8 Saints of the Underground (Release Year – 2008)

Jani Lane’s side project has finally seen the light of day, and has been released by Warrior Records. The timing of this release is kind of odd, with Jani recently reuniting with his former band, Warrant.

Nonetheless, The Saints of the Underground new disc is here, and I believe that this is Jani Lane’s most solid effort since the Warrant CD, Dog Eat Dog from 1992.

On this disc, you get two cover songs and eight original tunes. The first is American Girl by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. SOTU has increased the tempo on this song by a half step or so, and I like their version quite a bit, although it is very true to the original.

The second cover song is Moonlight Mile by the Rolling Stones. I didn’t really care for the Stones’ version of this song, and SOTU didn’t do anything to improve upon it. Their version is o.k. but It seems like an odd song for them to cover, especially when the Rolling Stones have so many great upbeat songs in their catalog.

The opening track, Dead Man Shoes sounds like a lost Warrant hit from the early 90’s. I like this tune a lot. Tomorrow Never Comes is another solid tune, and a good follow up to keep the pace going on this record. Good Times has a decent intro, which gave me high hopes for this song. It is a mid tempo number that came across as semi-average tune. It took a few listens for me to get into this tune more. I wish they would have made this one a little heavier, but it is, what it is.

The song Exit, didn’t really excite me too much. This sounds like an extra tune that was cut off of a Warrant album. Just when I was starting to lose faith in this record, Signs of Life came at exactly the right time. This tune has a heavier edge that some of the other songs on this record are lacking. It is a cool tune.

Bobby Blotzer’s drums stand out a little more to me, on the tune Bruised. I like the music on this tune, a lot more than the lyrics. Jimmy is a solid closer for this album. This song has a guitar lick that reminds me a whole lot of some old Thin Lizzy tunes.

All in All, Saints of the Underground have released a pretty good CD for the most part. Their are a couple of weak spots, but there are great songs here too.

Warrant and Jani Lane fans will eat this record up! For more information on Saints of the Underground, and to preview six of the songs from Love the Sin, Hate the Sinner, please visit the SOTU myspace page.

Judas Priest will be releasing their sprawling double disc concept album, Nostradamus via Columbia Records on Monday, June 16th in the UK/Europe, and a day later in the US on Epic Records.

Long in the works, Nostradamus takes epic storytelling to a whole new level, as it recounts the life of this mysterious, world-known 16th Century French prophet. Some of the events that Nostradamus experts have interpreted as his predictions include the great fire of London in 1666, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and most recently, 9-11, among countless other renowned events.

“As in any concept piece, the lifeline needs to be of a solid source, taking the music over many levels of interest and perception,” points out singer Rob Halford. “Nostradamus” contains new frontiers explored and defined. The sense of adventure and the journey we undertook bringing the man”s life alive with metal was a real labour of love.”

As with all new Priest releases, the group – singer Rob Halford, guitarists Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer Scott Travis – will embark on a mammoth worldwide tour in support of “Nostradamus.” Priest will be performing at the 2008 Download Festival – on a bill also featuring Kiss – which will serve as a “homecoming” of sorts for the group, as they performed at the first-ever “Monsters of Rock Festival” at Donington Park in 1980.

Since 1974, Judas Priest has been one of heavy metal”s most successful bands, issuing such all-time classic albums as 1980″s British Steel, 1982″s Screaming for Vengeance, and 1990″s Painkiller, and such arena-rocking anthems as ‘Breaking The Law’, ‘Living After Midnight,” and ‘You”ve Got Another Thing Comin”. However, Priest”s influence goes far beyond their music – they were the first metal band to embrace the “leather biker look,” a fashion that has since become synonymous with the musical genre. Additionally, Halford”s powerful four-and-a-half octave vocal range and the twin guitar harmonies of Downing and Tipton have been “studied” by countless metal bands in Priest”s wake.

“The Nostradamus album – above all others – is perhaps the one I’m most proud of,” says Tipton. “Whilst in essence and character still very much Judas Priest, it has afforded the opportunity to explore areas of classical and operatic dimensions that the band normally wouldn’t. As a guitarist and writer it has inspired me to greater heights and opened new doors to intrigue and passion. From start to finish, it will take you through a magical experience filled with light, shade, drama, melody and emotion that reflects this unique man and his life.”

“For me, Nostradamus has been a musical journey without comparison,” adds Downing. “The intrigue and mystery that surrounds this revered man has expanded my perception of heavy metal to the highest plateau and enabled me to reach the outer limits of my imagination and transport unique feelings and emotions to the instrument that allows me to express myself.”

In addition to the regular jewel case double CD version of the album, collectors will undoubtedly be interested in hunting down a copy of a Deluxe Double CD housed in a 48 page hardbound book package. But that”‘s not all – a Super Deluxe Box-set version will also be available with triple vinyl, the double CD, an expanded booklet and a poster.

Most bands of this high stature would be happy to play it safe. But not Judas Priest, who continue to take chances and break new ground. No other rock band could have pulled off such a grand statement, and Judas Priest have raised the bar once more with “Nostradamus.”

As to why they chose to make a concept album about Nostradamus, Tipton explains: “We didn’t – he chose us. We feel it was meant to be!”

To get a taste of what awaits for you within Nostradamus, go to Livenation.com/judaspriest on Monday, April 21st to download exclusive free MP3 of the album”s title track, as well as view the world premiere of the album cover art.

22 Whitesnake – Good To Be Bad (Release Year – 2008)

Could 2008 be the Year of the Snake?

Whitesnake has returned with their first new studio album since the 1997 album, Restless Heart.

Before I go any further in this review, I will admit, I am biased towards Whitesnake. They have been one of my favorite bands for years, and I have been anxiously awaiting this disc. I am also a long time fan of guitarist, Doug Aldrich. I am quite familiar with his work prior to joining Whitesnake (Lion, Bad Moon Rising, House Of Lords, Hurricane, Burning Rain) and am also a little biased towards him as well.

With that being said, I have played Good to Be Bad several times, and have found it quite to my liking. Aldrich’s guitar sound on this record is fairly close to that of John Sykes playing on the Slide It In, and the multi-platinum, self titled album from 1987. John Sykes is not an easy guitar player to imitate, and I am not sure if that is what Adrich was trying to achieve with his playing. Nonetheless he shreds on this disc, and his guitar work is absolutely killer! He has achieved that signature guitar sound that was present on the two most successful Whitesnake albums of all time.

David Coverdale is no spring chicken at 56 years old, and yet his vocals are excellent as always.

The band could have a bunch of hits on their hands, especially with the tracks, Best Years, All I Want All I Need, All For Love and Good To Be Bad.

The song All For Love sounds so much like a lost Thin Lizzy tune, it is scary, and yet, incredibly cool. This is an amazing new song, and one of my new favorites.

I can hear some 70’s style Whitesnake in the songs, Summer Rain and ‘Til The End of Time. Both tunes have more of a bluesy feel to them. It is good to hear Whitesnake revisting their roots, even if it is an different set of musicians for this record. I can see the lighters and cell phones coming out, if the band chooses to play either one of these songs live.

The cool thing about Good To Be Bad is, I hear different things each time I listen to it. I will not tire of hearing guitar work this good in a long long time. This album is already on top of my play list and is going to take a monster of an album to surpass this disc in 2008!

Don’t hesitate to pick this one up! This is an awesome return to form for Whitesnake, and is easily one of their top discs ever! Good Job Whitesnake! Now bring your tour to the U.S. soon please!!

Classic rockers from down under Koritni have set an April 22 release date for a two-disc DVD+CD set that compiles 3 hours of live performance, Red Live Joint, filmed and recorded during 3 different shows of the ‘Lady Luck Tour 2007’. It features 15 tracks from the Lady Luck and Green Dollar Colour albums, one brand new song called Nobody’s Home along with various covers from AC/DC, The Angels or Skid Row. The band also performed a special Guns N’ Roses tribute show to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Appetite For Destruction, included in this set.

0 The Answer’s L.A. Story

The Answer Guitarist Paul Mahon issued the following update at his website, on the Answer’s first visit to Los Angeles. This is a good read, and I though you all would like to read this.

After our little trip to Texas we set off for our 1st westcoast experience. It was time to hit the city of Angels! I was quite excited about visiting L.A. The 1st music I was passionate about was of course the sunset strip scene of the 80’s Motley Crue, faster Pussycat,G’n’r, L.A. Guns,W.A.S.P. Ratt and bands like Janes Addiction,Rhcp and Fishbone who came in spite of or as a reaction against that scene ,I liked them all.then I discovered the west coast bands of the 60’s buffalo Springfield and their off shoots csny etc, Love and my favourites Spirit. So visiting L.A. had the undercurrent of being a bit of a musical pilgrimage.
Flying into LA.X you get a great view of the skyline, not as many skyscrapers as you would expect but an amazing view of the hills. We touched down still a little hung-over from Austin and headed for sunset boulevard,we stayed across the street from the hyatt and the comedy store. Round the corner you can hit La cienega and go look for a liquor store with ryan adams or head up the street to the whisky, the viper room, the roxy, the key club or the Rainbow. We went straight to the rainbow for margaritas, the drink of choice for this trip.
The purpose of our trip to L.A. was to meet producers for the next record and play some shows, one in the spaceland ballroom in silverlake and in the infamous viper room on sunset. We met our old friend David Coverdale in the sunset marquis for Guinness and whiskies on st pats day and he kept us entertained with tales of the 1st time he came to L.A. with Deep Purple. We also went to the key club to see the phenomenon that is Metal School. Its basically some guys dressing up like an 80’s hair metal band doing note perfect renditions all the hits of that bygone era.The playing is impressive and the music is fun, they have also incorporated an element of humour into it , basically every groupie joke that’s ever been told in between songs, on the surface it can all be taken with a pinch of salt but there is no sense of irony to the humour, its just full on misogyny and borderline racist, that coupled with the fact that they didn’t seem to know any Vain made me leave after 20mins and head to the rainbow, they have “no respect” on the jukebox there!
On Tuesday before rehearsal we got to head up to Griffith park observatory, the one from rebel without a cause. You get the most amazing view of L.A. from up there and you can get pretty close to the hollywood sign too. After that we went to S.I.R. rehearsal studios and got in a little practice for Wednesday’s show. S.I.R. has abit of history, the picture on the back of appetite for destruction is from there, but looks like any other rehearsal studio, when you’ve seen one you’ve seen em all but they do have some cool guitars in there.
Wednesday came knockin and it was time for our 1st show in L.A. A short journey out to silverlake and we were at the Spaceland ballroom. I guess its abit like a barfly though not as dirty and slightly more welcoming. It was a showcase gig for us with every producer, booking agent and A and R man in town attending. Ah well no skin off our collective nose we’d done this sort of thing once or twice before and did what we always do, got onstage and rocked liked motherf**kers and it was one of the best shows we’d done in a while. 4 new songs made an appearance in the set and worked really good, its exciting and satisfying when you add in new songs and they make the set better and take it to a new level!
Thursday was a busy day for us. First we had dinner with redd kross then we had a photo shoot to attend at the sunset marquis. Robert.M.Knight was shooting us. Robert was the 1st guy to shoot led zep in the states and is a legend in the business, in the prescence of such company it would not be out of the ordinary for one to be nervous but Robert was a pleasure to work with and everyone was pretty comfortable with the situation straight away. He was also making a film, a documentary on guitar players in rock’n’roll including most of the guys he has photographed over the years, everyone from jeff beck, steve vai, carlos Santana, slash, billy gibbons etc.So we filmed a short interview for that too. After this we hot footed it to the viper room.Playing the viper room is a rite of passage for any band on their 1st trip to L.A. Again looks wise it isn’t dissimilar to a barfly maybe slightly nicer but there is the added bonus of table service and $1000 bottles of crystal on the wine list, it would have been rude not to order one bottle though im still paying that one off! We were on 1st so it was showcase rules again, no sound-check just get up and go for it and come out bangin for 30 mins, which we did and it was apretty good show. Aftershow we ended up in the sunset marquis bar , had a whisky with kerry king and may have been asked to leave due to noise pollution and wait a minute did Lars Ulrich just walk past???
Anyway Friday was our last day in the city of Angelas so we skipped breakfast cracked open a miller lite, hit the cocktail bar and went down the beach in Venice. Later we went on a tour of bars in west hollywood and that was pretty much it, a hangover and a long haul flight back to N.I. beckoned on sat. Thanks to everyone who came to the shows, all at Jensen P.R ,Robert Knight, Zematis guitars, Prs guitars, craig for making us sound good and last but not least Jannicke for driving us everywhere and more importantly taking care of my guitars, bang those rocks baby! Cu all soon. Cheers,
Paul….

2 Judas Priest Nostradamus Details!

  • April 16, 2008
  • by Rob Rockitt
  • · Entertainment · Hard Rock Music · Hard Rock News · Music

The following report is courtesy of Greg Prato from Billboard.com:

Over two years in the making, Judas Priest will finally unveil its 16th studio album, Nostradamus, June 17 via Epic in North America and a day earlier internationally.

A double-disc set that tells the story of the 16th century prophet, Michel de Nostredame (whose name is often ‘Latinized’ as Nostradamus), the release is Priest’s first-ever concept album, and was recorded throughout 2006 and 2007 at Old Smithy Studio in the UK.

“Making Nostradamus was a new experience for us in Judas Priest, insomuch as this was going to be a conceptual writing and recording event,” Priest singer Rob Halford tells Billboard.com. “His life is well-documented, so for us it was all about taking the significant episodes he went through, and then with the right emotion, create music and lyrics that would convey them.”

On the album, Halford, guitarists K.K. Downing and Glenn Tipton, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer Scott Travis spread their stylistic wings, experimenting with symphonic orchestration and choirs.

Three configurations of Nostradamus will be issued. The most common will be a regular jewel-cased double CD, but there will also be a “CD deluxe hardbound version,” which features a 48-page booklet, while a “super deluxe version” will include three vinyl records (in addition to the CD deluxe packaging, plus a poster).

While there have been some European dates announced in support of Nostradamus (the chief one being a performance as part of this year’s Download Festival in England, which also features KISS and MOTÖRHEAD, among others), there will soon be an announcement about Priest’s plans for a U.S. tour.

In the meantime, Halford dropped a hint as to what’s in store for the group’s later headline dates. “As we recorded and listened to the music, and much like a lot of Priest songs, you cannot help but see images in your mind. We constantly thought about special effects and visual elements that will connect musically that we want to use onstage when we will perform all of ‘Nostradamus’ live,” he says. “Again, like every song we compose, the transition from studio to concert is one we think about and make sure we can deliver the goods.”

Here is the track list for Nostradamus:

Dawn Of Creation – “Prophecy”
Awakening – “Revelations”
The Four Horsemen – “War”
Sands Of Time – “Pestilence And Plague”
“Death”
Peace – “Conquest”
“Lost Love”
“Persecution”
Solitude – “Exiled”
“Alone”
Shadows In The Flame – “Visions”
Hope – “New Beginnings”
Calm Before The Storm – “Nostradamus”
“Future Of Mankind”

30 Cruefest – What is Your Take On It?

  • April 16, 2008

  • · Entertainment · Hard Rock Music · Hard Rock News · Music

The Colossal Motley Crue announcement has come and gone. Other than the announcement, of Motley Crue’s new single, Saints of Los Angeles getting an early release on ITunes, and as a download on the Rockband video games, there were no real surprises. Most of the information regarding Cruefest was leaked over a month ago.

Their was no real shock that Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Trapt and Sixx A.M. was going to be on the road with Motley Crue.

Nikki Sixx said the criteria for picking bands for this new rock festival was a) each band had to have some hits, and b) they had to live the rock and roll and lifestyle.

I can’t deny the logic too much. If you are going to go on the road with Motley Crue, you will certainly have to be able to hold your own.

Buckcherry is a solid choice. Especially with their newfound success, with their CD 15.

Sixx A.M. is a no brainer choice since Nikki Sixx is a member of that band as well.

I have read comments by many people questioning the addition of Trapt, and Papa Roach. Most of them are not complimentary.

Aside from Motley Crue, all of the other acts on the bill came from the mid 90’s to the 00’s. This can’t be called an 80’s has been festival, as Motley Crue is the only act from that era of rock.

Is the addition of Trapt and Papa Roach smart marketing? It could be. I don’t know how big the fan bases are for those two bands, but this festival could draw three generations of rock fans, instead of teenagers and twenty somethings that might pay to see this show. Papa Roach and Trapt are two of a short list of rock acts that have managed to sell over a million albums since the year 2000.

Could this be the festival that brings rock back to the mainstream? Time will tell. It is certainly an interesting approach, and I applaud Motley Crue for trying to bring rock back to the masses.

As far as the Saints of Los Angeles single, I didn’t think it was all that great, but you know what, it gets in your head. I bet they will have a hit with this tune!

I will be in the stands when Cruefest hits Cincinnati. Are you going to go?

Please comment and tell me what you think about Cruefest!

0 Julian Angel – Choreography Sucks – (Release Year – 2007)

  • April 16, 2008

  • · Entertainment · Hard Rock Music · Hard Rock News · Music

I don’t know what to label this style of music. It doesn’t really fit into any one genre, it’s glam, disco, rap, funk, dance, techno, electronic and country all piled together. It’s slightly weird stuff and a curious mix.

Things open with ‘Rock with a Slam’ and for me it isn’’t a good indication of things to come. This is verging on rock but unfortunately it has Kid Rock type rap all through it.

Looking at the track list I can’t help but wonder what the idea (or perhaps lack of ideas) is behind all the double whammy song titles. ‘Oh La La’, ‘Bling Bling’ and ‘Jump Jump’ for example. ‘Jump Jump’ is rappy and ‘Bling Bling’ goes into country territory but both are annoying and naturally repetitive lyrically. While ‘Boob Boob Booty’ may sound like it should be fun, this is another one that makes me want to tear my hair out with one of the most irritating ditties in musical history, although this could mean it takes off with a vengeance in dance clubs.

‘Sucker Punch’ is probably one of the better tunes on Choreography Sucks. It has a cool beat and groove that is quite catchy but I can’t really find anything else here I like a great deal. ‘Give the Radio Back’ is rather melodic but sickly. ‘ Sumthin’ Huge’ is probably the worst, sounding like a cross between glam and disco gone wrong. Although I couldn’’t help but smirk at the corny line “hey baby dig the horny horns” and then we get a blast of horns from the brass section.

Julian Angel is obviously a talented musician, being pretty much a one-man band and he can sing o.k. and while ‘Choreography Sucks’ does not completely suck, it mostly does. This really doesn’’t float my boat and I can’’t say I will be listening to this again in a hurry, but if you want to hear something kind of innovative and a little different, give it a whirl.

You can hear songs from Choreography Sucks at Julian Angel’s myspace page.

0 Fury UK – Salvation (Release Year – 2008)

  • · Entertainment · Hard Rock Music · Hard Rock News · Music · Video

Manchester’s Fury UK has a new CD single out, and it is a damn good one at that.

This disc had three songs filled with heavy metal fury, that has me wanting to hear more by this talented three piece band. The tunes on Salvation sound like long lost tracks from the NWOBHM era of rock.

What impresses me most on this disc is how tight the music is. Chris Appleton is a pretty good guitar player and vocally, he reminds me a lot of Armored Saint’s John Bush.

The production on this disc is very good. I love how I can hear the cymbals crash as if drummer Martin McNee was bashing the skins in my living room.

My only complaint is that I need to hear more! Three songs by Fury UK is not enough! If the three songs on this disc are any indication to the future of this band, then Fury UK will be huge before long.

Check ’em out for yourself at the band’s myspace page!

Rating:Out of 10

Track Listing:
1. Salvation
2. Manslaughter
3. Lost in Forever

Fury UK is:

Chris Appleton- Vocals, lead guitar
Adam Cropper-Bass, backing vocals
Martin McNee-drums

0 ARTIST SERVICE Announces New Releases in May 2008

  • April 14, 2008
  • by Rob Rockitt
  • · Entertainment · Hard Rock Music · Hard Rock News · Music

ARTIST SERVICE is proud to announce new releases in May 2008

We are very proud to announce the signing of two excellent German bands from the melodic genre.

MIDNITE CLUB, melodic rockers from South-West Germany, fronted by renowned vocalist Carsten “Lizard” Schultz (EVIDENCE ONE) will release their second album “Circus Of Life”, a brilliant melodic rock effort with loads of catchy melodies.

MIDNITE CLUB “Circus Of Life” – release: 5/30/2008 (Artist Service / MBM)

The main man behind MIDNITE CLUB is guitar virtuoso Steffen “Seegi” Seeger, student of guitar legend JOEY TAFOLLA. Steffen also recorded critically acclaimed “The End Of Never” album of ARTENSION guitarist ROGER STAFFELBACH and recently produced the third album “Nomad” of US guitarist IAIN ASHLEY HERSEY.
Behind the mike no other than first class melodic rock singer Carsten “Lizard” Schultz of EVIDENCE ONE could be recruited to do the vocals for “Circus Of Life”.
Also Bernd Herrman, drummer for successful German all-star project SOEHNE MANNHEIMS is part of the project and thus MIDNITE CLUB´s track “One Night Like Lovers” was Bernd Herrmann’s contribution to the SOEHNE MANNHEIMS sampler “Soehne, Mond & Sterne”, which successfully remained in the German album charts for several weeks in 2007.
The album is also featuring Ferdy Doernberg (AXEL RUDI PELL, EDEN’S CURSE, ex-ULI JON ROTH) who plays the keys on the KENNY LOGGINS cover “Danger Zone”.
The line up is completed by keyboarder Holger Seeger (IAIN ASHLEY HERSEY) and bassist Andy Keller.

“Circus Of Life” can be best described as a successful effort to combine the best influences of AOR and melodic rock along with the energy of classic hard rock music. The songs are well structured, providing catchy melodies and huge choruses. The skills of the experienced musicians round off this very warm sounding album.

CLUSTERHEAD,
a four piece melodic metal band hailing from Regensburg are pushing into the scene with their debut album “Times Of No Trust”, following the tradition of european influenced melodic heavyrock.

CLUSTERHEAD “Times Of No Trust” – release: 5/30/2008 (Artist Service / MBM)

In 2005 CLUSTERHEAD was formed by 4 musicians who had one single goal: delivering the kind of music to the people they were influenced by from their early days on.
Having grown up with the classic sound of their idols such as Judas Priest, Scorpions, Iron Maiden etc. singer Rene Brandt, guitarist Frank Stadlbauer, bassist Andreas Meyer and drummer Ruediger Tonn are following their roots with their debut album “Times Of No Trust”.

CLUSTERHEAD´s sound is driven by a tight working rhythm section, elobarated guitar work and crowned by Rene´s warm and melodic voice. Tracable melodies and huge choruses are trademarks to the band and although their sound can be described as melodic metal it´s not limited to just reach fans of this genre. Songs like “Poisened”, “Deep In The Night” or the balladesque “Ghosts” are fit for the playlists of every rock radio station.

CLUSTERHEAD already released 3 EP´s, which have been welcomed by the press, comparing the band with genre heroes such as BONFIRE, AXEL RUDI PELL and PINK CREAM 69.

They also gained intensive live experience by continously playing regional and national venues. Just a few weeks ago CLUSTERHEAD proved to be an awesome live band by supporting US power metal heroes CAGE in Southern Germany and thus surely could add lots of new fans to their constantly growing fanbase.

FINAL AXE “The Axe Of The Apostles” – release: 5/30/2008 (Retroactive / MBM)

In his review of this album, HM Magazine editor, Doug Van Pelt writes, “…those of you who remember FINAL AXE (who go all the way back to the late 80’s) will be glad to know that this is easily their best album. If Saint were to win ‘Comeback of the Year’ for 2004’s In the Battle, then this album would win it this year.”

In fact, some might say that with The Axe Of The Apostles, FINAL AXE has captured heavyweight status by showcasing their catchiest, most accessible set of tunes available yet. While retaining its precision guitar assault and quasi-Rob Halford vocals, the band proves they are also masters of melody. In true metal form, The Axe Of The Apostles rarely gives you a chance to come up for air, displaying a real penchant for stadium ready anthems.

Drums are handled by Stryper’s Robert Sweet, whose busy, virtuosic rhythmic base pushes Bill Menchen (guitar) and Simon Tyler (vocals) to the most energetic and impassioned performances of their careers.

Menchen and Tyler have also released two albums with Titanic (Maiden Voyage & Screaming In Silence).

THE SEVENTH POWER “The Seventh Power” – release: 5/30/2008 (Retroactive / MBM)

THE SEVENTH POWER is a band fronted by Bill Menchen, guitarist for both Titanic and Final Axe. All drum tracks on this album were performed by Stryper’s Robert Sweet. Robert references this record as containing some his most accomplished work to date!

Retroactive Records is thrilled to unleash this monumental classic metal release upon the world! Fans of classic Ozzy and Black Sabbath will receive this with open arms. No frantic, speed metal anthems here. Instead, you’ll discover a doomy, sinister elegance built on Menchen’s minor key innovations. THE SEVENTH POWER delivers a seemingly endless supply of crushingly loud and heavy riffs with which to bludgeon audiences into sweet, willing oblivion.
