1 Steel Panther Invades Hollywood’s Tastiest Porn Shop to give you All You Can Eat
Lets face it, if you haven’t anally followed the latest sexploits of the legendary and almighty Steel Panther than you either have a good day job or you spend far too much time loitering in the boys locker room at school. Do you like Boobs? The four biggest boobs rockin’ the East Side of West Hollywood have just released a colossal new CD, epically titled “All You Can Eat,” and one good serving leaves you with nothing to be desired.
When Steel Panther released 2009’s “Feel The Steel,” fans clamored for a closer look at real men donning real spandex in front of real Marshall Stacks; and the result was an overwhelming display of debauchery. Critics called it a joke and said it wouldn’t last! What does a critic know anyway?
When the band’s demanding tour schedule finally slowed down to just 8 shows a week, the band let their “Balls Out” in 2011 to an album that nearly cleared through 13,000 copies sold in it’s first week of independent release and instantly became the highest illegally downloaded display of sexual disorientation since someone digitized that VHS tape of Traci Lords and her tennis racket. As YouTube videos arose, a sudden demand for AquaNet developed around the world and a new generation of teens found hope in the depressing world of post-grunge anti-metal; there was something greater that they could aspire to be – Steel ‘Fan’thers. After all, if you can’t make a living being who and what they are … and YOU can’t! … then at least you can get on the bandwagon and support the positive side of having a wang and flailing it in public for the good of rock and roll!
On Thursday, April 3rd, Hustler Hollywood, the premier destination for all things that make a body feel good, opened its Sunset Strip doors to just 100 “invite only” die-hard fanatics that patiently lined the boulevard. A host of news reporters with cameras in tow and eager magazine writers gathered; looking to celebrate the long awaited release of Steel Panther’s 2014 CD titled “All You Can Eat.”
When the band arrived, somewhat disheveled and grinning ear to ear, they were escorted onto the stage area by a bevy of Hustler Models in fishnet tights and bejeweled mini-shorts, with tousled hair and dazed looks. Some even appeared to be weak in the knees, which meant only one thing; the boys were back in town! Kevin Chiaramonte, the band’s management representative, fielded questions from the audience as national magazine editors begged for answers to the real dirt fans want to hear about. “How does one cure herpes?” “Why does it burn when I pee?” and a long list of other less introspective questions were asked and answered. You’ll have to visit www.SteelPanther.tv for a broadcast of the day’s event to see if the band answered a question you may have.
Poised for action with an acoustic guitar and a pink polka dot bass (and hand held mirror), guitarist Satchel, bassist Lexxi Foxx, drummer Stix Zadinia and front man Michael Starr performed an all-hits set of song selections from their three CD’s. During the set, one high school fan got the treat of a lifetime. After begging Starr to take her to the prom, he responded by bringing her on stage for a personal rendition of the Steel Panther song “Girl From Oklahoma.”
The after-party took place at the world famous Rainbow Bar & Grill where the band supplied fans with an unending supply of pizza along with two special drinks they personally added to the bar selections – “The Glory Hole” (A Jack Daniels and Pepsi concoction) and “The Pussy Whipped” (which blended Cranberry Juice, Vodka and a spurt of what might have been soda). Attendees spent the evening getting up close and personal with the band. Each “Fanther” got a chance to take a photo or have their boobs signed with no regrets. Raging on until well after midnight, Steel Panther bid farewell with thanks, boarding their Panther mobile and leaving fans to continue the party without them.
During the meet and greet session, members of the band shared that with National Tour Dates starting in May of 2014, their Hollywood House of Blues Monday Night Residency will have just three dates scheduled before coming to an end. Complete details, news updates, social media links and the forthcoming tour dates can be found on the Steel Panther’s official website at www.SteelPanther.tv .

3 Steel Panther – Balls Out (2011)
After listening to Steel Panther’s latest opus, Balls Out, I feel like I need to take a long hot shower. Steel Panther’s latest edition of raunch and roll holds back no punches, and delivers 13 more tongue in cheek songs filled with sex and drug filled lyrics that will either make you laugh, or hurl, or both.
I don’t know what it is with Balls Out, but I didn’t find the songs as funny as Steel Panther’s debut Feel the Steel. In most of the songs, the jokes were only somewhat funny the first time around, but not so much after repeat listens. If you are a media darling, chances are you are included in Steel Panther’s lyrics. Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, George Clooney, and Tiger Woods all make Steel Panther’s hit list this time around.
Some songs seem derivative of other works…..the intro “In the Future” for Balls Out gives a strong nod towards the intro “In the Beginning” of Motley Crue’s Shout at the Devil album. “17 Girls In a Row” borrows a riff from Sammy Hagar’s “I Don’t Need Love”. It is a catchy tune, just not very original.
“If You Really Really Love Me” is really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really the dumbest song I have heard in 2011. ( You will have to listen to the song, to understand this statement).
“Gold Digging Whore” is another super catchy rocker, which lyrics done in fine cheerleader fashion.
Steel Panther has crafted the biggest power ballad of 2011 with their real tear ( or something else) jerker, “Weenie Ride”.
If you are easily offended, you are definitely need to skip Balls Out. The music is great, and Michael Starr aka Ralph Saenz delivers some killer vocals that sound like they came right out of 1989. Satchel aka Russ Parrish has surprised me with his awesome riffs on Balls Out. The song lyrics on Balls Out are graphically explicit, crude, and particularly offensive to women.
You definitely won’t want to play this in the work place, or around children. Purchase at your own risk….you have been warned!

0 STEEL PANTHER GOES BALLS OUT
Sophomore Album Slated For Release On November 1st Via Universal Republic Records
The legends of the Sunset Strip, Steel Panther, are getting ready to release their sophomore album Balls Out via Universal Republic Records. The album will be released on November 1st and will continue the raucous tradition of the band’s 2009 debut, Feel The Steel. The latest album features 14 soon to be classics such as “Just Like Tiger Woods,” ”“Gold Digging Whore” and “Weenie Ride.” The album also features cameos by Dane Cook on the album opener “In The Future” and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger and Extreme axeman Nuno Bettencourt show up on an instant classic, “It Won’t Suck Itself.” Balls Out was produced by Grammy nominated producer/mixer Jay Ruston who produced the band’s Feel The Steel debut and is known for his work with Anthrax, Meatloaf, The Donnas and Morrissey to name a few.
The first single from Balls Out is “17 Girls In A Row” and will be impacting at radio over the next few weeks. The song showcases the band’s ability to write memorable hooks while mixing them with their signature style lyrics like “I banged 17 girls in a grocery store and never lost my erection.” With its driving opening drum beat and infectious guitar riff, “17 Girls In A Row” will be sure to heat up rock airwaves and give it a much needed kick in the balls – no pun intended.
Steel Panther was, for a long time, rock’s best-kept secret: a cult legend on the LA scene. But in recent years due to the success of their debut, the band has enjoyed huge acclaim from fans and peers alike. At sell-out club shows in Hollywood and Las Vegas, Steel Panther has been joined on stage by rock and roll icons such as Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Paul Stanley of KISS, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park and Green Day to name a few. Across the Atlantic, the band has shared arena stages with ZZ Top and rocked an audience of 30,000 at the UK’s Download festival. In Germany, Feel The Steel was proclaimed ‘Best Debut Album’ at the Metal Hammer awards. The band will be heading out on a UK tour with Def Leppard and Motley Crue in December before coming back to start a nationwide tour of the US in 2012.
Steel Panther is Michael Starr (vocals), Satchel (guitar), Lexxi Foxx (bass) and Stix Zadinia (drums).

Vodpod videos no longer available.3 Rob Rockitt’s Top 13 of 2009
It seems like every year I put together a top list at Hard Rock Hideout, it becomes a harder task. In 2009, there was a crazy amount of excellent releases, and choosing the best ten was a daunting task to say the least. It was too hard to pick ten, so of course, I had to add some additional releases to my top list. The following releases are my top of 2009. All of these are worth picking up, and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase any of these a second time. Check them out and see what you think!
#13 Shake City – S/T
Eonian Records has released quite a few undiscovered gems in 2009. Their best release of 2009 is easily Shake City. Shake City features the original singer of Warrant, Adam Shore. I don’t know why Adam left Warrant, but the fates should have been kinder to his band Shake City. If this CD would have been released twenty years ago, this disc could have easily gone platinum. It is better than many of the hair metal releases of the late 80’s. It is a crime that this band didn’t get the mainstream success of their peers. If you are a hair metal fan, you need to find this CD now. You wont be disappointed.
#12 Papa Roach – Metamorphosis
Papa Roach started introducing songs from Metamorphosis into their live sets in 2008, and as a result, I was familiar with several of the tunes by the time this CD was released. In my opinion, this is the strongest Papa Roach CD to date, with several hit worthy tunes. A worthy pick up for the modern rock fans out there.
#11 Cheap Trick – The Latest
I must admit that I have never been the biggest Cheap Trick fan over the years, but I can not deny how good their latest CD, The Latest is. While this may not be the most rocking CD of 2009, it does have some fun rockers, and is quality music all the way through. Robin Zander still sounds great after all of these years. This is a must own CD for Cheap Trick fans, all others ought to give it a shot.
#10 Chickenfoot – S/T
This is another CD that I didn’t really know what to expect. Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony have been playing together in Van Halen for years, but how would this new band work out with Joe Satriani and Chad Smith? Satriani’s playing on this CD is great, and when he does cut loose, he doesn’t over shadow the rest of the band. Overall, Chickenfoot is a supergroup that could have some legs. I hope these guys stick around for a few more releases. Van Halen’s other half still delivers.
#9 The Answer – Everyday Demons
The Answer’s debut CD Rise was one of my favorites of 2007. I had high expectations for their U.S. Debut, Everyday Demons. Luckily, it did not disappoint me in the least. Everyday Demons is powered by Zeppelin influenced rockers “Demon Eyes”, “On and On” “Walkin’ Mat”. The band couldn’t have asked for a bigger tour to be on in 2009. Opening up for AC/DC has gained them a ton of new fans. I can’t wait to see what the band has in store for us next. The only thing I didn’t like about Everyday Demons was cover art.
#8 Steel Panther – Feel the Steel
Steel Panther could be the greatest hair metal parody band of all time. Feel the Steel is packed full of tongue in cheek lyrics that many folks may find offensive. You can’t deny the stellar musicianship of these California rockers. I had the opportunity to see the band play at M3 earlier this year, and they did not disappoint. When is the U.S. Club tour guys?
#7 Charm City Devils – Let’s Rock N’ Roll
Who would have thought that drummer John Allen would front a new kick ass rock and roll band in 2009? I didn’t at all. I have been rockin’ with CCD’s debut CD since its release. This is quality hard rock all the way through. In case you missed it, Charm City Devils had a pretty big year with their opening slot on the 2009 Cruefest. I am still hopeful that they will do a club tour, (and break out some Child Play tunes in their set).
#6 KISS – Sonic Boom
Sonic Boom is the first KISS CD in a long time that I have been able to listen to, all the way through without skipping a song. While I don’t consider this CD their best, it is definitely in their top ten, if not top five CD’s of all time. I didn’t expect this CD to be much. Sonic Boom was one of 2009’s biggest surprises.
#5 Coldspell – Infinite Stargaze
When I first heard the demo tracks from Coldspell in 2008, I about crapped myself. I couldn’t wait to hear Coldspell’s debut CD. I have played this CD over and over again in 2009, and will continue to do so for years to come. This is melodic rock at its finest.
#4 Winger – Karma
Holy Crap?! I get the feeling that Kip Winger and Reb Beach were pissed off when they wrote this record. This is easily the heaviest Winger album to date. Reb Beach unleashes his fury on his six strings, and Karma shines as a result. The songs aren’t all heavy, but they are all top quality. I am hopeful that Kip and company will tour for this album in 2010. Great Stuff, and worthy to be in anyone’s collection.
#3 Black Robot – S/T
Black Robot – I had no expectations when I first heard Black Robot’s self titled effort. I figured any band with former Buckcherry members would probably rock, but I had no idea that I would enjoy this CD as much as I have. “Cocaine” is easily the best cover song I have heard in 2009. Black Robot
gets the nod for best new band of 2009. If you missed this CD when it was released earlier this year, you will have to wait to grab this in 2010. The original pressing is out of print, but Black Robot will be re-releasing this CD next year with bonus tracks !!
#2 Paul Gilbert & Freddie Nelson – United States
United States has been my feelgood CD of 2009. Paul Gilbert’s guitar work is quite impressive, and Freddie Nelson’s mimicry of Freddie Mercury is pretty incredible. Once I started playing this, I couldn’t stop. Absolutely fantastic music!
#1 The Last Vegas – Whatever Gets You Off
The Last Vegas has been rocking hard since 2003, but their 2009 CD, Whatever Gets You Off is easily their breakthrough release. It didn’t hurt that they had a little help from Nikki Sixx, and DJ Ashba who produced this disc. I still don’t understand why this band didn’t get the nod for Cruefest last summer. They seemed tailor made for that festival but the promoters didn’t ask for my advice. Whatever Gets You Off is crazy good. Apologize might be the biggest power ballad of this decade (no I am not kidding). This is another great party CD, and easily my favorite of 2009.

1 ZZ TOP ANNOUNCE TWO UK SHOWS WITH SUPPORT FROM STEEL PANTHER
That little ol’ band from Texas – the legendary ZZ Top have announced that they will be returning to the UK to play two very special shows with support from the one and only Steel Panther.
After an unforgettable main stage performance at this year’s Download, Rock’s sharp dressed men will return to the UK this October to play two very special headline shows at Wembley Arena and Wolverhampton Civic Hall. ZZ Top have been together for 40 years and never once has their line up changed, they are one of the only bands with a career span of this magnitude to be able to lay claim to this distinction and boy does it show, not only were they inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, they were ranked number 44 on the VH1 ‘100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock’. Since the 80s they have had a string of massive hits, spawning some of the best and most instantly recognisable singles within the Hard Rock genre – ‘Gimme All Your Loving’, ‘Sharp Dressed Man’, ‘La Grange’ and ‘Legs’ to name but a few.
Support for these shows will come in the axe shredding, spandex wearing, spawn of your mum and the devil – Steel Panther who not only played a jaw dropping set at Download this year but also played An incredible sold out show at the 229 Club in London. Known for their outrageous stage presence and gargantuan guitar riffs, the band have been entertaining fans and scores of rock and entertainment VIPs with their raucous antics via L.A.’s longest running heavy metal show on the Sunset Strip for nearly a decade.
This is going to be one of THE rock shows of 2009 – fact. You’d be seriously insane to miss it.

Steel Panther are audacious frontman Michael Starr, who together with, Stix Zadinia on drums, Satchel on guitar, and bassist Lexxi Foxx ignite audiences from every walk of life with their unbridled valentine that goes right for the jugular of the heavy metal repertoire. The band recently wowed UK audiences with a tent busting performance at Download festival, which was undoubtedly one of the most anticipated debut performances by a band whose album hadn’t even come out! The UK trip’s crowing glory was a headline show at the 229 club in London which will go down in history as a triumph for the return of heavy metal!

14 Steel Panther – Feel the Steel (2009)
I think the warning statement on the back of the Feel the Steel CD case pretty much says it all. “This CD that you are about to listen to contains parodies that feature foul language, adult content, satanic imagery, and depictions of sexually deviant fantasies that may offend the religious right, the unreligious left, fat girls, skinny girls, metrosexuals, animal lovers, animal haters, hippies, skinheads, the current presidential administration and people with ears. The record label and its parent companies do not endorse or support the opinions of Steel Panther. They just think the f–king rock.”
Hair metal parody bands are not a new thing. Skrapp Mettle arguably did it first, of course some may say Spinal Tap, but that wasn’t a real band. The bottom line is this, none of them were as good as Steel Panther. If you are easily offended, you probably aren’t going to like this disc. If you have a sick or twisted mind, Feel the Steel is going to make you laugh, as well as make you rock. I saw these guys at M3 and they were great live. I knew I had to seek out a copy of this disc as soon as possible. The band has changed names quite a few times. The were originally known as Danger Kitty, Metal Shop & Metal Skool prior to Steel Panther. They band is pretty well known in L.A., but as Steel Panther they are beginning to make a name for themselves globally. Quite a few of the songs on the CD, are carried over from the extremely hard to find Metal Shop CD, Hole Patrol. Nonetheless, Feel the Steel rocks all the way through. There isn’t a bad song on the CD.
Every time I listen to this disc, I hear quite a few bands that Steel Panther has borrowed from. Whitesnake, Warrant, Van Halen, RATT and Bon Jovi are just a few of the bands that Steel Panther has taken their sound from. The amazing thing is the music is so tight, you almost forget that you listening to a parody band. The lyrics won’t let you forget for long though. If this CD was a movie, it would definitely be X-Rated. Feel The Steel is not appropriate for kids, so don’t even try to play this one if your family is present.
Feel the Steel may not be for everyone, but I have enjoyed this one quite a bit, and I think a bunch of you will too.
For more info on Steel Panther, check out the band’s myspace page. This CD is not available in the United States as of yet, but you can purchase it here, and here.

3 STEEL PANTHER RELEASES VIDEO, TAKE SHOTS AT GOO GOO DOLLS, 50 CENT, AND MADONNA
Hollywood hair metal dreamers Steel Panther have launched an all out attack on the pop mainstream with their newest video “Death to All But Metal”. Asserting their alpha male dominance with plenty of hairspray, spandex, and sick stage moves, Steel Panther have taken shots against anyone NOT flying the hair metal flag. Kanye West, Madonna, and 50-Cent are among the superstars targeted by lead singer Michael Starr’s wrath in the clip.
“Death to All But Metal” is an homage to Van Halen’s classic “Hot For Teacher” video and also features a cameo by smart mouth comedienne Sarah Silverman as the school principal.
Steel Panther’s new album, Feel The Steel, hits stores on 6/9 (how fitting is that date?!)
