Koritni’s new album Welcome to the Crossroads will be released in the UK & Europe on 4/9/12. Koritni is now streaming their second single “Better off Dead” at this link. Give this song a listen, it kicks ass!
The release date for KORITNI’s new studio album WELCOME TO THE CROSSROADS is now confirmed for Monday 12th March through Verycords / Warner Music France. Distributors and release dates for specific territories will be announced shortly. Five years on from the Lady Luck debut album in January 2007, Welcome To The Crossroads will be Koritni’s third studio album.
The new album pictured here features artwork illustrated by Mark Wilkinson, who already worked on some previous releases (Game Of Fools, Red Live Joint, No More Bets).
The band also reunited with long-time engineers Mike “Fraze” Fraser, Dan Leffler and Dean Maher to record & mix the album throughout 2011 at various locations like Megaphon Studios in Sydney, Hipposonic or the Warehouse Studios in Vancouver. Once again after his work on Game Of Fools, Ryan Smith performed the Mastering at Sterling Sound, New York.
For the first time in Koritni history, a few special guests were asked to take part of the project, and they kindly agreed. So it is with honor the band can announce that Jeff Scott Soto (WET, Journey), Jeff Waters (Annihilator) & Rusty Brown (Electric Mary) will be featured on the album.
The first single Down At The Crossroads is now available as a free digital download MP3 !

Aussie rockers Koritni are back with their follow up disc to 2007’s excellent debut, “Lady Luck“.
On “Game of Fools” Koritni you will find some pretty rocking tunes powered by the excellent vocals of Lex Koritni.
The CD kicks off with the hard rocking, up tempo number “155”. I heard a clip of this song and bought the disc immediately. This song sets the stage for a bunch of cool rockers on “Game of Fools”.
The songs “Roll the Dice” and “By My Side” reminds me a lot of Buckcherry. I bet Josh Todd wishes he wrote these tunes. Both songs are better than a lot of the stuff on Black Butterfly.
“V8 Fantasy” is a song that seems to be tailor made for NASCAR. Ok, not really, but if the NASCAR execs hear this tune, they will probably want to use it. Some of the lyrics are:
“Drop the clutch and ride with me
A small block V8 fantasy
A torque ain’t cheap
With a 5 point 2 litre engine running hot
I tailgate slap it back to fourth
Hit the straight with a sling shot
The speed of lights just a gear away
Burning octane in my veins
A sideways slide always in control
People say that I’m insane
400 horses in my engine bay
Well I’ve got it made… yeah”
If this kick ass tune doesn’t pump you up, nothing else will. This is one of my favorite songs of 2009.
“You Vs. Me” breaks up the pace of this album but taking it down a couple of notches. It is the first mid-tempo tune on “Game of Fools”. This song could easily be a massive hit for Koritni. What an awesome tune!!
“Nobody’s Home” is a quick upbeat rocker that will have you breaking out the air guitar.
By all rights, “The Devil’s Daughter” ought to be a radio hit everywhere. Lex Koritni’s voice shines on this excellent album closer.
“Game of Fools” is no sophomore slump for Koritni. This is a solid hard rock album all the way through, and a worthy disc to add to your collection! I have been playing this CD for over three weeks now, and it seems to get better with every listen.
02. Stab In The Back
03. Roll The Dice
04. V8 Fantasy
05. You Vs Me
06. By My Side
08. Nobody’s Home
09. Game of Fools
10. Keep Me Breathing
11. Tornado Dreaming
12. Tornado Dreaming II
13. The Devil’s Daughter

Thanks to Classic Rock Magazine, I discovered a new band from the land down under, Koritni. Sonically, Koritni has a sound similar to AC/DC, but lead vocalist Lex Koritni has a great voice that differs from the other AC/DC like bands. He has a cool raspiness, and almost a twinge of southern rock ala Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Johnny Van Zant and quite similar to Cormac Neeson from The Answer. Give it a listen and you may hear something different, but nonetheless, I like his voice, and the sound of this band.
Red Light Joint is a pretty damn good rocker to start this disc off with. This is a great foot stomping rocker with a cool Angus Young like guitar riff.
Under the Overpass is the song that I first heard from this band. This was on the February CD sampler in Classic Rock Magazine. This too is a very good upbeat rocker.
Heaven Again is an excellent mid tempo rocker that reminds me a little of Buckcherry in sound.
Highway Dream and Never Say Goodbye are both fun little rockers. My only complaint on these songs is they are a little short, clocking in less than 3 and half minutes. Both songs are extremely catchy though and a good listen.
Sick Again is a funky rocker with another killer guitar riff by lead guitarist Eddy Santacreu. This is a well written song that has a nice groove to it. It is one of my favorites on this disc.
Not Your Man is the first track that I thought was average at best. Even at that, I found it listenable, it just isn’t one of my favorites. I See the Light is a track that I could easily hear on the radio. It has a cool guitar groove to it, and is very upbeat.
If it wasn’t for the guitar work on Starving Fast, I probably wouldn’t care for this track very much. Just like Not Your Man, I thought this one was average at best.
Lady Luck could easily be a moderate hit on U.S. rock radio if given a chance. This is a pretty solid track.
Got To Get You Into My Life is an extremely cool cover of the Beatles song. This version is a bit more rocking than the Beatles version, but still stays fairly true to the original song. Great!
Ain’t No Love Song is a low to mid tempo heavy bass laden rocker. It is a solid track, but not one of the better songs on Lady Luck.
If you have 10 bucks that is burning a hole in your pocket, you can download this now from ITunes, or you can pick this up from some of the great CD retailers that I have listed at the Hard Rock Hideout. This CD is a must have for straight forward hard rock fans, and especially those that like bands like AC/DC, Rhino Bucket, Salty Dog and possibly some Buckcherry. Lady Luck is one of my early favorites in 2007. Check it out!!

KORITNI TO RELEASE FIRST LIVE CD/DVD ‘RED LIVE JOINT’ ON APRIL 22, 2008,
VIA BAD REPUTATION
Classic rockers from down under Koritni have set an April 22 release date for a two-disc DVD+CD set that compiles 3 hours of live performance, Red Live Joint, filmed and recorded during 3 different shows of the ‘Lady Luck Tour 2007’. It features 15 tracks from the Lady Luck and Green Dollar Colour albums, one brand new song called Nobody’s Home along with various covers from AC/DC, The Angels or Skid Row. The band also performed a special Guns N’ Roses tribute show to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Appetite For Destruction, included in this set.
The shows were filmed by 10 cameras and the audio is presented in stereo & 5.1 surround sound. The artwork has been done by Mark Wilkinson (Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Marillion, The Darkness …) and the release will be first available as a strictly limited digipack of 1800 units !
What this CD/DVD is intended to do is give a great memory of the last two years of touring with 60 shows across Europe & Australia, and it’s also an opportunity for the band to thank their fans for their support…
After some holidays and other activities around the globe, the whole band has now reunited in Sydney to write, arrange and rehearse new tracks for the next album, to be released in 2009. Until then … enjoy RED LIVE JOINT !
