Jumper reunites two former cast members of Star Wars, Samuel Jackson and Hayden Christensen.
No light sabres are found in Jumper, but once again, Hayden Christensen(David Rice), finds himself at odds with Samuel Jackson (Roland).
The story quickly establishes David Rice as a Jumper (someone who can teleport to any location he can think of).
You eventually find out that he is not the only one who can jump.
There are a second group of characters called Paladin’s who have made it their goal to kill all Jumpers. This puts the Jumpers, and their families and friends in danger. That is the premise behind the whole movie.
The story itself is kind of weak, but the action, locations, and special effects, almost make up for the weakness in Jumper.
The cast (Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson, Samuel Jackson, Jamie Bell, Michael Rooker and Diane Lane) is well rounded, and they make the best of the story that they have to work with. Jumper isn’t the best movie I have seen this year, but it is mildly entertaining.
Science Fiction fans may get a kick out of this flick. This movie takes you to another place, and will have you wishing that you could Jump!
