4 Adler – Back From The Dead (2012)
When former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler comes back from the dead, he means it. When Adler’s new CD hits the stores on 11/27, prepare to be BLOWN AWAY! Back From The Dead is packed with great songs, and some killer guest appearances from John 5, Slash and Jeff Pilson. I have been looking forward to Adler’s solo debut for quite some time, but I didn’t expect it to be THIS good.
I had high hopes for this album after hearing “The One That You Hated” a few months ago. Back From The Dead does not disappoint one bit!
Jeff Pilson produced the album with Adler, and also handles all of the bass work on the CD. When you have a rhythm section that is Steven Adler and Jeff Pilson, can you really do wrong?
Steven Adler scored big when he got Lynam’s Jacob Bunton to join his band. No only does Bunton handle the vocals for Adler, but is also the lead song writer. Bunton has written a bunch of quality songs, and delivers what could be the vocal performance of his career.
The opening song “Back From The Dead” almost has a Cinderella like opening, but once this song kicks into gear, it is a take no prisoners, head-banging tune.
“Own Worst Enemy”, “Another Version of The Truth” and “The One That You Hated” are three more killer tracks stacked up back to back.
I was excited to learn that John 5 is one of the guest guitarists on Back From The Dead. If you are familiar with John 5, then you will recognize his playing on “Good To Be Bad”. His guitar work is amazing on this song!
I figured that “Just Don’t Ask featuring Slash would be a real ripping track, and I was very wrong about that one. This is a slower track, but Slash’s fretwork shines. This is a great song!
“Blown Away” is a real rocker that ought to be a radio single for Adler. This song is going to take the world by storm.
“Your Diamonds” has a 70’s classic rock feel, while the album closer “Dead Wrong” has a more of a modern feel to it.
Back From The Dead is easily one of the biggest surprises, and strongest albums of 2012. I love this album, and I think you will too! Don’t miss this!

0 New Adler Video “The One That You Hated” Online
In the video for “The One That You Hated,” former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler takes on destructive relationships with his new band. “The lyrics are about two people that are no good for each other, but for whatever reason won’t break up,” says frontman Jacob Bunton. “Maybe it’s the sex, maybe it’s the convenience, maybe they’re just scared to move on and start over, but a lot of people seem to be attracted to the people that they hate. Love and hate are intimately linked within the human brain.”
Although it’s an early Adler track, “Hated” was one of the last songs the band recorded for their album. “One night Slash was at the studio and we played him a couple of the songs,” reveals Bunton. “When this song started playing, he was grinning ear to ear, so we knew either it’s a kick-ass song or it’s so bad we’re making him laugh.”
For Adler, the new project is an invigoration, a fresh breath of creativity. “I love the music we’re creating!” he says. “I haven’t been this excited about my band since the GN’R days.” “Hated” is the first single off the band’s debut album, Adler. No release date has been set.

0 HRH Live Featuring Adler’s Appetite
Friday night Adler’s Appetite came to Cincinnati’s Riverstar Entertainment Complex to unleash their renditions of Guns N’ Roses awesome tunes. The band features former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler, Chip Z’nuff (Enuff Z’nuff) on bass, Rick Stitch (Ladyjack) on vocals, Michael Thomas (Faster Pussycat) and Alex Grossi (Quiet Riot) on guitar.
Local bands The Mighty Swine, and A Nervous Wreck opened the show. The Mighty Swine played a cool set of original tunes. A Nervous Wreck did a good job getting the crowd revved up with a bunch of cover tunes from the bands Poison, Ratt, L.A. Guns and more.
Adler’s Appetite hit the stage about 11:oo P.M. and played a great set of tunes covering the Guns N’ Roses albums, “Appetite for Destruction”, as well as the “Use Your Illusion” albums.
Rick Stitch may not be Axl Rose, but he did a good job signing these songs. I was pretty impressed with the guitar tandem of Alex Grossi and Michael Thomas as well. Adler’s Appetite may not be anything more than a glorified cover band, but at least Steven Adler is trying to keep the Guns N’ Roses music alive and well. Until Axl Rose gets his head out of his ass and reunites the class G N’ R linuep, this is as good as it gets!
1 Steven Adler Arrested Again!
According to TMZ.com, former GUNS N’ ROSES drummer Steven Adler was arrested on Monday, January 26 and charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance — a misdemeanor. He was released the same day at 10:50 a.m. on $50,527 bail. No court date has been set.
Steven‘s representatives tell TMZ.com that Adler was **NOT** under the influence of drugs at the time of his arrest. Adler — who was busted last July for possession of narcotics, being under the influence and for an outstanding warrant, and was ordered by the court to stay at the Pasadena Recovery Center — was arrested this past Monday because he hadn’t finished his community service in the time frame given by the judge. The representatives say Adler went to register as a drug offender — also court-ordered — on January 26, when cops acted on the arrest warrant stemming from the unfinished community service. He was charged with “being under the influence of a controlled substance” because that was the original charge from his July arrest.

1 Steven Adler Pleads No Contest
Reuters.com is reporting:
Former GUNS N’ ROSES drummer Steven Adler pleaded no contest on Friday to a heroin possession charge in the hopes of avoiding jail time by entering a treatment program, officials said.
Adler, 43, who was fired from the band over drug problems in 1990, also hopes to reunite with his old bandmates, said his attorney, Barry Gerald Sands.
“When he gets sober they’ll accept him into the band and then they’ll do a comeback album and a world tour, that’s the dream of Steven Adler,” Sands told Reuters, after an upbeat Adler entered his plea in Los Angeles Superior Court.
A representative from Guns N’ Roses could not immediately be reached for comment.
Guns N’ Roses on November 23 will release the long awaited album Chinese Democracy, a project lead singer Axl Rose has shepherded through a revolving cast of musicians for years.
Adler is scheduled to appear in court on December 12 to determine if he is eligible for drug treatment instead of jail.
If Adler enters drug treatment, his misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance will be dismissed, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office said.
Adler was arrested in Los Angeles on July 18, after someone called police to report he was causing a disturbance.
He appeared this year on the reality television show Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew during an earlier attempt to get off drugs.
