MD, and will continue in to the first week of August. Halestorm will appear as the special guest. 3 Doors Down singer Brad Arnold shares, “We are looking forward to great summer touring with our friends in Daughtry! Everyone had so much fun on the last two legs that we had to add a third and hit some new cities and some outdoor sunshine along the way. See you on the road!”

Over the past several months, the quintet has staged two U.S. legs of the World Tour alongside appearances in Dubai and Mexico, and with Europe, Russia, and a third leg across the U.S. on the books, the band continues to be a major attraction.

Band to Perform Songs from The July 14 Release of LEAVE THIS TOWN, the Follow-Up to Its Quintuple-Platinum Debut
Tickets Go on Sale July 11; Daughtry Will Offer a Free Ticket to the First 50 Fans In Each Market Who Pre-Order LEAVE THIS TOWN at www.DaughtryOfficial.com
Daughtry will embark upon a short club tour this August, starting just weeks after the release of LEAVE THIS TOWN (19 Recordings/RCA Music Group), the follow-up to the band’s Grammy-nominated and quintuple-platinum debut.
Singer Chris Daughtry, bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes, and guitarists Brian Craddock and Josh Steely will use the intimate shows to perform many of the songs from the new album on stage for the first time. The 13-date tour will kick off August 2 in Orlando, FL and end August 22 in Las Vegas, NV. Tickets go on sale July 11. Daughtry will offer limited VIP packages as a pre-sale July 8th – 10th. Additionally, the band will also give a free ticket to the first 50 fans in each market who pre-order LEAVE THIS TOWN from www.DaughtryOfficial.com.
“This club tour is a thank you to our loyal fans. Its a great way for them to see us up close and, more importantly, at a cheap price,” says singer Chris Daughtry.
More than a month before its official release, LEAVE THIS TOWN is already generating considerable buzz for its musical range.
Rolling Stone: “The surprisingly diverse results include everything from the clubby ‘Supernatural’ to the fiddle-driven Vince Gill duet ‘Tennessee Line.'” … “‘Call Your Name’ [is] an anthem reminiscent of ‘November Rain,’ complete with a stirring key change, falsetto vocal runs and an explosive Slash-style guitar climax.”
Billboard: “And while Daughtry’s voice and rock riffs still play center stage to most of the album’s tracks, several songs take some creative chances. Daughtry wrote ‘You Don’t Belong’ on his own; it’s a hard-driving song that wouldn’t sound out of place on an Alice in Chains album.”
Daughtry will begin an extensive North American tour this fall.

Howard Benson Returns As Producer To Follow Up Debut,
Which Sold 5 Million Copies Worldwide
Daughtry unveils the title of its second album Leave This Town (19 Recordings/RCA). Released on July 14, the album once again produced by Howard Benson (All-American Rejects, My Chemical Romance) features a dozen plus songs, including the first single, “No Surprise.”
Chris Daughtry, bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes, and guitarists Brian Craddock and Josh Steely recorded Leave This Town in Los Angeles. Much of the album explores the different paths we take in our search for transcendence. “A lot of it is about how leaps of faith can set us free or tie us down, and how we often find heartache when we run from something and redemption when we run toward something,” says Chris Daughtry.
Musically, the album shifts gears smoothly between arena-rock anthems (“No Surprise,” “Ghost of Me”), hushed ballads (“September”), emotional mid-tempos (“Life After You,” “Learned My Lesson”) and country-influenced (“Tennessee Line”).
Leave This Town is Daughtry’s follow-up to its 2006 GRAMMY-nominated debut, which sold 5 million copies worldwide. The eponymous album spawned a trio of #1 songs, was the largest-selling artist release for two years running, and earned multiple wins at the American Music Awards, the World Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.
NEW SINGLE “NO SURPRISE” OFFERS FIRST GLIMPSE OF NEW ALBUM, THE BAND’S FOLLOW-UP TO ITS MULTIPLATINUM DEBUT
Daughtry will debut “No Surprise,” the first single from the band’s second album, during the Wednesday, May 6 episode of American Idol. It is the first track from their 19 Recordings/RCA July 14 release. Daughtry is currently in the studio finishing the yet to be titled album, which follows the band’s GRAMMY-nominated, quadruple-platinum debut.
“American Idol fans have been so loyal to this band, we wanted to give them the first listen to our new single,” says singer Chris Daughtry.
Daughtry, bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes, and guitarists Brian Craddock and Josh Steely recorded the new album’s 10-plus songs in Los Angeles. Boasting a more gritty sound, the new album features a band sharpened by two years on the road, where they’ve graduated from clubs and theaters to opening arenas for Nickelback and Bon Jovi.
The new album follows the runaway success of Daughtry’s 2006 debut, which scored three #1 songs and was the biggest-selling artist release for two years running. The accolades garnered by Daughtry include multiple wins at the American Music Awards, the World Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.
Active in the fight against global poverty and disease, Daughtry supports the ONE Campaign. Last year, the band performed at both political conventions to raise awareness for the ONE Campaign and encourage first-time voters.
Daughtry’s 2006 album continues to sell well, on the strength of the bands’ fifth single, “What About Now”.
The video can be found at this link. The record company doesn’t want anyone to embed this video, so they shut it off.
According to Billboard.com, Rock Act Daughtry’s four-times platinum self-titled 19/RCA debut will be released in expanded form Sept. 9, led by a newly recorded cover of Foreigner’s “Feels Like the First Time.”
The original album is also appended with acoustic renditions of “What About Now” and “Home” plus a live version of “It’s Not Over.” A bonus DVD boasts videos for “It’s Not Over,” “Home,” “Over You,” “Feels Like Tonight” and “What About Now,” along with live clips for “Breakdown” and “There and Back Again.”
“Daughtry” has sold 4.2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album is No. 78 this week in its 89th week on The Billboard 200.
The band has a month’s worth of live dates on tap beginning Friday (Aug. 15) in Las Vegas.
In 2007, the four hard rocking guys that make up the band, Stereoside, signed with Bieler Brothers records.
Singer Jeff Shields is the former Tallahassee Idol winner. He has rejected many major label offers to sing country music, and joined Stereoside in 2006.
What does Stereoside sound like? Their modern rock sound mimics that of a couple of the better selling acts of late, Hinder, Daughtry and maybe a dash of Alter Bridge.
The CD, So Long is full of radio ready rockers, many of which could easily be hits, especially if Clear Channel allows their stations to play this record.
When singer Jeff Shields voice isn’t over powered by the music, his vocals shine. At times his voice reminds me of another singer that I am fond of, Johnny Gioeli from Axel Rudi Pell.
So Long is armed with a bunch of good songs, including, Sinner, Tattoo, Wasted and My Life. Sinner could be a massive hit for Stereoside. The tune Tattoo is very catchy and requires multiple plays. Wasted has a crazy amount of radio potential. There really isn’t a bad song in the lot.
Hopefully, Stereoside isn’t a band that gets lost in the mix. Their sound may not be original enough to get them the recognition they deserve. Jeff Shields is a big talent, and this disc needs to be heard by all.
Jeff Sheilds – Vocals
Ben Foster – Guitar, and vocals
Chris York – Drums
David Oliver – Bass

We are proud that DAUGHTRY will be opening for Bon Jovi for the US leg of dates running from February through April 2008! Tickets go on sale to the general public for all dates on Saturday, November 10th at 10am, local time.
The guys will be hitting the following cities:
Chris Daughtry was my hands down pick to win the last season of American Idol. Obviously, he didn’t win, but RCA was quick to sign him to a record deal.
Does this CD live up to my expectations? Yes and no.
Chris is a decent singer, with a good voice, but some of the tracks on this CD sound so very familiar to me.
2 or 3 of these tracks could easily have been on a Nickleback CD.
There are, however a couple of stand out heavy tracks (What I Want featuring Slash, and There and Back Again). I like these tracks pretty well. I also like the guitars on It’s Not Over.
My biggest problem with this CD is, there are no songs that stick in my head and can’t wait to hear again. None of the songs are particularly bad. Most of them are above average but they are not very memorable.
A couple of tracks bother me. The song Breakdown was originally recorded by Chris’ band Absent Element, and to me, their version of this track was far better. The version on this CD is too over produced.
Zac Maloy from the Nixons’ song, Used to was also used. I think his version may have also been a tad bit better.
Even though I am not impressed by all of the tracks on this CD, quite a few are radio ready, and if all goes well, Chris could have a couple of hits on his hands.
I do not think that this CD is going to appeal to the rockers that prefer their music on the harder side. If the Nickleback fans out there give this a chance, it may sell well.
Definitely listen to this before you buy it.
