kelly since 2007 about painting a CD Cover for me and it has finally happened! I couldn’t be more excited about the new Space Invader cover and the music behind it is also going to rock your world!”
With nearly 35 years between projects, KISS fans will surely be excited about this long-time duo working together again. Kelly concludes, “I am very pleased with the results and proud to play a part of Ace’s continuing successful career!”
ACE FREHLEY will release SPACE INVADER, his first new solo album in five years, via Entertainment One Music (eOne Music) on July 8th, 2014. The album will include at least nine brand new original songs as well as a cover of Steve Miller’s “The Joker.” This album is the first release under Frehley’s new universal deal on eOne Music.
Widely known as the original “Space Ace” and founding guitarist for 16 cumulative years (over 2 tenures) of the multi platinum selling rock band KISS, Frehley is demonstrably the most popular original member. In addition to having the best selling solo album career (vintage or current) among the original foursome, Frehley’s self titled Ace Frehley, released in 1978, went on to sell over one million copies, producing the only Top 40 single, “New York Groove,” from any of the legendary KISS solo albums; (peaking at #13). The massive hit was most recently featured in an episode of cult show Entourage and was also KISS’ second best selling download in 2012, besting such KISS Army anthems as “I Was Made For Lovin’ You,” “Beth” and “Calling Dr. Love” even after 36 years.

Just before Malcolm and Angus Young took us on a debaucherous decent down that Highway to Hell, they joined with their talented brother, George Young and guitarist Harry Vanda, to form the brief, yet musically significant group, The Marcus Hook Roll Band. Back then, there was no such person as Marcus Hook, nor did the ‘band’ originate from the borough of Marcus Hook in Pennsylvania. George and his fellow musicians only ever existed as a band in studio, releasing three singles and one album in the early ’70s. When any of these tracks turn up on internet auction sites today, collectors bankrupt their PayPal accounts to win them. Now, The Marcus Hook Roll Band is releasing their one and onlyalbum, 1973’s Tales of Old Grand-Daddy, on June 3 through Parlophone as CD/vinyl/digital download.

The truth is, if the Marcus Hook Roll Band had ever come out of the studio and played live, then the AC/DC phenomenon that electrified the rock ‘n roll landscape for decades, might never have gotten off the ground. Do we have your attention now? The Marcus Hook Roll Band is one obscure, but significant, persona of the legendary partnership of Harry Vanda and George Young. Their better known personas are the ‘60s beat phenomenon The Easybeats, and later the mysterious entity Flash and The Pan. Dutchman Harry Vanda and Scotsman George Young first met as displaced teenagers in an immigration hostel in Sydney, Australia.

0 GILBY CLARKE EMBARKS ON A WORLDWIDE SUMMER TOUR SELECT U.S.A. DATES WITH QUIET RIOT
Gilby Clarke embarks solo on a worldwide summer tour – kicking off in London, England at The Underworld. Before Clarke crosses the pond, he will deliver to all the fans a new track, which will be announced in the weeks to come.

Best known for his tour of duty with Guns n’ Roses, Gilby Clarke was 17 when he traded Cleveland for Hollywood. A troubadour in the Ronnie Wood tradition: a barroom brawler with attendant Stonesy swagger, plus a catalog of well-written ditties. Clarke joined Guns in the early 90’s as the Use Your Illusion tour kicked off. He appeared on the bands Spaghetti Incident, Live Era ’88-’91 & Greatest Hits albums. Surviving the longest tour in history – Clarke went solo & came out swinging with PawnShop Guitars. A catalog of rock n roll purity: Tijuana Jail, Cure Me… Or Kill Me… & The Stone’s Dead Flowers put this record on many year-end top 10 lists.
Along the way Clarke split time producing worthy bands: LA Guns & The Bronx while touring/recording with Heart, The MC5, Nancy Sinatra & Slash’s Snakepit. Clarke also starred in the CBS TV show Rockstar Supernova with Tommy Lee and joined his new bandmate for an all-star VH1 Rock Honors appearance. Recently, Clarke & his GNR alumni pulled off an amazing Rock N’ Roll Hall Of Fame performance when the band was inducted in 2012 & continues to play with the ex-gunners from time to time in Kings Of Chaos.

Simplicity is something we all strive for in a modern world filled with technology and stress, it is also the title of the new album by TESLA, and it describes the formation of the music it contains.
The band locked themselves away for weeks in isolation with long time co-producer and A&R man Tom Zutaut’s on his 150 acre ranch in the woods of Virginia. There the band discovered and wrote the music that was still inside their imagination and quickly allowed the ideas to flow, transforming those ideas into 14 powerful tracks filled with emotional, powerful subjects relevant to the band’s current state.
From the opening track “MP3” to the explosive “TIME BOMB,” the music takes the listener on a journey with its songs about the ups and downs of life. The lighthearted “CROSS MY HEART” tells the story of a musician on the road proclaiming his commitment to love, while the songs “RISE AND FALL” and “SO DIVINE” speak of the supernatural and the loss of special friends.
The tracks “FLIP SIDE” and “LIFE IS A RIVER” give a lyrical look at the dualities in life, one being humorously about hippies smoking weed for medication, and the other being almost spiritual, suggesting that we just “Let it Flow…”
TESLA immediately jumped into the Brian Wheat’s Sacramento recording studio after returning from Zutaut’s ranch to record one song a day. The idea was to capture the moment rather than spend weeks overdubbing after the fact.
As soon as the band had something recorded, guitar textures and vocals were added. The music was then sent to the legendary mixing engineer Michael Wagener (Metallica, Skid Row, Motley Crue) to put the final touches on the final product.
Ultimately the process of making the album was very simple on a production level, but complex emotionally as the band and co-producer Tom Zutaut poured every ounce of passion and thought into the process during the two month period. This resulted in hours and hours of listening and collaborating over every detail but usually ending up being the most obvious choice; the simplest thing was always the best.

1 A.Z. TRIUMPHS WITH NEW BUZZ-WORTHY ALBUM, ‘BRUTALLY BEAUTIFUL’
The title of A.Z.’s sophomore full-length, ‘Brutally Beautiful,’ could not have been better titled. Upon listening to the disc, you will automatically pick up on the fact that the band are masters at penning tunes that manage to be heavy yet melodic at the same time. Case in point, such instant A.Z. classics as “Reflux,” “Drive the Nails,” and “Lucky Day,” among countless others.
The band – which consists of Clark Walker (vocals/guitar), Josh Smith (guitar), Josh Thompson (guitar), Buck Gillispie (bass), and Drew Hobbs (drums), and whose name is an abbreviation for “Absolute Zero” – issued ‘Brutally Beautiful’ this past Valentine’s Day, and the feedback from fans has been outstanding, as evidenced by comments the band has received upon posting the new album on YouTube:

Influenced by a wide variety of modern day and classic hard rock/heavy metal bands (Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Staind, Sevendust, Mudvayne, etc.), it all comes together within the grooves of ‘Brutally Beautiful.’ And Walker has a few personal favorite tracks of the bunch – “‘Drive the Nails’ and ‘Lucky Day’ would be two of my top song picks for A.Z.. They both tap into the raw emotion and anger that I know fans can connect with on many different levels. ‘Drive the Nails’ is about being hurt, being abused, being mistreated, but in the end all this misfortune makes you stronger as a person. Coming out on the other side better, stronger, more focused than before. ‘Lucky Day’ is about someone’s luck finally turning on them after a long run of mistreating and taking others for granted. Two songs that most everyone can relate in one form or another.” And in addition to the strong tunes, A.Z. also brings the thunder live, and the band will be criss-crossing America through the summer and into the fall.
And fans can expect to witness the new tunes being taken to a whole other level, when A.Z. rocks a venue near you soon. A.Z. is wall-to-wall heaviness, in store for those courageous enough to brave the music of A.Z. 0 Y&T Takes Over Southern California on the 40th Anniversary Tour
It’s been 40 years strong and Y&T has had their share of trials, but on the 2014 World Tour, Dave Meniketti shows that what started as a ground breaking effort four-decades ago continues to be the leader in what makes American Hard Rock the legendary sound fans clamor to witness live on stage. Y&T has pulled out all the stops and is packing venues across the USA and around the world!
With the scheduled dates shown on the band’s website at www.yandtrocks.com, the band has performed over 600 shows in all the prime locations major market rock bands have performed in the past decade, including the past three Monster’s of Rock Cruises, and they continue to sell albums from their recorded history with 28 releases and nearly half a dozen DVD’s showcasing what makes the band’s music a fan favorite in the hard rock genre. Songs penned by the band have been placed in film; national commercial spots and they continue to play on FM radio and across the Internet on a vast array of rock stations that keep Y&T in rotation year after year. So one may ask, how does a band classified as “hair metal” continue to thrive in today’s pop driven market? The answer is revealed in the band’s 40-year history.
In 1974, an Oakland, California based cover band rearranged their line-up and put pen to paper to write original material that spoke of rock and roll interests and featured hard driving guitar licks, straight forward drum beats and lyrical content that fans could sing along to as the band performed. It’s true, rock and roll existed and the band wasn’t re-inventing the wheel – but Y&T were driving that wheel harder and faster. The result would eventually sign the band to A&M Records where Y&T would produce 8 anthemic hard rock albums that would secure their name as a cornerstone in the market that would later bring out bands including Motley Crue, Cinderella, Skid Row and even Metallica! It’s a proven fact, written in black and white; throngs of successful hard rock artists cite Y&T as an inspiration that led them to write and perform the music they do, offering that Y&T paved the way for the So-Cal hard rock explosion … from far up north in Oakland, CA a decade earlier than bands like Guns n’ Roses, Bon Jovi and Poisonstarted popping up on MTV.
Re-launching the 2014 tour after a two week reprieve, Y&T took the stage at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, CA just before9:00pm announcing to the audience that they were granted a full two hours to perform and would be extending their live set to accommodate the time allotment. Opening the show with a recorded track of ripping guitar leads as the lights went down, the band walked on stage to a thundering applause. Interacting on a personal level from the stage with stories from behind the music and an extreme showing of gratitude to fans that have supported the continued success of the band since their inception, Dave Menikettiand the band even spent well over an hour after the show meeting fans and taking photos, signing albums and CDs and reminiscing with fans that told their favorite stories from seeing the band perform over the years.
The band’s line-up since the untimely passing of founding bassist Phil Kennemore in 2011 has included Dave Meniketti (Lead Vocals/Lead Guitar), John Nymann (Rhythm Guitar and Backing Vocals), Brad Lang (Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals) and Mike Vanderhule (Drums/Percussion and Backing Vocals).
