0 GILBY CLARKE EMBARKS ON A WORLDWIDE SUMMER TOUR SELECT U.S.A. DATES WITH QUIET RIOT
Gilby Clarke embarks solo on a worldwide summer tour – kicking off in London, England at The Underworld. Before Clarke crosses the pond, he will deliver to all the fans a new track, which will be announced in the weeks to come.
Recently, Clarke released a new video Tijuana Jail – Originally released in 1994, Clarke updated this fan favorite with a 2014 video version that can see here: https://youtu.be/74-pGsvqnvE.
Best known for his tour of duty with Guns n’ Roses, Gilby Clarke was 17 when he traded Cleveland for Hollywood. A troubadour in the Ronnie Wood tradition: a barroom brawler with attendant Stonesy swagger, plus a catalog of well-written ditties. Clarke joined Guns in the early 90’s as the Use Your Illusion tour kicked off. He appeared on the bands Spaghetti Incident, Live Era ’88-’91 & Greatest Hits albums. Surviving the longest tour in history – Clarke went solo & came out swinging with PawnShop Guitars. A catalog of rock n roll purity: Tijuana Jail, Cure Me… Or Kill Me… & The Stone’s Dead Flowers put this record on many year-end top 10 lists.
Along the way Clarke split time producing worthy bands: LA Guns & The Bronx while touring/recording with Heart, The MC5, Nancy Sinatra & Slash’s Snakepit. Clarke also starred in the CBS TV show Rockstar Supernova with Tommy Lee and joined his new bandmate for an all-star VH1 Rock Honors appearance. Recently, Clarke & his GNR alumni pulled off an amazing Rock N’ Roll Hall Of Fame performance when the band was inducted in 2012 & continues to play with the ex-gunners from time to time in Kings Of Chaos.

0 Chrome Mollie to Perform With Bulletboys At The Token Lounge January 8th
Kicking off the New Year in classic hard rock style, the Token Lounge in Westland, MI will feature Motor City natives Chrome Mollie with the platinum selling recording artists Bulletboys on January 8th.
In their ongoing performance calendar, providing of the best live acts to play Detroit, the Token Lounge brings Chrome Mollie, Detroit’s top party rock band, to the stage on January 8th with national touring act Bulletboys.
Announcing their new partnership with All Hard Rock (www.allhardrock.com), the hard rock promotions label out of Los Angeles, CA, Chrome Mollie adds another top draw performance to their calendar of upcoming events. On the 2013 re-issue of their self-titled EP, now featuring a new studio recording of their popular song “Dreams,” Chrome Mollie is taking the stage with a series of upcoming shows that share the stage with platinum selling recording legends of their own rock genre.
“It’s a win-win partnership for the label,” says All Hard Rock CEO and founder Joe Dolan. “Detroit has long been the home of some of the hardest working bands in the US. Teaming up with an act that produces the quality of music Chrome Mollie brings to the table only makes sense. If you want the genre of hard rock to be well represented, it should be done with a band that writes, records and performs at rock and roll’s peak potential. That band would be Chrome Mollie.”
Recently launching the opening of Detroit’s Diesel Concert Lounge in a post Christmas show that brought fans out in droves, Chrome Mollie closed out 2012 with a distinct vision of what’s coming from the band in 2013.
“We’re playing with Bulletboys in January and we’ve got an upcoming performance with Y+T,” shares Chrome Mollie guitarist Danny Justice. “Fans can join us on Facebook, keep up with our schedule and interact with the band directly there.” Chrome Mollie is found on Facebook atwww.facebook.com/chrome.mollie.

5 Bulletboys – Rocked & Ripped (2011)
I have been a Bulletboys fan since their debut album. Anything that the band slaps their name on, I will probably buy. Call me a sucker if you will! Needless to say, the newly released Bulletboys new cover album, Rocked & Ripped by Cleopatra Records found its way into my possession. When I first read the description of the album, it mentioned cover songs and original tunes. I didn’t find any original tunes on Rocked & Ripped, other than the re-recorded version of “Smooth Up In Ya”.
The song selection on Rocked & Ripped is actually pretty good for a covers album. Bulletboys cover songs by Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Journey, Accept, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Styx, Led Zeppelin, The Scorpions, Elton John & More. Some of these songs have been around on previous Cleopatra/Deadline releases, and some of the songs were newly recorded by the Bulletboys lineup of Marq Torien, Lonnie Vencent, Greg Gatti, Don Bish, and Christ Turbis.
The problem with Rocked & Ripped is Marq Torien & company rarely improve upon the original tunes, nor do they put their own unique spin on them. It kind of sounds like a cover band, covering some of your favorite 80’s hard rock tunes. Marq can sing his ass off, and still sounds great in 2011, but his powerful voice is truly put to the test with this collection. He sounds great on some tunes, and just ok on others. Some of my favorites on Rocked & Ripped include the covers of Styx’s “Renegade”, The Scorpions “Falling In Love”, Pink’s “Fuckin’ Perfect” , Led Zeppelin’s “The Rover” and Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab”.
I haven’t ever heard Pink’s “Fuckin’ Perfect” before, and quite honestly, I like the Bulletboys version better. If there was one song from Rocked & Ripped I would give repeated listens to, it would be this one. I never really cared for the Led Zep tune “The Rover” before, but I like the Bulletboys version found here. I have never listened to Amy Winehouse in my life, so I have never heard her song “Rehab” prior to this. (I went out to Youtube to check out her version). Once again, I like the Bulletboys version better. The re-recorded version of the Bulletboys biggest song “Smooth Up In Ya” does not live up to the original in my opinion.
If you are a diehard Bulletboys fan, you will probably want to pick this up. If not, you may want to save your cash for some of the bigger releases coming to stores in September 2011 (Anthrax, Chickenfoot, Alice Cooper, Sebastian Bach & House of Lords). Rocked & Ripped is an entertaining covers album, but I would rather listen to some new Bulletboys music, than these re-recorded hits.

6 Bulletboys – 10c Billionaire (2009)
It has been six long years since the Bulletboys last release “Sophie”. There is only one original member of this band left, with singer and guitarist Marq Torien. With that being said, you can expect some changes to the Bulletboys sound.
I first heard the track “Road To Nowhere” in an Eddie Trunk Interview in 2008, so I knew this would be a different sounding record, but I wasn’t sure how much. I wasn’t initially impressed with this song, and didn’t expect much from 10c Billionaire. I have been a long time fan of the band, so I bought the CD any way.
The opening cut “Asteroid” is a heavy cut that has a very modern hard rock feel. This is a completely different sound for the Bulletboys. This song would not be out of place on FM rock radio at all. Once the surprise wore off with how different this was, I have grown to like this song a lot.
“Born To Breed” has some monster guitar riffs that sound like the band stole a page out of Slash’s handbook. This song has this rocking sleazy feel that is not unlike Guns N’ Roses. If Marq Torien ever wanted a new job, he should take a look at the singerless Velvet Relvolver. This song should makes that type of statement. Color me impressed!
“Bringing Home The Gun” sounds a lot like a Shinedown track, and I am ok with that. I love Shinedown, and the Bulletboys bring it on this tune!
Wow! Another song with a familiar feel is “Jenna Star”. The funny thing is, this sounds like a Foo Fighters song with different vocals.
I am guessing that the version of “Road To Nowhere” on 10c Billionaire is a little more polished than the one that I heard over a year ago. I like this version a lot more.
The hair metal era of the Bulletboys is gone. I loved the early hits by this band, and surprisingly I like this new album a lot. It took a few listens before I completely appreciated what is happening on this disc. Marq Torien and company have delivered a surprisingly relevant album for today’s rock audience. Old fans of the band might be shocked by their new sound, but I think if you give 10c Billionaire a chance, you will be pleasantly surprised. Not all of the songs work, but there are some solid tunes worth exploring on 10c Billionaire.

4 Chavis Records Signs The Bulletboys!
Chavis Records has announced the signing of the BULLETBOYS to the label for their new worldwide release. The band is currently in the studio finishing the final recordings before heading to the mixing and mastering phase. The project is being recorded at El Garaje Studios in Cape Coral, FL.
Singer Marq Torien comments – “I am extremely excited about signing with a label that really understands what I am about and that my talent still perseveres. This is extremely rare in the business these days.”
The Bulletboys will be heading out on the road this summer in support of their new release with major tour announcements to be released in the very near future. Checkout the new track ‘Road To Nowhere’ here.
HRH Note: Hmmm could this be the Foo Fighters tour that Marq Torien mentioned in Cincinnati?!
