Apple and the major music labels recently partnered to debut a groundbreaking digital music storage service dubbed iCloud. With iCloud, fans’ iTunes Store music purchases will now automatically sync to the multiple iDevices, Macs and PCs associated with their AppleIDs, without users having to physically connect to “transfer purchases.”
Apple will also launch a $25/year iTunes Match service this fall that will go one step further and sync songs not purchased on iTunes. With iTunes Match, fans will soon be able to store their entire music collections – including tracks purchased on Amazon MP3 or copied from a personal CD – in their iCloud accounts.
